“I can't believe my doctor told me about this business. I almost decided not to go, but I decided that it would be okay to look. I am happy I did. The man who assisted me was really knowledgable and helpful. I gained more knowledge about my own feet and the ideal shoe fit in 15 minutes than I knew in 43 years of walking in my own shoes, they took a digital scan, and within minutes I was fitted. Even though I have a size 15 foot and am a big man, I'm used to just barely getting by with things that never quite fit right. I bought a new pair of shoes from this shop, and they stayed on my feet. I never imagined I'd find something this wonderful, but the comfort and fit were excellent. I went into the store not expecting they would have anything for me and left a customer for life.”

This is when I asked Anna, an employee at Hemline Lafayette, to come watch. She came over in some bright Nikes and a vintage, Def Leppard shirt bought from Hemline. I knew it was one of her many Hemline outfits, and I don't have an eye for fashion, so I didn't point it out. “Most importantly: DO NOT BUY A PAIR OF RED WINGS WITHOUT GOING IN AND BEING SIZED AND TRYING THEM ON! I regularly wear a 10-10.5 and my red wings are an 8.5 wide and a perfect fit!!On to the store review: I had a good experience here, and the boots are great! My only complaint here is lack of inventory. The Baton Rouge store seems to have much more in stock. I would have been back to buy a few pairs already if they had stock of them. Red wing sizing makes it too difficult to order a pair and be bound to something that has a wait time and may not fit properly.”

“By far the best shoe store in Lafayette. If you have hard to fit feet go see her. I have some of the most narrow long feet ever and she knows exactly what will fit. She has something for everyone and the quality is beyond superb. Only disappoint is that I haven’t found this gem sooner! Customer service was amazing and I felt like I had made a friend with the owner by the time I left. I will be back!”

“This has long been my favorite store for what I call trendy active shoe ware. What I mean by that is that they have an awesome selection of causal shoes. They are not the best for running shoes and I wouldn't go there for wingtips for pairing up with a suit, but if you want Brands like Vans, Polo, Roxy, Fila, Adidas, KSwiss, Clarks, Dr. Martins and more, this is your place. To me, they have a great variety to pair up shorts/jeans to give a trendy casual look. The only downside is that some of the salespeople are inexperienced and it can be can be frustrating at time having a 17 year old tell me how shoes should fit, lol. Enjoy!”
