There is a vast selection of everything needed to help make your next asian meal a success. Spices, fish, rice, noodles, pita, the list truly goes on and on. The staff are very helpful and keep everything neat and clean. I have been shopping here for many years. Come see for yourself.You just may leave with a full cart and a big smile.”

“As I do enjoy the cheap prices and friendly service. I do think that security needs to take customer safety more seriously. I was shopping with my tween and husband, when a female came up to us and said: " I'm trying to feed my 3 kids, and I can't afford it." First off I know this is a scam, second off I know that there are plenty of places to get food for the needy in Carbondale. She seemed to be on drugs (I'm a recovering addict, I can detect a drug addict pretty well.) She wouldn't make eye contact, and couldn't keep her story straight (I asked her about her kids three times, and she kept giving different names and ages.) Then I told her that I was using food stamps, and that she would not be able to get money back for the food. She decided she didn't need food anymore. When I told the security guard, he blew me off. I do hope she gets the help she needs.”

“I would give 10 stars if it was possible but 5 is the highest rating. It was a great experience that left me feeling good about it all. The parking lot was clean and close to the store with plenty of light. They have 0 carts left in the parking lot causing frustration when trying to park unliike the other grocery stores It makes sense looking back at my experience and how everyone was genuinely happy . Strangers offering to help others with random things such as getting their cart to shop with and reaching items higher than what another could access. The store itself was exceptionally clean and had plenty of inventory to choose from . The lanes or isle's could very easily fit 2 shopping carts as they pass by one another . The cashier's were in great spirits and a pleasure to interact with during the check out process. To the main reason I wanted to leave this review is simply and you will see in the picture attached to my review. The amount of food that I was able to purchase for $140 easily filled up 6 big brown paper shop bags . Oh and the bags here come with handles built into them. Anything less than what I experienced during this trip to the grocery store is simply lack of effort on the other big name brand stores live Wal Mart,Kroger,”

“This is my new go to store & Bruce is AMAZING!!!Bruce went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me find the holiday canvas I feel in love with online, after previously going to store #16875 (555 Old Hwy 51, Carbondale) and having Lisa tell me she wouldn't even help me. She refused to look on the floor nor in back, and when I asked the sick person he sounded wasted, and oblivious to what I saying.Thank you Bruce & Dollar General #9297!!!”

“Umm, it's a Save a Lot, not a Whole Foods. That being said, the Latin food section is lit. Don't sleep on the donuts/muffins either. But no, this is a very basic grocery store with some bargains, especially in the frozen foods area.”

“Kroger fuel points are nice, saved 3 cents a gallon. It is easy to get in-and-out for gas. The bathrooms are kind of a pain because the attendant has to open them for you, but they are relatively clean. Has basic snacks and drinks.”

“Wow..i was really impressed. I came in for tires. The auto center was well manned, the manager gave me excellent service. He quoted me for 4 tires, wipers and a roadside warranty. I was pleased with the price and his knowledge of the products. I was then directed to the service writer who wrote up my order, gave me a ticket and said they would text me when the car was ready. They all wore masks, had hand sanitizer at the entrance, put on protective coverings in the car and took great precautions during this Covid19 pandemic. I then went into the store to do some shopping. There were many employees working hard at stocking and cleaning shelves. I stopped to ask multiple employees about different things i was looking for and they were all so friendly and knowledgeable of their store. I even asked the pharmacist about his recommendations for a cream for my grandson and he was so helpful. The lot was clean. The cashier was incredibly friendly, and even though she had a mask on, I knew she was smiling. I really was super impressed! I would give this store 10 stars if I could.”

The labor market sucks, I know, but whoever is in charge at Murphysboro needs to communicate WAY BETTER WITH EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS ALIKE!!”
