56 Carons Corner, TopshamI can "t give her enough stars. She is the best. I had a golden retriever once (sadly, he passed away.) She was his only hair groomer. Never could take him anywhere else. He was a very shy dog. But he did great with Sue. All my dogs love her.They know when I pull on her road. She is a wonderful and very pleasant person. She gives it her all , I would go nowhere else.........I have been going there for many years. When my dogs love her and enjoy seeing Sue then I know she is very good to them.

Community Spay-Neuter Clinic
321 Lewiston Road, TopshamFirst off, the staff was amazing. Very kind and knowledgeable, made the whole stressful process a lot easier. I only have a few gripes with my experience;
When I arrived home with my cat, the e-collar they sent her home in was tied on MUCH too tight, you should be able to put two full fingers between the collar and her neck, and I was barely able to get my pinky under. There wasn’t enough stretched gauze to untie it and I had to cut it off of her. Which I think greatly added to her post-op stress. Trying to get that off and get her into her surgery suit was a nightmare (we have multiple very affectionate cats that would groom her wounds with just the cone)
Secondly, I received a text from the clinic telling me that my cat has fleas, which is not true… I even ran a comb over her and found nothing. And when I went to pick her up I seemed like the only person who wasn’t walking out with the $90 recommended flea/tick treatment… I understand needing the extra money as a small community clinic doing the work you do, which is amazing. But, it makes more sense to ask for a small donation from each customer (like buying a can of cat food for the cats they’re trying to home or something like that)
Overall, her incision looks great and she seems fine now that the tight collar is off.

Androscoggin Animal Hospital

Last month, my family unexpectedly ended up having to put down my childhood dog (KC) on the same day that my own dog (Peanut) was in for a scheduled minor surgery (biopsy on a paw pad). When we found KC down, we knew that her own vet was too far away for her to be able to make it without causing her more pain, so I called AAH, because that's where I take my dogs and where Peanut was currently under the knife, and asked if they'd be able to see KC. They agreed and we brought her in. As soon as we got there they took us right back to a room and got a tech and a vet in to examine her quickly. When she had an accident, they calmly and graciously helped us clean her up. They brought out warm fuzzy blankets for her to curl up in. They let us take all the time we needed before and after and treated her and us with the upmost respect and empathy. Since Peanut was coming out of anesthesia and awake, they even asked if we wanted Peanut brought into the room to be present to say goodbye, and were completely understanding about taking Peanut and my other dog out back to the kennels after it became obvious that Peanut was still to out of it to understand what was happening. Before this, AAH was my dogs vet because they came highly recommended, but I didn't necessarily feel loyalty to them. After how wonderfully they treated my family in this difficult moment, they have earned my loyalty.
Also, the surgeon did a great job on Peanut's biopsy. It healed up complication free and with minimal pain and swelling, and they did a great job with managing the bit of pain she did have. It ended up just being a cyst, but I'm glad we decided to do the procedure anyway just to be sure. Especially since it healed up so well.

Wagon Tails Farm
335 Augusta Road, TopshamWe’ve been taking our young pittie to wagon tails for a few months now, and she’s quickly blossomed into an even more amazing dog! We adopted her late last year, she’s about 2-3. She hadn’t been properly socialized, and probably didn’t grow up with any other dogs to learn signals from. Daycare at wagon tails has been the best socialization, she learned how to give and receive cues from other dogs within just a few visits. She comes out of there smiling ear to ear, and is happily exhausted the rest of the night from a day of pure fun and joy. We also have been getting her trained with Sequoiah who is absolutely amazing at what she does! She goes above and beyond with typing out personalized write ups for how the training session went, and homework for us to work on with our dog. Everyone there clearly loves dogs of all breeds and personalities. It’s so comforting to know the dogs are in such good hands all day. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and actually want to be there unlike other dog care environments. We’ve only done daycare there so far, but would absolutely board her there if we ever need to. I love everything about Wagon Tails Farm, highly recommend!!

86 Topsham Fair Mall Road, TopshamMy daughter and I went for the Hibachi service and dinner. It was casual and fun. The hibachi food was decent, however, we had a crispy tuna roll as an appetizer and that was amazing. It was fun and the food was good. I would recommend to others.
