“I can post many good comments about Avidor Evanston, but this time I just want to write about the fantastic maintenance team of Horacio and Elias. They respond to work requests promptly and do the job perfectly. And they always say hi in elevator! I'm just starting my 6th year at Avidor Evanston, so I wanted to give a special Thank You! to Horacio.”
“From the moment we moved in, we’ve felt right at home. The building is beautifully modern with thoughtful details throughout, from the sleek design to the cozy common spaces. The amenities are incredible, and the sky roof and pool are truly the standouts, with gorgeous views and a relaxing, boutique-hotel feel that we enjoy all summer long.
As dog parents, we’re especially grateful for how much The Albion loves pets. Our pup, Freya, is treated like family and gets all the friendly greetings to the endless treats at the front desk. It’s rare to find a luxury building that feels this warm and pet-friendly.
But what makes The Albion truly exceptional is the team. Shandora, Mina, Greg, and the rest of the front desk crew go above and beyond every single day. They know residents by name, are always happy to help, and genuinely make this building feel like a community.
So happy to call this place home!”
“We lived here for two years during my husband's schooling at Kellogg. We felt that this was the best value of the large, common Kellogg buildings. The apartments are much bigger than some of the other high rises with similar or even lower prices. The amenities are also pretty great and this is a quieter building, which was important to me as a working individual.
And we wouldn't be able to leave a review for the building without talking about the people that make it great. The property manager, Mike, has always been responsive and helpful. He's incredibly kind and knows everyone's names, always greeting you when you see him. He cares a lot about his residents. He even went above and beyond and saved a package for my husband that he accidentally had delivered to the building after we moved out and we were able to go get it. Edward, the head of maintenance, is also incredibly kind and helpful. He's very quick to fix any issues and never once failed to fix our issue, even when it felt like a far-fetched ask.”
“The Main Apartments are in a fantastic location in Evanston, close to great restaurants, shops, and transit. The building offers beautiful views and a welcoming, pet-friendly environment that makes it feel like home. The staff, Pam, Charity, and Steve, are always kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful. Their friendly service really sets this place apart. Overall, it’s a wonderful community in a great part of town!”
“Incredible place to live. Apartments are in fantastic condition, neighbors are courteous, and Kevin at the leasing office is fantastically helpful (and always accessible). Would highly recommend.”
“My girlfriend and I moved from FL and were stressed about finding a new place to call home, however, 1717 Evanston has made the move simply and amazing. The apartment has a great gym, it is located close to both the Metra and L, the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, and the maintenance team is top notch they are quick and efficient. Additionally, the apartments host Yoga on Saturday which is a nice touch it feels almost like having a private session.”
“I spoke to Kayla today. She was knowledgeable, professional and just as sweet as can be. She welcomed my questions and took a lot of time to understand my needs. All the on site staff were equally as kind and attentive. They factor greatly into putting Premiere apartments at the top of my short list!”
“Pros:Great windows, decent hardwood flooring, and renovated modern bathrooms. There is an elevator and parking garage. The kitchens are generally small but at least renovated. You rarely hear footsteps or upstairs neighbors. Clean hallways and lobby. There is also a gym which is clean and has only a few visitors. The staff is really responsive, especially George who manages maintenance. I'm not sure what other reviews are alluding to, but George will fix issues within 24 hours without complaint. You only pay for electric and some miscellaneous garbage/water monthly fee. Sidewalks are always shoveled and salted in the winter. Pet-friendly. Shared rooftop patio that has an amazing view, but people rarely use it. This location is also right across from a small field which is great for dogs, and the lake is a 5-10 minute walk down the road. Big closets too.Cons:Yes, the walls are thin. My unit isn't that noisy, but there are some noises that travel through the walls clearly. The biggest con is the AC and heating unit. There is no central heating, only an electrical unit. Does it heat/cool the rooms? Yes, absolutely. But it's not efficient, or maybe the insulation isn't strong enough. That's the trade-off for big windows. My electric bill never exceeded $80, but it absolutely will go over $100 and even $200 if you have your heating/AC running day and night. I personally only heat/cool the room I'm in, and I don't use heating at night. You can manage your costs better than central, but to each their own. The parking garage has an incredibly long wait list, but at least there's free parking everywhere in the area. You might need to walk a few minutes. Conclusion:These apartments are pretty nice. The windows are especially what attracted me, and it's generally comfortable to live here. If you're hung up on heating in the winter, then you definitely should look elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this building to any families with children, but it's great for singles and couples.”
“I wrote an adverse review previously, but Main Station has really stepped it up. Sally is really awesome as the property manager. She's a joy to work with and responds timely to all maintenance requests. They have responded to my previous concerns about security and it is no longer an issue. They did address the more troubling residents as they no longer reside in the building. I posted this freely and without any influence. Main station is a place you should definitely consider in the future.”
“The amenities are nice and clean, has a gym, sauna, working area and social lounge. The staff are nice and welcoming, the community assistant Alida was super helpful when I locked myself out in the middle of the night. Will recommend!”
“My son moved in 5months ago. So far so good! The floor had some paint stains we could not remove. The maintenance team is great! They took care of the washing machine immediately and ordered a part to repair it.”
“I am new here, but after a week I am extremely happy with the team, the house and the building.
Reina and Pat in the office have been nothing but helpful. And the doorman Eddy is a ray of sunshine.”
“Troy the Leasing Agent is excellent, so much so, I put in an application at the end of my tour on 5/3/24. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, patient, the best knowledge of the property. TLC is fortunate to have Troy.”
“I lived at 1320 Chicago for 2.5 years and LOVED it. Were there issues with bugs? Not sure. I never saw many and also got the monthly exterminator service. Family emergency made me have to leave, and at some point I plan to return.”
“We like the building, the amenities and the staff. The building is well maintained and any maintenance requests have been handled promptly. The workout facility is very high-end for an apartment complex. Great proximity to transit, restaurants, shops and Northwestern University.”
