Pet Care

Glenview Animal Hospital
2400 Waukegan Rd, GlenviewEveryone here from front desk to vet techs to doctors are wonderful. Our pooch received such compassionate excellent care for many many years. Dr Mateles is so caring, and very knowledgeable. She spent a great amount of time with our pooch at each visit. We were always able to get an appointment when we needed. When our pooch declined she told us the signs to watch for. Our family is very grateful for all the love and care we received from the entire staff. Our sweet doggie is now in heaven and we will see him again one day.

Pet Sitting & Training

Lincolnwood Dog Training Club
9510 W Central Rd, GlenviewThis is a hidden gem. Compassionate, expert, extremely high quality dog training at a fraction of the cost as other places. First it’s a non-profit and I feel like they do this because they care about the dogs. I reached out to them when I was at my wit’s end re: the dog I got as a puppy when COVID hit in March 2020, so no training at all. She is now 70 pounds as a 1-year-old and pulls, doesn’t respond to commands, pulls me down, not fully potty trained,... I needed immediate help and didn’t know if I should give her up. They had me come in right away and started helping me get control of the situation. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable, have been doing this a long time, and gave us solid advice that worked. The class times fit within my schedule and the classes are not overcrowded like you see at other places. The cost is right on the schedule on their website. Way cheaper than any other place. Very, very reasonable cost for classes. I can’t say anything better about this place.

Maru Sushi & Poke Bowl
1859 Waukegan Rd, GlenviewAsked to have a dinner packed for a concert to Ravinia. Tremendously pleased with what we received. A woman who introduced herself as Allison set us up with a dinner box that included edamame, soup, salad and two kinds of rolls. Everything was delicious, she packed us cutlery and all we needed, and the cost was about half of the bland Thai food we had last night. Great place. Great service.

Kyoto Garden Modern Japanese Restaurant
81 Waukegan Rd, GlenviewCan't say enough great things about Kyoto Garden! It was the first restaurant we visited after moving to Glenview last year and it's now the first place we suggest when guests visit us. The service has always been friendly and we're never left waiting long for food or drinks. The menu has plenty of options, even if you're not a fan of sushi! Also, the agedashi tofu app is 🤤
Thank you for quickly becoming our neighborhood favorite!!

Bourbon Kitchen & Tap
1400 N Milwaukee Ave, GlenviewTldr: dinner is a 5/5, breakfast is a 3/5
Ordered room service for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Everything came hot and everyone involved was very friendly and patient. Ordered the shrimp tacos, chicken quesadilla, and shrimp Cajun pasta. All of the entrees and shareables were good but the shrimp tacos was the room's personal favorite.
Breakfast was just okay. Got into the buffet around 20 minutes before closing but the hostess was still kind enough to squeeze us in. Food was hot, but the eggs were unseasoned and unnaturally textured. Fruit was good, but overall felt underwhelming compared to the dinner menu. We also never got our drink or water but didn't bother asking since we were just trying to get in and out anyway for a meal.

El Tradicional Mexican Restaurant and Cantina
1800 Tower Dr, GlenviewNew bar is awesome. We would go occasionally to the old location across the street and always sat at the bar and it was very good. The new bar is even better. Food tonight was outstanding as usual, had quesidillas, taco salad, and guac and chips. The first thing that comes to mind is fresh. Everything is fresh and tasty. The bartender Steve was great, he went through the tequilla list and recommended a great margarita. Great to have a dependable neighborhood place to eat and hang!

DAWG PARK Glenview
1839 Tower Dr, GlenviewGreat fast-casual spot with surprisingly massive vegetarian options!
I was a bit skeptical coming here since the theme is all about hot dogs and burgers, but DAWG PARK is incredibly vegetarian-friendly!They have a dedicated veggie section on the menu (the veggie popcorn chicken and crispy veggie tenders are great), but the real win is that you can substitute a veggie dog or veggie patty into almost any of their signature creations. I tried the Ninja Dawg with a veggie substitute (just make sure to ask for no bacon toppings!) and the Spicy Basil Vegetarian Burger. Both were packed with flavor and definitely not your boring, afterthought veggie options. The dog-themed ambiance is super fun and casual, and the food comes out in cute little metal dog bowls. If you have a dog, they even have a puppy menu so your pet can eat with you on the patio. Great service, quick turnaround, and plenty of options for plant-based eaters. Will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Almost any signature hot dog, burger, or rice bowl can be customized with a vegetarian substitute.Dietary restrictions: Clear menu labeling for vegetarian swaps. Just watch out for hidden meat toppings like bacon bits on the specialty dogs.

Starbucks Coffee Company
1895 Tower Dr, GlenviewIsaly, Ava, and Camille were the best tonight! Isaly is here most nights and always has a great attitude and very polite funny and kind!! She always remembers my name, that’s great service. Ava I can tell does a great job keeping everything clean, always cleaning. The store was spotless, amazing job Ava! Camille made the best drink for me. Latte was just right. Delicious! Love these ladies! Always a treat to be here when they work. Plus perfect area right in The Glen-beautiful, scenic, lots to shop and do. Go-to Starbucks.

Chinatown Kitchen
2200 Waukegan Rd, GlenviewThey made me shrimp with broccoli , even though it wasn't on the menu. I got fried rice and a Coke instead of the egg roll. I had it yesterday , and i'm on my way to go have it again. It seems mostly takeout , but I sat at one of the two tables , and they didn't rush me or pay any attention when I was reading my book! The shrimp were big and the broccoli was cooked to perfection , and I don't like broccoli but I eat it , because it's good for you
The fried rice was just meh. It's very , very dark and has none of the things that fried rice usually has like egg or peas or anything like that. It does have the chicken and plenty of it. The real star is the main dish.
