“Russo's is an excellent auto repair business. They thoroughly explain any proposed repairs for my car and never encourage me to add more replacements or repairs than my car needs. The prices are better than some of the brand name places that I have taken my cars to in the past. I have had my tires replaced, new brakes and new battery installed along with general maintenance and oil changes. I don't always get a person on the phone when I call, but someone has always returned my call within 24 hours. I love the fact that Russo's is an Oak Park family business and has been in the same location since the 1970s.”

The repair was done in under 40 minutes. I liked that they also checked air pressure in all tires without charging extra. Simple service but handled efficiently. Several times he has charged me nothing to look at a light or hook up a monitor for a quick analysis. Yes you will need an appointment to do anything major. No they are not cheap but they do stand behind their work.”

Even though half of that time I’ve lived places that are over 30-40 mins one way and it would be much more convienent (and cheaper with uber rides) I still refuse to go anywhere else. “Took my Prius here years back for a check-up and tune-up. Quick, thorough, friendly, honest, and reasonably priced.

Recently took my Equinox in for multiple issues. Steve called with updates, explained everything they did, listed what they think is necessary with prices and timelines, explained options when available as well as the reason behind the pricing, and waited for my permission before making any changes to my vehicle. No hidden costs, no nickel-and-diming.

Dealing with a transient issue with the heat system in the car, they even had me come back in for diagnostic and didn't charge me for anything they did while trying to figure it out, since they couldn't come to a full resolution. They ate the labour cost and cost for a spare part and some fluids in the process, and even referred me to another mechanic who specialises in the kind of work my car ended up needing.

I will happily recommend them to anyone in the area and as long as I live here they'll be my first choice.”

“My experience at this Firestone was excellent.

It was very early on a Sunday morning and they got my truck tire fixed very quickly. No other tire repair shops were open dispite their hours of operation saying that they were open.

Good customer service, the price was cheaper, and the service was much faster than Discount Tire for the same service.

I'll be back and highly recommend.”
