85 Baribeau Dr, BrunswickDr. Norman is incredible! He is exemplary in the way he inspects and accesses your animal— top to bottom— regardless of what brings your pet to the vet. He often mentions things that you would not have thought of, or comments on aspects of your animal’s health to look out for, along with addressing any health concerns that brought them to the clinic in the first place. He is incredibly thorough and has a fabulous connection with animals. The front of house staff are wonderful and professional, managing multi-tasking beautifully, as the clinic is always busy. The pharmacy, although often also very busy, does a great job in getting medications filled as quickly as possible. The space itself is very clean. We have an aging dog and two cats and have been very grateful for the care they have received here.

85 Baribeau Dr, BrunswickI have taken both beginning and intermediate obedience classes with Sara, one with each of my Scottish Deerhounds. I can attest that these are, without a doubt, the most organized, thoughtful and wonderful classes - and this from a 50-year handler and trainer. I learned (and re-learned) many key facets of reward, teaching methodology, follow-through and real-life exposure and practice. I particularly love that Sara's emphasis is on the other end of the leash (a great book, BTW), and in the relationship between the dog and the handler - having the dog have fun and be relaxed, and not focusing on strict "obedience" as you would drill for in competition. She provided videos for dog body language, handouts for each week of classes, and a video of your class to review. I have printed out all of these, and the additional materials (readings, charts, etc.) she sends via email.I have to admit I was skeptical of on-line classes; my first CGC class with her was in person, outside, and great. The second class with the puppy was online - and it provided a superb venue for the puppy teams to work together without the distractions of other dogs and environs. The focus was on the relationship of the team members, and the skills of the handler(s). Sara focused on each team in turn, provided feedback and often handouts on the additional behaviors discussed (jumping, barking, etc.). The final week was a class of games - who knew it could be so fun?!? Sara has a remarkable ability to present material, work personally with her students, and provide invaluable insights and humor. She is indeed #1.

We got her as an older puppy and she came with a lot of baggage (reactivity, food aggression, kennel aggression, etc.) They helped us work out a plan that set us up for success and were very patient and flexible throughout the whole process. Our girl is now more confident, happy, and fulfilled. We are so grateful for MDTC. It truly changed our family's life. I highly recommend!!!!

Black Pug Brewing Company
30 Bath Rd, BrunswickIt is easy with the overabundance of craft breweries to run with the safe and typical options. Black Pug certainly does not operate this way and instead experiments with unique flavors along with some more traditional brews. Today marked the first time I have revisited since way back in February of 2019. At that point they had only been open since October 2018. Hard to remember just how much the space had changed but it is still small but not meant in a negative way at all. It's a small but inviting and well decorated space. Plenty of as you would expect Pug pictures and decor, so very cute! I appreciate that they take risks with more unique beer offerings. Including their flagship THAI.P.A that uses ginger and lemongrass and they rotate different flavors into it. Jasmine and hibiscus beers and more. More traditionally they offer a kolsch as well. They also have bottles to go and offer growler (aptly named pug jugs) to go as well. If you can't decide their smaller pours are perfect to sample multiple brews. This visit my wife enjoyed their fruited sour Druidcraft and I got their smoked lager Camp Wood 4 Sale. Both tasty and well made. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders will help find the perfect beer for you and make you feel welcome in their space. Also although we did not partake this particular weekend they were offering Christmas ornament painting, a great little craft activity! A smaller sized brewery that deserves support and is worth checking out!

No one in our party is a vegetarian, but their veg strudel ended up being one of our favorite dishes we tried! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious.
The space is small but not tiny or cramped, the noise level was perfect for chatting, and the atmosphere was cozy and festive for Christmas.
Even though it was a Friday evening, we easily found street parking almost directly in front of the building.
