Preiser Boarding and Training
2975 Milwaukee Ave, NorthbrookI used to work as a receptionist for a dog daycare, so I've had to talk to different vets all the time all over Chicago. Now, no longer a receptionist and I have my own puppy; Preiser was one of my top 3 to go to. I HIGHLY recommend, they have a wonderful staff and receptionists. The nurses are so kind, and treated my puppy with so much love. Like, I'm pretty sure my dog loves the vet now. They helped refer me to a specialist and helped me make sure she got the best care. Pricing wasn't terrible at all. The doctor called me personally to discuss my dog which I thought was really thoughtful. Also the lobby is so cute, and welcoming. Sometimes lobbies at vets can be rough, like they can smell, be dirty, have strange colors, and have uncomfortable chairs... but not here. It's so cute and cozy, the sun shines in, there are magazines, comfy sheets, and so much space if you have an uneasy or aggressive pet that needs space from other pets. Also I have to point out that all the plants have their own names it's adorable

Northbrook Animal Clinic
1743 Dundee Road, NorthbrookAbsolutely could not recommend this place more! The whole team is incredibly pleasant, welcoming and kind. From reception to techs to the vet team - everyone is so professional and awesome. They've helped me navigate my senior cat's health journey through CKD & hyperthyroidism and I never question whether she is in the best hands. They go above and beyond to be informative, thorough, & compassionate. I never have an issue getting an appointment, pricing seems too good to be true, they are quick with follow up, I could go on and on. 10/10 would recommend all day every day.
Katie has her best RBF on in this pic but she loves you guys so much!!!!!

Glencoe Animal Hospital
1820 Skokie Boulevard, NorthbrookI was apprehensive because prior annual visit at another vet office -Lincolnshire-was tramatic for my dog and myself. Here, the reception area was quiet, clean and the staff friendly and professional. Minimal wait. Vet tech Emily was fantastic. My dog can bark and be fearful of strangers but after a few minutes my dog was sitting on her lap. Dr Aldridge was calm, gentle, listened and advised. Exam done, blood drawn, nails trimmed and reasonable charges. Very happy :)

Doggie Do Rite Daycare, Inc.
1855 Techny Road, Northbrook10/10 would recommend! We've been bringing our dog Agnes to Doggie Do Rite for over a year now and she absolutely LOVES coming here. Everyone on the team here is amazing, and is always so friendly and helpful. You can tell they all genuinely care and enjoy spending time with all of the dogs there. Wolf's Lair K9
322 Huehl Road Suite 5, NorthbrookCarlos is great! My family has worked with him in the past and I had my first session with him a bit ago. My dog already has better leash manners! As long as you follow through and stay consistent with your dog, Carlos’ training will pay off big time. He is patient and anticipates both you and your dog’s needs. I don’t live in town but hope to have another session every time I visit home!

Christy's Canine Care
NorthbrookWhen Christy began walking my golden retriever, she became an important part of our lives. She knows dogs, their personalities and their tendencies: and she works with them (and their owners) in response to their needs. Gus is a gentle dog, but Christy also kept the expectations high for his on lease behavior. He walks beautifully and was always thrilled to hear Christy at our door. Christy is a caring and trustworthy person who relates to animals in a genuine and structured way.

ROOT Dog Training
2444 Greenview Road, NorthbrookCannot recommend enough! Did we get training? No because after taking 40 minutes of her time to talk to us, Jody told us we did not need it. Instead during the extremely generous phone call, she told us things we could do to help benefit our dog. She did suggest training right before having a baby though, so when we are at that point we will be giving her a call! Highly recommend for honest and well educated training! PS she came recommended by our vet who is a very straight forward and dog-loving man!

Also, I tried the dirty soda when they were having a free promotion and they were a good refreshing drink if you need a pickup in the afternoon. Come check out this location in a big shopping center with lots of other stores.

Landmark Inn
1352 Shermer Road, NorthbrookI usually wait a day or two before reviewing a place. But I have to say this place is doing it right ! Walked in on a Monday early evening, and surprisingly it was bumpin’. Ordered the throwback Cheeseburger, served with crisp light steak fries, and a classic dill pickle strip. Everyone was watching the Sox game, the dining room was busy and the outside patio is a great place to chill and watch the outdoor tv. Great spot for weeknight drinks and cozy evenings with friends and co-workers.
