“This is top notch customer service. I have been given my partner's grandmother's engagement ring, as my engagement ring. It is from 1939 and it fit perfectly. I knew I wanted to have it cleaned and looked over, so I began to look for a jeweler who specializes in vintage pieces. I found Attos and I am nothing short of thrilled. I dropped it off and within 2 weeks I got it back sparkling like it did in it's glory days. They did offer to leave the patina if I had wanted them to, but I chose to have them make it shine. They were fast, extremely friendly, and very kind. I reccomend them to anyone!”

“Cute little shop with a ton of items! We got a bottle of local chunk honey (a piece of honeycomb in a jar of liquid honey), a bottle of regular local honey, a 4" square of local honeycomb, and a small piece of chocolate covered honeycomb (not local). The only thing we won't get again is the chocolate covered honeycomb as it just wasn't as good as the other items. Can't wait to try some more items once these are gone!”

I was trying to order an item online, and I emailed them asking if I could pick-up in store so I wouldn't have to pay for a shipping fee. They emailed me back immediately and set up the in-store option for me. How freaking sweet?!Whenever I am in the area, I stop by so I can check out all their stuff. My favorite is the holiday cards, which they often change for all of the holidays.”

“This was a nice gift shop - everything in here is made in Maine which is what we prefer when looking for souvenirs. Everything in the store is well made and looks to be of good quality. Everything is fairly priced and there is a wide range of prices that would fit any budget. The salespeople were very busy but mostly pleasant.”

“There are two Toko Indo's in Portland. One on Commercial street and the other on Exchange st. Both are owned by the same person, a person who has an incredible eye when it comes to buying clothes, jewelry and other sundries for her shops. I absolutely love the aesthetic of the selection at Toko. Lovely and unique additions to your wardrobe for reasonable prices. I also love to shop their jewelry, which is just as unique as their clothing!”

“Beautiful pottery for all your home needs! They sell full dinnerware sets, large statement vases, and lovely ceramic lamps. They also sell other gift items and home goods, like table placemats and linen napkins. When you purchase items here, make sure you love it and want to keep it because their return policy is terrible (why they aren't getting five stars). We purchased table mats in the fall but they size ended up not working out for our table so we tried to return them. Apparently I had missed a tiny, hand-written note that says returns are for store credit or exchange only. I elected to do the store credit, but the cashier was intent on me picking out an item that day in the store. It took several phone calls to the manager or owner for her to figure out how to issue store credit that could be used at a later date. What should have been a quick, 5-minute return took over 20 minutes. When we returned recently to use our store credit, we picked out some nice linen napkins and presented the receipt that said store credit, but the cashier (same woman) was incredibly confused and said the return was already complete and therefore we had no store credit. We explained the situation and she eventually figured it out, but again it took much longer than it should have.”

“Very recent story. In July ('22) I purchased a bracelet from Cross Jewelers for my daughter’s 21st birthday. I had never heard of them prior and had chosen them from a list of other jewelers offering similar product. I liked their reviews. When the gift was delivered by FedEX, it was dropped off at the wrong address and disappeared. The folks at Cross were tremendous! They had an alternate package ready to go, even prior to FedEx's admittance that it was they who goofed up. But it gets better: Adding to complexities, my daughter is a Mate on a charter yacht and the vessel was out on a trip. Coordinating the delivery window of opportunity with staff at Cross was seamless however. Three people I had interacted with all had full knowledge of my situation and was in a position to be immediately helpful. On each of my many calls to them, I never had to re-explain in order to “get to the right person”. They all knew of the matter. I can only say that I am glad I chose such a reputable outfit. And, by the way, the bracelet was beautiful and my daughter was thrilled.”
