“The room was spotless, comfortable bed and pillows. Service excellent from check in to check out! Bistro server super friendly and attentive! New carpet in room and hallways and the courtyard a nice area to enjoy fresh air and sunshine! Also love no pet hair or barking dogs, sorry you animal lovers. “Saw Patricia Holly Live here for her CD release party and WOW! First of all if you are Gluten-free this is the place for you! I had so many options for drinks and one in tap! I was sooo impressed! The bathrooms are amazing, I love the sinks on the outside. The sound sound system, A/V, and Lightening was so nice! I was super impressed with the space and the staff is sooo friendly! Highly recommend! Looking forward to coming back!”
“It is nice for the little I saw of it. Went to sing-a-long. Just the parking is blah for a place like that... Maybe because I'm used to having parking lots for places that hold events like that. No cell reception but they have wifi access available.”
“Such a great venue. Room for an outside wedding on what I think was the last nice day of the year, then inside for the dinner & reception. The patio area was perfect for a few drinks & chatting. Plenty of room, very clean windows & everything seemed to be well kept, nothing appeared worn down or overly used. Seemed to have everything needed for a lovely wedding.”

“Went here to see 'Who's Live' and had great seats. This smaller venue gives good seats to pretty much everyone. We sat a few rows in on the balcony and could see the stage very clearly. When they had an audio issue, we could still hear the actors. The location and access to the woman's bathroom was a little annoying but workable. The temperature of the building was a little high but acceptable. Overall, a good experience.#OwlsTweet #BirdLife #worldtraveler #traveler @MeetMrOwl”
“We hosted our company holiday party at the Mansion in January and it was decorated for Christmas which was beautiful. The staff did a nice job with the set-up. We ordered the buffet and there were differing opinions, some thought it was good and others thought the food had no flavor. We had a cash bar and the drinks were expensive, $24 for two small glasses of wine. The staff was friendly and overall it was a good experience.”

“I live in Minnesota but have visited Suite Dreams in Iowa on several occasions to buy my big ticket baby items. Being an expecting mom, these purchases can be so overwhelming and I so appreciated the knowledge of those who work at Suite Dreams in helping me to navigate the pros and cons of all those baby necessities. Customer service is amazing! Big box stores or Amazon may have more inventory, but they don't have the expertise and advice that Suite Dreams offers. I HIGHLY recommend shopping for everything baby at Suite Dreams!”
“Beautiful venue for my son's wedding and just the right size for their guest list under 100. Great view of the lake from the patio. Kitchen has a huge frig/freezer for storage of food, but the space is not meant for any food prep or cleanup. Just a small sink for washing your hands. Very friendly morning staff, showed my granddaughter their education room with live animals.”
“Renting through here was the best choice for us. Looking around I was finding outrageous prices to rent a portable bar and an arch, but one message to them was all we needed. We were able to get both and stay under our budget. The items are good quality and super easy pick up and drop off. Will definitely be going through them again for any parties we host in the future.”

“Freshly remodeled, clean rooms and friendly staff. Good location. The GM Conner is always the best, always there to take care of his guests.
Rooms: The rooms are newly renovated. So it is bright and fresh and has that new smell still.
Nearby activities: Close to I35 and I80. Just located off Jordan Creek. Which has many things to do or places to eat.
Safety: I do stay for extended time periods over the whole summer. I've felt uncomfortable with the other guests or the area.
Food & drinks: Included social hour M,T, and Wednesday evening. Which Includes a snack or a meal and some tasty beverages.”

The whole experience was very nice and better than any we've been in before.
Setup was different than we're used to as well. Seems like nicely streamlined too.”
“Great community asset featuring one of the largest performance venues in Iowa. As well as several smaller Auditorium, event venue, gymnasiums, and meeting spaces. The Franklin Center former Jr High is home now for dance performances, boxing, cultural events, concerts, community food drives, political debates, worship services, weddings, esports competitions, theatrical performances, private education, and much more! In need of some TLC but great value and amazing neighborhood community center.”
“Amenity-forward, dog friendly hotel conveniently located near the highway. Area seems to be newer buildings, and the hotel seems to be part of that trend. Staff was nice enough when I interacted with them, though seemed inconvenienced by me wanting a physical key in addition to the mobile. Lobby area is beautiful, big and bright, so good first impression walking in.The not made-to-order breakfast items and coffee were room temp if not cold. Kind of disappointing, since the cooked item wasn't something I wanted on this particular morning.The room was spacious and new feeling. Shower seems to have been an afterthought from such a nice room design. Hope it isn't windy when you're staying, because while it's nice to have an opening window they aren't sealed properly and you'll have a whistling noise all night. On a cold night and morning, this also made it colder than the heater could keep up with. I'm also not sure why, but there was a smell of cat pee randomly in the bathroom and by the bed I didn't use (thank goodness).I booked a king room and ended up in a double queen. Not too big of a deal since I'm driving from Texas to Chicago and just wanted a good sleep and to do my work before my final leg, but if I were staying more than a night I would have said something since I specifically chose that bigger bed via direct booking in my Bonvoy app. I probably would stay again if just passing through, but not an extended stay of any kind especially if windy.”
“Good place, and very clean! For the price, I expected half as nice. But I got a comfy bed, decent kitchen, and great bathroom too! Everything seems quite new, and they’re friendly.
Edit: There’s a dishwasher, people. Who TF is giving only three stars to a place that’s clean, right next to the interstate, AND has a dishwasher?”

“We were very pleased with our recent stay here. The staff was extremely nice from the lobby to the brunch, everyone had a hospitality first mindset. It was rather pricey for the room, but it could have been a busier time in the area. Everything was very clean.One slight drawback, I didn't realize until after I booked that the cost of a pet was $40, which seems a bit high. I probably would have made a different choice had I known that.”
“Nice place. Clean. It does need some additional maintenance. Such as the bathtub faucet drips all of the time in my room, and there was no way to turn the heat on in the room. The thermostat set the minimum temp for the air-conditioned. It was in the 50s outside, and just as cold in the room - brrrr. Great staff and a convenient location.”
“Our baseball team stayed at the Marriott West Des Moines this past weekend, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The front desk staff—especially the manager—were incredibly attentive and welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The hotel itself was very clean, and housekeeping did a great job throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to accommodate our group’s needs, and we truly appreciated the hospitality. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other teams or travelers in the area!”

“Outstanding venue! The management and team are incredible!
These are difficult shows to produce with many items out of their control.
I did have an issue prior to the show and the manger of the facility helped solve my problem and made the experience outstanding. Every team member was in a great mood and ready to help - rare to find such service.
Sound was excellent. Temperature was perfect (despite a 100 degree day). Beverage and restroom access were moving as would be expected for a large crowd. What else can you ask for?!
I highly recommend Horizon for any concert.”
