“Today I Stopped at Crowley Repair in Monticello to have them make a new hydraulic hose for a log splitter. Tony from Dubuque Hose was there. The fittings on the hose I needed was an odd thread on the couplings.Tony offered and did drive to my place outside of Anamosa to pick up the connecting couplings off the splitter. He's taking them so he can change them out to a more standard hose fitting.

“Typically receive trucks 5-6 days overnight or early morning before the store opens. All Menards carry hardware, electrical items, and plumbing and building materials. If you need a furnace filter or a/c filter, they have them. Menards in Dubuque has them, including some grocery. They don't have meat, but snacks, soups, cereal and more including pet food and toys; a large lawn and garden department. If you need a new refrigerator or patio furniture, Menards is the place to go.”

“Had the pleasure of working with Sarah today. Not only did she fill my tanks efficiency but with a smile. They do have a new policy to arrive by 3:30 to fill, so be aware. There was a disgruntled customer behind me who wasn't allowed to leave his semen straws in the tank, which makes sense. So get a second tank if that's what you're after! Will be back!”

“I have to admit I was a little baffled by my weed wacker line feeding mechanism. However, Kolby knew all about it. Even though he could have sold me a complete replacement cartridge, he showed me how to load it and keep the same cartridge, saving me 40 bucks and more importantly teaching me how to do it. What a great kid!”

Still I'm happy with what I was able to get--a higher model. I really appreciate two things available at Lowes. 1. The My Lowes card (a key ring card) keeps track of purchases making returns easy if you've lost your receipt. 2. Veterans get a 10% discount on purchases, though sale items, like my 2 appliances which were on sale, may not qualify because they are at "the lowest sale price" available. Recommend.”
