“Flowers and Candy is a really beautiful boutique shop on Exchange St. The owner, Eden, could not be more kind and accommodating. She truly cares about her customers' experience by listening to want you want/ need and guiding you to the right things.
They have high quality, Maine made CBD products and beyond. They have exceptional clothing pieces and trinkets for everyone as well. I would recommend that anyone stop in to Flowers and Candy if you are passing by (or even if you're not!)”

The girl who worked there was so friendly and helpful. I could literally buy everything in the store that's how much i loved it in there. I scoured their website and IG for the exact sweatshirt I had seen in store and when I didn't find it online, I reached out via phone. Their inventory manager Jordan was so helpful and pleasant over the phone. She went above and beyond and located the exact size/make of the sweatshirt and arranged for it to be mailed to me! “My wife and I travel annually to Maine and I always make time to stop in this particular store. Their curated selection of men’s clothing is second to none. The attention to detail and the responsiveness of the staff is always refreshing. As an example from my most recent trip: I found a shirt I loved and one of the staff noticed that it was slightly too long. Without hesitation they offered to alter the garment and even to ship it to me since I lived out of state.
This kind of service will keep me coming back and purchasing items for as long as I visit Portland. My only regret is that they don’t have more stores nationwide - but the fact that there is only one store is likely what makes it that much more special. I can’t wait to come back to David Wood next year.”

“I stumbled across this gem while visiting Portland and was completely blown away! Yes, the prices are a bit higher than your typical thrift store, but that’s because of the quality and brands they carry—it’s 100% worth it. Everything was in excellent condition, full of gently loved pieces at a fraction of the original retail price.
Even though I’m from South Carolina, I’ve continued to shop online and have been so impressed by the incredible customer service, fast shipping, and how responsive the staff is. My suitcase was actually overweight from how many amazing finds I brought home—no regrets!
I saw another review mention a lack of size variety, but that absolutely wasn’t my experience. My girlfriend and I both found pieces we loved—and she’s six feet tall! They truly have something for everyone.

I’m from chicago so I love a little boutique and the aesthetic of the store is cute. She was feeling a little out of the element and Madison, a store Manager saw us looking endlessly for clothes and thus approached us to see if we needed help. Madison made our day!
