“Hupp Hardware is a solid local hardware store with a wide selection of tools, home improvement supplies, and everyday essentials. The staff is generally helpful and knowledgeable, and they’re willing to point you in the right direction if you’re not sure what you need. Prices are fair for a local shop, and it’s convenient not having to drive far for basic hardware items. The store is well organized, making it easy to find most products quickly. The only downside is that some specialty items can be limited in stock compared to larger chain stores, so you might need to order certain things in advance. Overall, it’s a reliable and convenient place for both quick fixes and bigger home projects. Definitely worth visiting.”

“Every single staff member that we worked with -in person or on the phone-provided us with excellent service. They listened to our explanation of what we were looking for, gave us helpful hints & suggestions and were available to us through the process from my initial steps into their store to the completion of the installation. And, the selection of carpeting was amazing. We are very pleased with our new 2 bedrooms of carpeting. Thank you !”

“This place has changed so much over the years. And this is the first time I've been back in three years , and it was very well organized and not as dingy as it used to be. Management has done a great job! The guys out in the yard were very helpful also 👌”

“Ive been going to Harbor freight for years just found out about this store last night from the Woodlawn store. I will for sure be going to the Maize rd store from now on. Both employees working this morning were very polite, professional and helpful which is getting to be rare at the woodlawn store. Maize store was very clean and well organized. All the shelfs were full and clean. Store all around is the best looking store in Wichita!”

“I bought my first commercial pressure washer unit from these guys about two months ago. My crew caused an issue early on and they were very great to work with on the repair and the training for the crew to not repeat the same mistakes. They also helped me out on a project where I did not have water for an exterior pressure wash and they came up with a creative solution for me to get this done with one of their portable water tanks.”

“Took a propane tank from my 2001 Weber Performer grill in to have refilled. I moved here 7 years ago and have had many places tell me they are unable to fill these particular tanks. Was having to drive to a place way north that was almost in Park City. Very convenient to have this place so close to home. The two gentlemen working today were very friendly. I highly recommend.”

“This is a great little neighborhood hardware store jam packed with stuff. Found exactly what I needed, some oaint stripper. A wonder man spent about 1/2 hr with me helping me decide among 3 or 4 different types. Definately will be back!!!”

“I need something called an escutcheon plate. It's a doodad for covering up extra holes when you change the faucet on your sink. Unfortunately, they didn't have one here that would work for me. Though that's not their fault - even the big box store I checked later didn't have one in stock either. The store is tidy, it is organized and the gent who asked me if I needed any help was polite. I'd definitely return when more stuff for my project.”

“We have bought many bricks and stones from ACME. I LOVE that store and their employees. They helped me lay out my firepit. Then I had an idea for a barnboard fireplace with stone and stone hearth. They were a huge help in designing it and helping me pick out the stones. IT IS BEAUTIFUL! Thank you.”

“It's a small store in a big parking lot mall. I didn't think it was going to be too much. But Gerardo helped me very well. The first time I came through with the part that I needed and telling me how I would be able to go about replacing something or returning something very easily. If I needed to and didn't mind me asking questions and was very helpful. The entire time and when I came back to return the item I bought, because things that I bought weren't the right size, and I needed to get new things. Pam helped me out and was able to tell me Gerardo's name. So that I was able to make sure everybody knew that these two people were extremely helpful and made my visit to harbor freight on september fifteenth, the best experience i've had in an auto part. Store in a while”

“You are in and out a lot quicker than going to a big giant hardware place and you can find staff to answer questions immediately. Whereas at the big giant places, you're lucky if you can find anyone to ask a question”

“A lot packed into a small footprint. Garden supplies, tools, paint, hardware. Out of everything the crowning jewell is the row of nuts, bolts, odd fasteners and honestly a selection that beats larger footprint competitors. Store is on a corner, parking is simple, staff is friendly and selection is above what I expected. Can't find a negative thing about the place ...seems to be an ACE hardware standard..”
8829 West Central Avenue, Wichita KS 67212
“Was looking for something specific, staff were helpful in searching for the item. Overall nice well stocked hardware store. Disappointed they don't have much in the way of gifts as some Ace's do.”

“Why does the girl at the checkout counter sing at the top of her lungs, IN MY FACE!!?? It's rude! And makes me very uncomfortable. I have seen reactions from other people. We just smile and say, "Oh well." But it does seem like a poor business practice. I'm speaking of 13th St. Ace Hardware, Wichita, KS.”

“CHRISTOPHER at this location it rude & sucks don’t recommend talking to him !! Tim and Eli in receiving are so helpful & nice ….for my flatbeds they have overnight parking on the side on the building follow delivery sign….open around 6:30am & finish receiving around 4-4:30ish . Give Eli a heads up for which he is PM receiver but don’t talk to Christopher he’ll lie about the times to drivers and is rude !”
