“I Just want to say how I went to this store for a while now and it hasn’t always been the best service but recently over the last couple weeks the service has gotten a lot better. I don’t know if a women by the name of Lilly is a new hire or not but she was delightful . We talked and she helped me get in and out in a timely and efficient manner which is hard to come by these days. She was very polite and didn’t seem bothered to help when I asked questions. 10/10 service.”

“KC Locals Printing saved me for a baby shower! My original printer lost my poster the morning of the baby shower. Desperate and scared since it was 9:30am on a Saturday I did a quick Google search I found KC Locals Printing. I called on my way up to KC and explained my situation. She not only printed and delivered but she gave me an extra poster no charge. I highly recommend for her great customer service and the poster printed and was amazing quality!”

Both people that helped me were friendly and went well above and beyond; especially for what little $ they made on my small purchase. I had trouble with formatting & they got it worked out. They also directed me to the nearest post office and gave me some extra advice for completing my task. It was greatly appreciated! Even though it’s a drive for me, I would consider them for bigger printing needs in the future.”

“Several months ago, we were faced with the passing of two family members. At a loss for where to print the funeral bulletins, I asked for a recommendation from a friend who was the former owner of Crick Camera. He gave a VERY high recommendation to Almar Printing, so there was no reason to get comparative bids elsewhere! Shelby Burris was our first contact and she offered several good options. Once the order of worship was prepared, we dropped off our original with owner Steve Gromowsky, who got them printed in a timely manner. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the printing and expeditious delivery of the bulletins!”

“I've been a fan of Hammerpress since they opened their first print shop in the Crossroads, way back in the early aughts. As a college student I'd look forward to an excuse to trek to KCMO from Lawrence to shop here and pick up some local goodies. They've been doing this so long, you could probably even make an argument that they were kind of the original shop local spot here in the city. Flash forward and Hammerpress has migrated from their OG location to further down SW BLVD, and now to this new spot in the heart of the West Bottoms. It had been a while since I visited so I wasn't sure where they had moved to, but it seems fitting that they'd end up in the West Bottoms as many of the artists that once had studios in the Crossroads have migrated that direction as well, and it seems true to both their craft as printers, and their vibe as artists to be in yet another cool, up and coming, hip neighborhood. All of this being said, this new spot is by far their coolest. From the arched entryway, to the bright interior, you're going to find everything you've come to expect from Hammerpress. Beautiful art prints? Check! Locally made greeting cards? Check! other stationary and art goodies? check and check! Next time you need a card go check them out - you won't regret it!”

“I'm really struggling with why this place has such bad reviews. I've been here a number of times now to print signage for events, and also to pick up pre-ordered items created off of canva. Regardless of what I am here for, I've found the employees to be super friendly, the space to be pretty laid back and easy to navigate, and most importantly it's always a fast trip. I think the longest I've been there is maybe 7 minutes? And that's just because someone was retrieving my order and there was a very short line. Even the self service email to print function works pretty well here. Overall, I don't dread dropping by this location as I know I'll be able to get in and out pretty fast and leave with a quality product. Also - if you do the canva option to create on canva and have it printed at FedEx it's crazy fast. like less than one day. Such an amazing thing that helps me out all the time.”

“WOW! Any good photographer knows that a great shot can be ruined by a poor print job. I used to send my work out of country to get the quality I wanted. But lately, I've been disappointed with the quality of the prints and it takes forever to get delivery.Then I was introduced to LARGE PRINTING who produces great prints at an affordable price and best of all....they are just down the street on Troost.I got great professional advice on what would create the best look and the turn around time was incredible.I will be taking all my future art prints to them.”

There are times our business had things pop up that we needed signage for "In a Hurry" and I could rely on 2 Friends Printing to say YES!And to have one of the owners personally deliver the work - makes you fell pretty good - because you know they stand behind their work if he's able to show you the completed job upon delivery.One less thing to worry about when running a business.
