Pet Grooming

K9 Tailshakers
9204 Gulfstream Rd, FrankfortEveryone at K9 Tailshakers was great, they take the time to train both your dog and yourself to teach your pup obedience and good behavior. Troopers trainer Kat really took her time to explain the right and wrong ways to train him (he’s a high drive Belgian Malinois/ Dutch Shepherd and can be stubborn at times) I highly recommend them

Hair Of The Dog Pet Spa
9610 W Monee Manhattan Rd, FrankfortBest groomer EVER! Rhi and her staff are beyond professional and caring for fur-clients and their owners! I by luck found her salon when I moved 1500 miles across the country to our new hardwood floor ? and completely forgot to get my pup’s nails trimmed. Though they were booked Rhi squeezed her in and charged me $5! It was the best welcome and we found a lifelong groomer. Rhi treats all animals with the utmost respect and care. I have seen how tirelessly she works to get all her clients scheduled. Plan ahead and make an appointment, because when you’re the best in the area with affordable rates, you understand this. Hair of the Dog is bustling!

Equine Veterinary Practice
24856 S Center Rd, FrankfortI can't say enough about the wonderful veterinarian Dr. Wagner is. I love my horses and consider my horses "family," and need my vet to understand that. Ready to Go Veterinary Rehabilitation
41 Ash St, FrankfortSeveral years ago our 4 year old Aussie, Daisy, tore her CCL(like an ACL in humans). Dr. Woodside helped with her rehab after her surgery and she is doing great! Dr. Woodside is currently treating Daisy and her litter mate,Cutter, to prevent any further injuries. They are 7 now and are playing like they are 2. I recommend Dr. Woodside to all my friends.

Frankfort Animal Care Center
9375 W Laraway Rd, FrankfortDr. Jamie is genuinely attentive and always takes the time to answer my questions (and I usually have plenty). She notices details, is gentle with my cats, and makes sure I feel comfortable and informed about their care. It’s clear she cares about her patients and their humans.
The women who work at the front desk deserve a special mention, too. They’re welcoming, patient, and always make the whole process easy, from scheduling appointments to checking in. I always feel like I’m in good hands when I walk through the door.
If you’re looking for a vet who truly cares about your pets and a team who makes every visit pleasant Dr. Jamie and her staff are the best choice I’ve found. My cats and I are both grateful to have them.

Pet Sitting & Training

Blitzen Canine Academy Inc
8913 W Dralle Rd, FrankfortBlitzen is a wonderful training facility. I love the training style over other places in the area. Blitzen really shines in the dog sports of agility, nosework, rally and obedience. I also appreciate the great strides they’ve made in strengthening the family dog programs like CGC, CGCA, CGCU, and trick dog. The family dog program is a hidden gem at Blitzen. My dog and I currently do not train there as she really didn’t take to agility, but the foundations we learned from working with Kim in obedience/agility and Jacque in CGC/CGCA/CGCU certifications have really helped us to develop great teamwork that we use in our therapy dog programs and other activities we’ve been trying out. This is a great place to get some quality training for you and your pup. You’ll develop a great bond with your dog, classmates, and quite possibly the wonderful community of dog sports.

Club K9 at the Ranch
9436 W Steger Rd, FrankfortWe had our red lab Ryder there for a week while on vacation. The whole process/service from beginning to end was fantastic! They made us feel that he would be in good hands, which helped ease the anxiety of leaving him for an extended period. Other places remind me of doggie jail, this place more like doggie country club. We appreciate very much all the care that was given, and the updated pictures and messages on their app were a big plus as well. Highly recommend!

The Wine Thief Provisions & Bistro
6 Elwood St, FrankfortWe feasted here, big time! Flavorful, elevated dishes and really interesting and unique cocktails. We also had good choices of wine. My favorite dish was a tie between the perfectly-done steak fries and the yummy succotash scallops. Good sauces with the grilled shrimp. Our table also indulged in the menu specials. No complaints, no notes. Everything was solid.
