“No one ever is ever looking forward to calling a towing service after their car breaks down ( Anyway, with that comment being said ). It is in No way reflective of the two ( 2 ) recent experiences that I have had with Chicago 24 Hour towing ( one on Nov. 24 / 2025 and the other on Dec. 11 / 2025 ). My tow truck operator ( Robert ) both the times that I had to use their service was great ( I was present at one of the towing's and not at the other one ). He was adroit at solving the parking and towing issues involved in getting my car from where it had broken down to the service center. He was also prompt in his arrival time at the pickup locations, with excellent ( and friendly ) customer service, along with very fair pricing in regards to the towing charges. So if you are ever in need of towing services in the Chicago area. I would highly recommend using Chicago 24 Hour towing at 5332 North Elston Avenue.”

“5 stars for Dean and Crew! I had a cracked windshield from a fallen tree branch that was supposed to be an easy fix with Safelite...turns out some corrosion along the frame would've left me with a compromised seal with potential leaks and Safelite recommended FIRST going to a body shop. Since I work walking distance from Wilmette Autobody...I thought I'd give them a shot. Glad I did!
Super fair price to repair the rust/corrosion and made scheduling my visit with Safelite super easy (they simply installed windshield at Wilmette Autobody). Job was done in a day!

“Found my new mechanic! My car had been making noises which I decided to put off cause I have poor decision making. My hand was forced when my car made a horrible grinding noise, started smoking and smelling horrible. The next day I had my car towed to kims (with just a phone call a bit earlier to let em know I was coming). Within 30 seconds of my car being off the truck, Muhammad had diagnosed the issue. He brought me inside, and broke down exactly what went wrong and the pricing breakdown of parts and labor. He also explained what it would cost in a rare unfortunate case if I had broken another part in the process. I was called less than 24 hours later to pick up my car I had towed in the day before. Before I could even ask , I was presented with the broken part , and shown exactly what went wrong. My old Volvo is running better than I could have thought, I wasn't aware how noisy my engine had become until the noise wasn't there anymore. I am excited to share with everyone what I think is the best possible place they can bring their car. After getting screwed around by other local shops, I truly feel I've found somewhere trustworthy and able. While I don't want to be back anytime soon (let me breathe car!), the peace of mind having a trusted mechanic is a welcomed feeling I haven't felt before”

I had a great experience at Petco Auto Parts & Service. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. I needed a few parts for my vehicle and some repair work done, and they delivered on both fronts.
The mechanic, Eddy, I worked with was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the issue clearly, without any upselling or pressure. The parts were high quality and reasonably priced, and the service was done on time and with great attention to detail.

“My young son and I were driving to the Shedd Aquarium from Waukesha, WI when my check oil light came on. I will admit that I am completely ignorant when it comes to just about anything with cars, so I had no idea what kind of damage I could be doing to the car to continue driving, and I was a good 2 hours from home. I happened to find Kris Touhy Auto because I searched for a BP gas station close to me along my route -- and sure enough attached to the BP was this auto shop. I was shaken, I was embarrassed, I was rushed -- and the two men in the shop (an older gentleman and a younger man) immediately stopped what they were doing and both came out to check my oil level and fill it up -- for like pennies! They even showed my son (and me) how to do it. I can't say enough good things about these men and this shop. It seems like a simple, easy thing for most, but they saved the day for me, and it had a huge impact on my day. If I lived closer, you'd be my go-to! Thanks, gentlemen.”

I’m usually nervous about going to shops out of fear that they will take advantage of me, but their estimator, Freddy, made this process extremely comfortable and seamless for me. “My daughter just recently moved to the Roscoe Village area of Chicago and called me in a panic because her check engine light was on and her car sounded rough. “I have used Richard's and have recommended people to this shop for many years. They have upgraded the shop to make it clean, accessible ( easy in and out ) spacious and very comfortable. “This place is great! My tire was low on air and I was trying to find a place to fill it. They were already closed by the time I got there, and a man inside was locking up. However, when I asked him if there was another place I could go to get air, he opened the garage back up, turned on the pump, and helped me out! It was such a kind gesture, and I am truly grateful.
