“I actually really like Menards. I can't say they have everything, but darn near. And, their book selection is actually pretty impressive for a home improvement store. I also LOVE the fact that they offer the 11% rebate A LOT of the time now. Their employees are always pleasant and helpful when I need assistance and the store is typically clean.”

“Great experience with Waukee Hardware & Rent-It Center. Home Depot was out of aerators, but they had one available right away and at a better price. Staff was helpful and made the process easy. Highly recommend!”

“I needed another gallon of ‘Ready Seal’ stain and protector- color “Natural 105” to finish my deck. I ran out. I saw online that your location had several in stock. Drove there and was shown where they were in the store. Just like your website said. Saved the day for me. This is a VERY important service to have right on your website. Stores like Lowe’s NEVER have what they advertise online, and their employees always say “Yea, you can’t go by what you see on the website.” Just another reason I trust ACE Hardware. Highly recommend. Thanks!”

“Great experience today. Took my puppy. The manager was warm and welcoming. The manager went above and beyond. She was wonderful at customer service and my puppy. My puppy loves the store but got too excited. The staff was very helpful. Again the manager was amazing. She is a great person.”

“Excellent service on my power washer. The service manager beyond expectations to find parts and repair my power washer. I definitely am now going to be a loyal Northern Tool customer if for no other reason than the service I received.”

“I can't thank you all enough for helping me with surprising my fiance for Christmas! BEST customer service ever! (He's no longer annoyed 🤣)”

“I recently placed an online order with a tight window for use to finish up a project. I emailed and asked what day it would be set to arrive, and not only did they go out of their way to make sure it was in time, they paid for the additional cost at no charge to me. 10/10 customer service, and absolutely will be shopping here again. That kind of service is hard to find!”
3020 SW Oralabor Rd, Ankeny IA 50023
“Well stocked, well organized and clean store with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our capacitor in our furnace failed on a Saturday afternoon and it was only 20 degrees outside. I looked online and Ace hardware was the only store in town with the part in stock. I drove across town and this was my first time in the store. The price was extremely fair and I will be back often.”

“I will choose Miller’s over the big box store, even if it means I have to go out of my way to get there. Service and knowledge is second to none and it’s locally owned.”
2727 Beaver Ave, Des Moines IA 50310
“Great local hardware shop. They typically have what I need and their rewards program helps them stay competitive with Walmart and Amazon. Plus it's way more convenient then trying to find something in the bigger hardware/ home improvement stores.”

“Amazing staff! From the time you walk thru the door you are greeted by welcoming and helpful folks. From basic grill supplies to needing to know the pitch/size of a bolt I need they are always willing to help.”

“Always super friendly and helpful! Last night I had a plumbing issue. I called 5 minutes prior to closing and they confirmed they would stay open for me to get there. Just amazing service!! I think his name was Seth, who was actually outside waiting for me to pull up and walked me back to the plumbing section and another employee help us find exactly what I needed!”

“Highly recommend this particular Ace Hardware. Graham was who helped me Monday night with a new mower. Customer service here is excellent, everyone is always willing to help get me going in the right direction from painting to lawn care.”

“I love Johnston ACE Hardware. Their small engine repair shop is excellent. I have my lawn mower and snow blower tuned up here every year. Zach is great to work with for pick-up and delivery and overall customer service. He’s very knowledgeable . One time I couldn’t get my Stihl chain saw started and the gentleman in the back worked on it until it started - all while I was standing there because I needed to use it sooner than later. I also had a couple of screens in my screen doors replaced. Excellent work on those. Every time I walk in the store someone is there to greet me and asks if I need help finding anything. Of course I do! It’s nice to have someone take me right to it rather than wasting my time looking all over the store. One time I broke a specialized screw on an old piece of equipment and Johnston ACE Hardware couldn’t find an exact replacement but was able to come up with something that worked even better than the old one. I seriously can’t say enough good things about this place.”

“Randy in the door section was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient as we bounced between different ideas! Quality and price are both important but customer service is what will bring us back!”

“One of the best, if not the very best, home improvement and hardware store that I habe ever been to. Very neat, well organized, and friendly and knowledgable staff!”

“One of the employees, maybe the owner helped me find the parts and tools I needed so fast that I was able to make it into the office even earlier than I do on a normal day.I really appreciated that I can buy single washers for 10 to 15 cents a piece rather than spending $5 or $6 on a bag at a big box hardware store and getting way more than I need that I'll probably never be able to find again if I would actually need them again.”
3700 University Ave, West Des Moines IA 50266
“Needed some rough cuts done on a piece of plywood. I've been used to being disappointed by my service but not this time. Walter, absolutely knocked it out of the park. Was precise and helpful. Could not recommend this Home Depot enough.”
10850 Plum Dr, Urbandale IA 50322
“Received a damaged product. Didn’t ask for or pay for assembly but it came assembled. Obviously a floor model. Their solution was I bring it back to get a new one (had it delivered) or wait another week as the only option for them to deliver a new one. No other options. Update: They have made this right and have expedited a replacement and return. Solid customer service!”
450 S Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines IA 50266
“Amazing service, military discount and gave our service dog treats...after asking of course. Except for the inept appliance associate who suggested i buy a vaccume cleaner.”

“I went to Lowe’s today to buy a new toilet and had such a great experience with Scott who helped Me. He knew the products, was very good at giving me information that my son the installer would Need and he did it all with such enthusiasm, knowledge and patience with me. Then he helped me With a problem I was having with getting a repair man for my Refrigerator. We just took a few minutes at the end of our business for a chat too. I left the store smiling, feeling more positive Than when I started my day. I can’t Thank him enough for his time and help. He was super and even let me tease him about his cap!! What a great guy and wonderful employee. He gets a 10 from me. Lowe’s is so lucky to have him.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
