“Nice store. I needed gardening gloves and landscaping waste bags. They were very conveniently placed near the cashier. The gardening glove selection is limited, but I was able to find a pair that fit my hands, and contained a protective leather tip for the index finger. Great for digging around river rocks.
It’s a small store and the selection of product varieties is highly curated. But it’s my first stop to purchase items for my home’s hardware needs.”
“Ace is the place and this particular store is one of my go to spots for hardware and keys. I also bought my last Toro mower here. The only downside is when I had the mower serviced, there was not very good communication about how things were going. This might have been due to the place they send the mowers out to, but the manager recently told me she would personally get back to me and didn’t.”

He provided the necessary parts, assembled them so all I needed was to reinsert the part back into the sleeve and tighten. I was provided exceptional service and encourage anyone needing plumbing supplies to shop here.”
“I was truly impressed by Gus and the entire service department. They recently serviced my CMC 83 HD track lift. They performed a very thorough inspection and completed necessary repairs quickly and competently, and at reasonable expense. Communication was excellent throughout the process. “Awesome key duplicate service. I took a storm door key that other professionals did not accept, but they easily made me what I needed . Their key duplicates are highly recommended, they have a vast selection of designer keys which is great to make your keys easy to identify in a Keychain. This particular store always have staff members who are excellent in assisting you as soon as you enter the door.”

“I had such an exceptional experience at this Home Depot location that I felt compelled to share it.
After visiting multiple stores trying to find a plant that matched the aesthetic I needed for my office, I kept running into limitations and was honestly feeling discouraged. When I arrived at this location, I was greeted by Aidan, who immediately stood out for his kindness and willingness to help. He took the time to really listen to what I was trying to accomplish and genuinely cared about finding a solution.
Shortly after, the manager, Shi, stepped in — and together, they went above and beyond to make something work for me. What impressed me the most was not just that they helped, but how they helped: with positivity, creativity, and a true customer-first attitude that I hadn’t experienced at other locations.
Aidan personally assisted me every step of the way, and both him and Shi made me feel like my request truly mattered. Even when I had to come back with a small issue afterward, Shi handled it with the same level of professionalism and kindness, immediately resolving it without hesitation.
It’s rare to come across people who genuinely care about customer experience the way they do. Their attitude, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression on me.

“We’ve been ACE customers for sometime but today we feel we must say a loud “Thank you!” to two gentleman assistants at this store for a very special reason. Around midday today, I arrived at the store in search of some high temperature wire, nuts and tape to fix our water heater. Since our English is exactly perfect, we failed to get the right wire. Before we realized it, the assistants asked us more questions and found out that we needed wires that can stand really high temperatures which were not available at this store but should be at an auto parts shop such as AutoZone where we got what we really wanted. The two extremely friendly and attentive and helpful assistants essentially went out of their way to help us avoid what could become a hazard at our home. No words can express our gratitude to these two gentlemen who work at ACE for their helpfulness and care for customers. We will definitely shop more at ACE because of them.

“Contacted Holland Hardware for repair of a damaged dining chair. Because the dining table is pretty old (it was purchased used over 40 years ago) replacing it with a new chair would have required custom building at a high price. Holland was able to repair the split wood, install new dowels to replace the broken ones, and reattach the broken leg to proved a sturdy, solid dining chair.they did this in a timely fashion at a very reasonable cost. we are very pleased with the service.”
“Ebel's has been a staple hardware store in South Elmhurst for decades. Some things may be priced higher than your big warehouse type stores, but what I prefer about Ebel's is there is always an employee easy to find that will assist or direct you to your needs. This is a huge time saving bonus that I appreciate and will likely always pick them over the big warehouse businesses I like to avoid.”

“Since this store first opened they have come around full circle. Every project we have hired them to do for us has been spotless. There was a little miscommunication with the luxury flooring as far as them having it sitting when it was suppose to be delivered but that was all worked out and they got us moved up with their installers. We had GS Flooring which is their sub contractor for flooring they use. We had our bathrooms done years ago and now finally got the rest of our first floor completed and it absolutely looks fabulous!! The crew with GS Flooring was so fantastic!! Cannot honestly say enough about them! The guys worked hard and were completely done in 2 days with no messing around. We got the Lifesource Flooring which is Home Depot's exclusive brand. Looks fabulous! I'll post some after pics after everything is all cleaned up and back in place.”

Cynthia got the OK from store manager Marie Fox for a store credit. Awesome customer service! SPECIAL shout out to Gail, manning the return station, she did an exceptional job researching the purchase and closing out the return process.
