“I’ve never left a review on a place that I’ve been to, but I must say that this is one of the cutest little stores I’ve ever came across. The jewelry (although some pieces are a bit more pricey than others) is super cute and I had a fun time looking through it all. The entire store has a nice cozy, cluttered feel to it, almost like you’re at your grandmas house (in the best way possible). Would definitely come back here!”

“This is one of the nicer Goodwill stores in the greater Chicago area. As others have mentioned, it's clean, staff is super helpful, and the items are well organized.
I would like to see the dresses hung by size and not by color but other than that it's a place I'll be coming back to!”
“I love shopping at the thrift store.Not worrying bout what no one else thinks. you can find everything you need from A to Z for your house yourself kids. every now and then they may have something new. they definitely have used stuff.some people are skeptical about buying used clothes you just wash them that's all. when you go to the store and buy new clothes many people done tried them on. Only difference is you don't wash those and lot of sweatiebodies tried it on. But I never buy undergarments used. Some people may really need the use boiling water with soap let them sit. I did buy some jeans and shirts for the children and other things but the main thing I was looking for was sleeping bags.I found 6 good condition.2 to 5$. I bought some large spoons from there before my friend told me I shouldn't. I told her that when you go stay at the hospital you're using spoons that other people used. the hospital don't wash them good. at least u can was them much better ur self. Happy shopping people will be blessed and happy on purpose”

“This place is great! When I tell people about it, I personally call it Debbie’s DAMN good deals, I’m just so excited! We got a great table and chairs here. It was exactly what I was looking for and I get a lot of compliments on it. It was a little dusty but most of the furniture wasn’t too hard to get the dust off.”

Not only is clean, spacious and filled with goodies but the PRICES are amazing. The lady workers are very sweet & made me feel welcomed. I couldn’t believe how many good finds I got from here. “Large, well organized and cleaner than some of the other locations I've shopped at. I scored lots of picture frames, some books, a gold sequin cotton top with the original store tags, a glass bowl set, and more. There were an amazing number of high quality women's boots, possibly including some real riding boots.”
“With Aldi next door, its like a perfect little bundle of fun and financial savings wrapped up in a perfect bow.
At Unique, you could quickly find something you need in here if youre in a rush, or you can also dig a little deeper and find some gems. It's really up to you. The place is well-organized and kept tidy and their inventory is massive.”

“Salvation Army is one of those places where you never really know what you’re going to find, and that sense of surprise is a big part of the appeal. Every visit feels like a small treasure hunt. For me, the book section is easily the highlight. It’s easy to spend a lot of time flipping through shelves, discovering forgotten novels, oddball nonfiction, or the occasional hidden gem you’d never expect to see.
That said, the experience isn’t always perfect. There are clearly some customers who act as full-time resellers and seem to camp out the store. While that’s part of thrift-store culture, it can be frustrating when it appears that certain employees may be setting items aside or giving those shoppers early access. When that happens, it takes away from the fairness and spontaneity that make thrifting enjoyable in the first place.
Thrift stores work best when everyone has an equal chance at finding something special. When favoritism—real or perceived—enters the picture, it can make regular shoppers feel discouraged.
Even with that downside, Salvation Army still delivers moments of discovery, especially in the book section. With a little patience and the right timing, you can still walk away with something unexpected, which is ultimately why people keep coming back.”

“Cheers for Salvation Army for not throwing fast fashion into the garbage. My only issue with this place is the people cut in line and go crazy running in like it’s the game show “Supermarket Sweep”. It’s not Black Friday and there isn’t a cash prize. It does pay the arrive early as there will be nice stuff in the bins from time to time. I saw someone discovered two 100 dollar bills inside a hdden pocket in a really old purse….
I have never left here with no purchases that’s for damn sure….
As far as the retail store I usually go in there after the bins but it feels like I’m being r*ped with the prices bc the bins are so cheap..”

“Went to donate today, and the process was pretty easy to do. If you have heavy stuff go to the alley knock on the red door and they will carry everything for you. If you have small bags of stuff you go in the front entrance and place it in a cart that they labeled donations. Everything was easygoing. Place inside was neat and clean too....which is a plus for the people shop there.”
