“I always go here before any other improvement store. Always friendly staff and always very helpful. But this particular day there was an employee named Connie at the wentzville location that made me feel so welcome. She was knowledgeable and helped me make a hard decision about what color stain I needed. This employee is a keeper. I was having a horrible day but after my encounter with her which was a few minutes her kindness turned my day around. She was in the paint dept. AWSOME!”
“Seamless ordering and delivery service. I recently purchased a Flex Die Grinder. Beaver Industrial Supply price was a bit better, $20 lower than most online tool shops. Website was clean so ordering the tool was simple. I immediately received confirmation of order. The next day, I received an email that it shipped and email included the tracking information. The tool arrived 1 week from ordering. Nice!!! Packaging was done right - solid box overpack with bubblewrap inside. The tool packaging was prestine and completely sealed by Flex Tool Manufacturing - not opened before... Die Grinder was in perfect shape and works perfectly. This was a perfect order, ship and delivery experience.”
“I went to 4 other places including another Ace trying to get my truck key copied, I was in the store for less than 2 minutes and the key was cut and the employee was out to my truck programming the transponder key. Less than 5 minutes and I had my key, and it was only 30 bucks! I'll be coming back for another spare key soon. Thanks!”
“Went in there to kill some time before the bank opened up. They had alot of selections on STHIL tools and equipment. Definitely more of a rental place then a hardware store. The customer service was excellent and they had a wide selection of STIHL saws, weed eaters, and power equipment. Definitely need to check them out if you're in the market for that.”

“We woke up to our air conditioner not working this morning, so after a few self test and a little googling I came to the conclusion I needed a start/run capacitor. I called Pace Hardware and the young lady who answered confirmed they tested and carried capacitors. They tested mine said it was bad and had the replacement, we’re back in business! Thank You! “Oh boy, was this a swell experience. I came in wanting new wiper blades and was met with the most helpful smile in any aisle - a man by the name “King Julian.” Not only did he help me find the appropriate wiper blades, he also personally installed them despite the cold, dreary weather and the police helicopter soaring overheard during the Granite City Manhunt of the century. One might generally feel unsafe with the dozens of cop cars speeding past every few minutes, but not I, for I had my own personal security. Thank you, Cotton’s Ace Hardware, this will not be an experience I soon forget.”

“I don't really like going to any hardware, lumber store, but this place usually has what you need. It's hard to find help sometimes, but I usually can find what I Need by myself. I do love how many Christmas decorations they carry and Halloween too. In the spring they have lots of flowers, trees and bushes. It always seems clean and organized. I am a person who does not like checking myself out, so I hope they don't go completely to that. I always get my paint here, they have a great selection of colors. Overall, it's nice store.”
