The shop is filled with products from local artists and makers, including artwork, pottery, candles, specialty foods, maple syrup, ornaments, textiles, soaps, and plenty of unique gifts you won't find in the typical souvenir shops. I also loved the selection of handmade rope baskets and all the fun cat toys and catnip products.

Everything was neatly displayed, making it easy to browse, and there was a nice variety of items across a wide range of prices.

“Visited Jen Burrall Designs for the first time a few weeks ago. What a gem right here in Portland!!! Jen’s handmade jewelry is absolutely stunning!!!! She is in the process of making me a ring with Seaglass, I can’t wait to pick it up, the intricate design within the ring is amazing!! She also made me a band, made with sand from the beach in Maine, it’s so cool!!! And the clothes, WOW!!! The styles Jen has picked out to sell in her store are absolutely beautiful, she has an eye for fashion, a true artist!!! I picked out so many eclectic pieces, and she’s always getting new, fun styles in. She also has other really cool items that she sells, that would make awesome gifts, like bags, and wallets. I have been in, now a few times, and like I said she always has new, different, cool items to browse through. Also, Jen is super cool, laid back, and easy going. It’s such a pleasure seeing and talking with her. She makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed in her space. It was such a fun shopping experience. We were able to look without feeling pressured. I live in NYC and, surprisingly, it's very hard to find handmade jewelry like this. So happy we found the store. “There are two Toko Indo's in Portland. One on Commercial street and the other on Exchange st. Both are owned by the same person, a person who has an incredible eye when it comes to buying clothes, jewelry and other sundries for her shops. I absolutely love the aesthetic of the selection at Toko. Lovely and unique additions to your wardrobe for reasonable prices. I also love to shop their jewelry, which is just as unique as their clothing!”

“First I'd like to say that this is the most fun shop to go into if you like vintage jewelry. I felt like a kid in a candy store. The selection is HUGE, I believe there is something there for everyone. They have an enormous amount of amazing gold pieces and white metal as well. If you can't find something here that tickles your fancy, you are crazy.
I came in here with a very specific goal to find a piece of jewelry to commemorate a very special milestone in my life. I wanted a vintage gold piece (charm/pendant) that fit in my budget that would be a daily wear that would fit with my existing chain and fit my lifestyle.
When my partner and I entered the store, we were warmly greeted by Alex and Bernadette. They both gave us time to look in ALL of the cases, and I emphasize all because there are so many cases. The jewelry is simply displayed so that you can see each piece clearly. The displays are also well organized so you wont miss anything by busy and unnecessary distractions in the cases. They checked in about halfway through to remind us that they were there to help if we'd like to see anything or try anything on. At the same time, they both gave us space to look, and chat about pieces that may interest us, and just drool over their beautiful selection. Never once feeling pressured by either of them. You know when you go into a store and the staff is looking at you like they are a pack of dogs waiting to be fed, never breaking eye contact and following you like a hawk? Yeah this wasn't the case at Market Square Jewelers. Alex was just polishing some jewelry while waiting to assist. Once we finished our initial loop around the store we were ready to take a closer look at some pieces. This is where our girl Alex comes in. Huge shout out to ALEX!
Alex came right over when we were ready for assistance, and took down many trays of pendants and charms that we had been eyeing. Once I explained more of the specific details of what I was looking for, she helped to look for and pull out pieces that fit my needs that she thought I might like. With each piece I turned down(all beautiful but not exactly what I was looking for), she adjusted the parameters of what she was going to pull out next to show us. I had finally come to about 4 or 5 final results with her help. I am very particular, and she was so patient as I went back and forth between the mirror holding the pieces up. I finally came to a conclusion, and she recommended that I actually put it on my chain to see how it fell and make sure that I was happy with my selection. She nailed it. This is not to mention her incredible memory; I had come in once before two years prior and looked at some signet rings and didn't end up purchasing anything but she remembered the exact ring I looked at and what elements I had liked about it. She actually pulled it back out of the case and I tried it on again. While I didnt purchase it for the second time, this is the kind of salesmanship that I appreciate and return to businesses for. I will be back next time I'm in Portland, hopefully on a day Alex is around. Thank you so much for your time and attention. This is such a special piece of jewelry already for me and the experience of finding makes it that much sweeter.”

“I saw a metal sculpture on their website that was out of stock. I contacted the stores directly to see if they had any in stock, I wanted to purchase 2 for Christmas gifts. “I cannot give this store enough stars!!! Frankly, it needs 10! A friend told me about this store last year when she found out I would be visiting Portland. It was on my list to visit from that moment. When I arrived in town, I began planning my store visits and when I read the reviews of this store almost changed my mind. Remembering how much T loved this store, I decided to go for it. Yes, it has a doorbell entry. Yes, it’s a high end store. Yes, it has unique and exclusive brands. This store isn’t for everyone - much like most stores. There are many stores that aren’t for me, but I don’t go on and write a review about them. Judith is a breath of fresh air. It’s stylish, luxurious, and has so many options. I have traveled and shopped in many places. Maine is beyond lucky to have such an option for women’s higher end fashion. I have thought about the doorbell entry a lot as I believe that is likely the main gripe in the reviews. It’s truly a necessity in today’s world. I appreciate the owner watching out for the safety of her employees and for her investment. Again, this store isn’t for everyone. But they have the most amazing brands and many options if you are looking for unique finds and investment pieces that you will have for years! I love it! Lauren went above and beyond to help me. I just let her style me and trusted the process. I’m just soooo sad we don’t have one in Indiana! Kudos to an amazing shop! Job well done! Husbands—-perfect place for a gift card for your wife!”
