“Kayla at Shaggy To Chic is a miracle worker! We have a Bernese Mountain dog who is always shaggy and sometimes matted even though we do our best. She goes in looking like a beast and comes out looking like a beauty. Everyone there is very friendly and I can’t say enough about Kayla’s skills. We would not go anywhere else! Highly recommended.”
“Currently working on a fishless cycle and the guy working (owner? Not sure) was very helpful and knowledgeable, they'll definitely be my go-to when it's time to add critters.
The tanks are always well tended, no visibly sick or floating dead fish like so many other places have in town.
The cats in the back corner are so loved and spoiled.
Even their noisy, naughty bird seems content and loved. 🩷

“The staff were so enthusiastic about pets and went nuts over our boy, whose birthday was tomorrow. They were so sweet in giving him pets and a sample and answered all our questions! They helped us pick out a few treats from the snack bar and a toy or two for our boy! We’re definitely stopping by again when we visit Des Moines- this place has everything for a happy pet and their humans!”

“My cat got her nails trimmed and got claw caps put on for the first time here, and it was a wonderful experience. It was much cheaper than anticipated, about $20 for front paws only and $25 for front and back. The groomer did a wonderful job with my kitty, I couldn't hear any sort of protesting from my cat throughout the experience. It was also surprisingly quick! It only took about ten minutes, and I spent that time browsing for gourmet cat treats!”

“I just had a wonderful interaction with who I assume is the manager of this petsmart location. You can tell she really loves her job and helping customers. My cat was recently diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and she expressed that she had a cat who sadly passed with the same diagnosis and told me that she had the same issues I had. She was very helpful In finding different options for my picky easter and overall a pleasure to talk to. Im really glad she was working today to help me!”

“We took puppy training sessions from Lisa D at the Clive location. Lisa is wondering & very knowledgeable about dogs. She gave us lots of training tips & advised us for other services at PetSmart. Our puppy is now very well behaved & knows his commands. Lisa is awesome & made our experience so much fun as well.”
