13964 Santa Fe Trail Dr, LenexaTruly wonderful groomers! I have had difficulty in the past finding a groomer that knows how to properly groom Rough Collies but these gals know what they're doing. What really makes them stand out is that they DO NOT just shave out mats in a dog's fur. They have special tools and take the time to gradually work the mats out--and my Collie did have some behind his ears that I thought that would be impossible to do but I was wrong lol. They really do care about your dog and the health of their coats. When I picked him up, she gave good pointers for me to better maintain his coat and for all the work she did on him, the price was very reasonable. The next couple of days after he was groomed here, his behavior even improved: he was acting extra happy and VERY sweet towards me almost like he was telling me and the ladies that worked on him, 'thank you!' He is also barely shedding around the house so it's been nice to get a slight break from that lol. I'm so glad I was able to get him in here, and plan on being a permanent customer from now on.

Country Hill Animal Clinic
15535 W 87th St Pkwy, LenexaI recently decided to start using Country Hill AC after having a good experience here with my partner's dog, and noticing how affordable the care is. This morning, a health scare popped up for my dogs, and they made us our first appointment for just a few hours later. Everyone we interacted with was so nice and helpful, and aware of each of my dogs' individual needs.
One of my boys can be nervous and is sometimes very mistrusting of new people. But one thing he loves more than anything is to play tug-of-war, so I always bring a rope toy wherever we go, as it really helps him manage stress. Dr. Amber Andrews actually got on the floor and played tug with him! It was so sweet and it showed my dog that she was his friend. He totally trusted her & the team after that. I have NEVER seen him as comfortable in a vet environment as he was today.
Overall we had a great experience. I had all my questions answered and was given a clear, easy treatment plan. Did not break the bank, and I felt extremely comfortable with the team handling my beloved dogs. Will definitely continue coming here, and I have already recommended Country Hill AC to friends.

My husband and I just got back from a 17 day vacation and we needed to board our cat because he needs medicine twice a day and someone to watch over him because of his heart condition. We have never had him stay at an overnight clinic and we’re very nervous (I cried when we dropped him off). They were so reassuring and sent picture and text updates about our scared little guy. You could tell they really cared about him during his stay. Will definitely use them if needed in the future❤️

Once she gave me the green light, I contacted Melody with Pet Connection and told her what I was looking for...an older, low key and very affectionate Cat, to also give a loving home. I flew back to K.C. for a meet/greet, and when Mom met Melody's pick, Layla, it was love at first sight for both of them! Layla was 12 and an awesome cat! They were inseparable best buddies until my Mom passed at 101. I will forever be grateful to Melody and Pet Connection for selecting the perfect match for my Mom, and bringing her such joy during her final years ❤️.

Each person we’ve met here has been kind and patient with us, and very obviously loves animals! Special shout out to Phoebe, who has especially guided me through the process and who my puppy loves so much he has to drop to her lap for cuddles immediately upon sight! Frisco has a great time playing here while I work!

My tea latte and my friend's decaf coffee latte were both excellent. They had lots of fun seasonal flavors, and were accommodating when we asked for lower-caffeinated options. This is not the place to go if you're a snob about your coffee being made with the exact right temperature etc, but more a fun-coffee spot to try interesting flavors and enjoy it sweet.

12815 W 87th St Pkwy, LenexaHonestly used to avoid this place because Messenger coffee had a real weird flavor for a bit. That seems to be all in the past now though! I'll actually buy bags of their beans for pour over from here.
I usually only pop in and get a beverage/snack to go. It's one of those almost always busy places. So, if you like crowded noisy coffee shops with tons of options and seating you will love this place.
I dig the seasonal specials. It's what keeps us coming back here in particular. They always have about 4-6ish options and a mix of hot/cold. There are some constant flavored coffee (lattes etc)on the menu as well.
It's a bakery too! There is always a wide variety of items to purchase. If you want a bread of some kind you will want to get there earlier than later. I've yet to dive into their food menu, but I've eyeballed peoples plates, someday I'll try it. They also have a pizza night/day.
Highly recommend checking the website before visiting to know all the things! It's kind of an overwhelming place if you haven't been there before. Also a crazy busy parking lot. We don't bother to try to park in front of it, we'll come in off rosehill.

Our waitress, Catherine, went above and beyond to help us choose menu items that perfectly matched our tastes. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made our experience even better. What impressed us even more was noticing that the other waitstaff were just as polite, attentive, and informative with their tables.
It's clear this restaurant takes pride in providing an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. We will definitely be back! Two thumbs up and highly recommended!

12800 Santa Fe Trail Dr, LenexaI made one of the hardest decisions of my life today— to surrender my cat that I have loved caring for and learned a lot from over the past 4 years. She was there for me during the toughest season of my life, providing unconditional love and comfort. That is the beauty of animals.. they don’t know what you’ve done, mistakes you’ve made, but are there for you regardless. Recently, I got news of a huge life change that is out of my control. One that my cat unfortunately cannot be a part of. Against every fiber in my being, I decided to do what's best for her and decided to re-home her. After scouring for connections and loving homes to surrender her to so that I would still be able to check in and keep up with her, none were available. As a last resort, I contacted Kitty City. They found a foster home sooner than I expected and asked me to take her in today, which I did. I was hoping to have a pleasant interaction, making a situation that no one wants to be in, a lighter and more reassuring one.
This shelter is amazing with cats, they truly care for them and I feel that. So I was confident in surrendering her back there. With that, I was truly disappointed and discouraged by the interaction I had with the staff today. By no means do I intend to harp on them for the way they handled the situation, for I know there are many different reasons why people respond the way they do/ say the things they say. All I intend by this review is to hopefully encourage others to think the best of people. You never know what their situation is or what they’re going through. Kindness, positivity, and understanding go a long way.
If by some chance the foster family of Zara (formerly Mew 2- not sure what they will have her go by) or the potential adopting family sees this, please know that she is a wonderful pet. It has been a joy to be her safe place over these years. She is truly the sweetest, most lovable cat ever. She genuinely cares for whomever she’s around, loving whomever she can. Please take good care of her! I know Kitty City will do a great job in placing her in a well-fit family.
