“We have purchased our hardware needs from Lake Forest Ace Hardware since we moved here years ago. One of our purchases was a large Weber grill. Late last week we had a storm in the area and our beautiful grill was picked up by a micro burst and tossed across the patio. We called the hardware owner Chris and he personally came over and placed everything inside it that was all tossed into a mess back in perfect order and made sure it was working perfectly. WHO DOES THAT !!!……..YOU CAN DEPEND ON THEM !! THANKS CHRIS”

“The store is so well stocked and neatly arranged, it was a real surprise to me while I was waiting for my knives to be sharpened. I found coffee, machines, vacuum, cleaners, and all kinds of tools, lightbulbs, even shoe insoles. It’s got the amount of merchandise in Menards in a very small space so if you don’t like a lot of walking, go to Ace, the service machines lawnmowers, maybe, fix windows and screen doors and perhaps other services that I’m not aware of if you have to call.”

“I have rented with Mutual Rentals couple times, customer service is top tier, as a girl, I have no idea about the lifts and all kinds of equipment but the staff has always been so helpful and supportive. Ryan and Dave are so great! Would definitely recommend this place to all of my clients!!”

“I recently ordered an item for pickup and it arrived next day. While picking it up I purchased another item for which I received friendly and competent assistance to find. It's always a pleasure shopping at Mutual!”

“I have been a customer for over 40 years. Store provides excellent service. I know from reading other reviews, it is hard to please everyone. Ron doesn’t know me, but his staff of Scooter, Bob, Jerry and Noah are all wonderful! One thing that they don’t sell is that the owner, Ron hardly ages as he has the fountain of youth! I am Asian and I look old and he doesn’t! lol. He still looks young! His son is working there now as another generation is taking over. Anyhow, it is not easy to operate any business! My compliments to the staff and owner!”

“We’ve been using Advanced Turf Solutions for our fertilizer and overseeding products for the past few years and have had an excellent experience. The quality of their turf products has been consistently superior, and the results we’re seeing across the properties we manage have been outstanding. A big part of that experience has been our rep, Craig Shepard. When we first started building out our fertilizer program, Craig took the time to help us put together the right plan for our area and made sure we had the right products and knowledge to execute it properly. His local expertise and support have been incredibly valuable. If you’re looking for a reliable turf supplier with high-quality products and knowledgeable support, we highly recommend Advanced Turf Solutions.”

“For the guy would couldn't get his board that he purchased from some other store - it's a hardware store, not a lumberyard - they carry limited wood products and don't have the tools to do what he was asking. You'll find Depot, Lowes and other big box home improvement stores won't cut materials from other store either. I would recommend that Mike buys a saw while at this popular Ace hardware store and cuts it himself like most people do.”

“Good bunch of people. They know how to get you what you need . If they don't have it they find it and get it fast . Delivery is available, they have access to a lift that can get your stuff to the roof in many cases . Commercial sales here not for homeowners. Very nice that they stock more than one of most items . So you can get a couple of an item at one time . Many others these days have only have min stock on site and you always get told "I can have that for you in a day "”

“Probably my favorite Lowe's store in the area. The store is always stocked and the staff is super friendly and always making great suggestions when you're looking to do a project. They are also quick to share the amazing deals that are going on too. For this particular visit, we went to get a new Christmas tree. And while folks went feral for trees, we had our eye on only one, and they didn't have any on the floor. This one gentlemen noticed that we were looking at it and came us to us to tell us they had one left and he's happy to grab it for us. And he did! We were in and out in 10 minutes while others were still fighting over trees. He also shared with us some of the other deals that were going on and next thing we knew we walked out with a cart and car full of things we didn't know we needed but were so fun we couldn't say no! Haha.”

“It has a moving walkway to get to the second floor as well as an elevator. Very friendly staff. Oh and they have a piano player on Friday. Garden center is packed with bedding plants and supplies for what you need in your garden.”

“I actually like menards a lot but only gave it four stars for one reason. Can you say sucky rebates. Not only are they a pain but in my experience I've had difficulty redeeming them. I'm still waiting for my 11% to arrive. They aren't small amounts as I've been purchasing lumber from them for my deck project. So when they get here maybe I'll change my rating to a five star rating. I'm hoping they come but I'm not holding my breath. Just saying!”

“I had a fantastic experience at the Home Depot in Gurnee. The store was well-organized and had a wide variety of products available. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, assisting me in finding exactly what I needed for my home improvement project. The checkout process was smooth and efficient. Even though I went into the self check out, the cashier was very helpful to scan all my items too! Overall, a great place to shop for all your home improvement needs.”

“I went in today to buy a few things for the house and I got great advice and I wound up buying all kinds of items I wanted . I relied on the expertise and experience of Carla in the pro department. She is fantastic. I will be coming back here only. I don’t need the other guys down the street. She is terrific and outstanding.thank you Carla!”

“Workers are very friendly and tentative to your needs. You can say that with all home depots. They carry the same structure and everything just seems to flow. Make sure you grab a new home depot pro member card. Saved me $100.”

“Kitchen and bath Counter tops look very nice. I would recommend Ralph Libertyville designer he was very nice and helpful. Installers not so great but one of the 2 guys who did install looked to be in training and scratched a cabinet by accident. Not Lowes fault.”

“I went in today looking for some paint for my basement floor and the lady who helped me was so personable. I think her name was Sofie. She explained the benefits of the different options I had and helped me figure out exactly how much paint I needed. You need more people like Sofie at every Home Depot. Hopefully she sees this and if she does thank you so much Sofie you made a confusing trip a fun and informative one.”

“We had HD install new carpet on the stairs down to our finished basement. We couldn’t be happier with every step of the process. Our salesman was very helpful in helping us make our selection. The time for our measurement and delivery/install were very reasonable and the two installers did a wonderful job - careful, clean and very friendly. We appreciated how they explained the difference between a waterfall installation and a Hollywood installation - something we had never heard of before, but opted for it and are glad we did. It all looks beautiful.”

“Had a great experience and excellent help from Sal. He was great and totally knew the product and explained a solution without fail. I can honestly say it was above and beyond any help I have received from a store in all my years. Sal should be recognized as the associate of the year. Great job. Thank you”
