“I love coming to this market whenever we are in town. I called ahead to the meat manager to ensure he would have the frozen ground chicken, and he ensured me they would. When I arrived at the store the next day they did have it. I also purchased some grass-fed beef for $3.99 a pound, and what a fantastic price! I love their meat and produce! See you in 4 months when we are back.”
“The store is very spacious and clean. No clutter anywhere .. various produce selections , love the bread selections as well , pricing is very frugal and affordable for large families..
However usually only 1 cashier with a long line.”
“What a lovely place to find special gifts of art, local artists' cards to send, or small batch foods and candies. There are socks and tea towels, cider and cooking utensils, artisan made jewelry, beautiful ornaments, good smells, and good tastes. You'll find Happy Bob Ross and Neighborly Mr. Rogers items. “I love being able to run in a store and get what I need and quickly get out. Dollar general is my favorite quick store. They seemed to be stocked well even with shortages. The only thing that bothers me is when you know you only have like 15 minutes until they close but you know what you need and where to get it at and they suddenly have a different demeanour and they will shut the lights off Everytime even though they still have 10 minutes. I don't think they should be aloud to do that just for obvious reasons. Other than that.... It's my quick stop.”

“Love mt pleasant grocery. All the staff are very friendly and great people. They have pretty much anything you need and they deliver food to all of us who live out in the middle of nowhere where only door dash delivers to lol.”
“Helpful, and nice. I went in to I think they're called Asian crab bowls made fresh but they were all out. My kids and I love going here and getting their California spicy crunchy sushi and crab bowls on Wednesdays. That is when they have a sale on their sushi. Today I went in and showed my 16 year old daughter how to pay a bill at the customer service desk and they were very patient and nice!”

“I can't say much about the store but the Pharmacy is great. They do need more help but they are always spot on, never grouchy and help with any way they can. I have been to almost all pharmacy's in Muncie, Payless Tillotson outshines them all. I wish that they could get more help because everyone works their hind end off. Keep up the good work!!!!”
“I feel like Troy deserves a raise /promoted, he went out of his way last night to help me. I've been sick, my family has been sick & I was in need of food & treats for my pet. I feel all the employees deserve a promotion of some kind. When I'm able to go inside, they're always working hard either by stocking shelves, waiting on customers, and or cleaning. “I saw another customer today after four years away from this post on a separate account for my personal use of technology. And she seemed unhappy, I noticed. But I want to change my direction. So I invested in your services today, despite my misgivings about the way people appear around me. I see people of different ethnicities, socioeconomic, backgrounds, and housing arrangements that changed my opinion of Carol’s daughter. That’s a line of hair products that insured my job at the Dollar General store while I was working there. They were first to carry it before Walmart. And seen it again on the shelves at my store while I was working at the Dollar General store was a surprise. And I know now that it was a mistake to be my life off of marketing schemes and that Walmart is a great job of keeping that out-of-the-way. They avoid NFC payments to help young men and women keep their financials safe on their phones and other devices. Thank you, Walmart for putting it on your shelves so I could leave my job at the Dollar General store without imploding my entire career in technology.”
“I was pleasantly surprised by the staff at this store while shopping last week. The cashier was so helpful to the elderly man in front of me who was disabled. She helped him load his many purchases into his cart and had a fellow worker help him out to his vehicle. He was very limited in his mobility and this act of kindness really touched my heart. It feels good that some of our retail stores have staff that are willing to go that extra mile. It's definitely stayed with me.”

“I went for some household supplies and was able to get most of what was on my list. They were out of or didn't have a couple items on my list. I like shopping at DG because items are usually pretty fairly priced. I also buy food items at times when needed. I do miss these stores carrying clothes. I used to buy quite a bit of clothes at DG stores. They still have a few items but not like they used to have. I really don't understand why they did away with their bigger line of clothing as I know many people bought clothing items for the whole family there and it saved them and me as alot of us live on very limited budgets. And it was very affordable to buy clothes there. Alot of us would still prefer them having more clothes instead of more trivial items like more vases & wall art etc. Other than that I do like shopping at DG stores. Some stores tend to carry more items than others but you never know that till you shop there.”
“This particular Dollar General is in Franklin Indiana. My daughter likes to shop there as it gives her a chance to take a little drive plus she enjoys shopping in a smaller town where the store is not so busy and has less people shopping at the same time. So I rode with her to pick up a few things and it was a nice day and the store is clean and had the products we went for.”

“The Walmart Supercenter on the northside of Muncie is one of my favorites. I know the store well. Sometimes things are out of order, but the crowds that come to shop at this Walmart can be overwhelming. As a marketing tactic, they like to keep shoppers on their toes and seem to constantly have revolving items and new items and stands in the store. In my experience, the bathrooms have always been clean. And *most of the cashiers and customer-facing workers are very kind. Something that may help customers navigate the store would be to download the Walmart App. In it, you can search for anything you're looking for and it will name the exact isle it can be found on. Even when I'm shopping around Walmart, I have found myself assisting the customers by pulling up my app because they look like lost puppies.”

“Everyone hates yet likes walmart at the same time. Sometimes they have great deals and sometimes I'm better off at kroger or Aldi. Wish they would either have more check outs or self check outs open. It's a pain when only one or two lanes are open and half the self check outs are closed and there's a line with 10+ people in it when they are capable of opening either more self check outs(they are staffed) or at least more of the reg lines”
“I came here yesterday and forgot my card after I paid. I can’t remember the name of the employee but she put my card in the safe and when I went back tonight she remembered me and asked if I forgot my card yesterday so when I looked in my wallet, it wasn’t there. It’s in my wallet now!”
