“W O W
A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive
Wow—pulled pork with bourbon BBQ sauce and Jersey-style fair fries? Just take all my money already.
This place is an absolute hidden gem. The only downside? It’s nearly a two-hour drive from home, and that’s just cruel.
I was in Cumberland for a business trip when someone recommended this spot. From the outside, it’s unassuming, but the food? Incredible. I ordered the pulled pork, and it was so good I seriously considered grabbing another before heading out.
On top of the amazing food, the staff were absolutely lovely. Their warmth and friendliness made the experience even better, and I’m so grateful for their hospitality. If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it.”
“Can’t speak for the actual market, but it does have some essentials! Like they have wine, beer, tomato sauce, noodles, chips… the breakfast sandwich is really what we came for and the potato head breakfast sandwich was so good, you can definitely taste the smoked cheddar on it! I got it on a shallot bun and it’s a big sandwich! $8 for it! Cute little market village!”
“This truck stop is small but still convenient for the area and not too many other options as far as truck stop, the restroom and showers are clean and well maintained, they also have washers and dryer machines too.”
“There are so many things this place offers it's truly shocking. They'll make you a meal, & Take out if you call ahead it will be ready for you. I'm not a huge fan of Green Mountain Coffee but I liked it, it works for me. They do have groceries I stick to the essentials. Party platters, bags of ice, drinks things to snack on... if you really need some fishing things they have some supplies however I don't know if they sell licenses, as well as propane. I ran across these people a few months ago and wow super super nice Folk. The woman I spoke to told me they did not sell soft drinks out of a fountain and so I couldn't just go in and get some ice but then she shared some of her personal ice with me and after that I'll never forget her. It seems like everybody knows everybody that's there but since I'm not from the state of maine..... I went outside and got myself a few pair of socks and gave it to the ladies that were there. I wanted to come back and talk to one of them about her Heritage in her family and how that very prosperous and well-known person affected her life today and yesterday I just haven't done it yet. Thank you Durham Get & Go!”
“So the well ran dry on are property where we live, and someone told us s that we can shower at the circle k truck stop in Auburn. They said it's clean and they provide towels and it's only $10 for about 45 minutes. And they were right! This is a great place! There's also a washer and a dryer for guests, and Wi-Fi!”

“Joined the Irving app and it's pretty nice. Get a discount and a super easy payment process. This place is easy to get in and out of and the store clerks are pleasant enough. Good prices and good experience what more could you ask for.”
“Friendly staff, a great place to pick up something to eat. They have hot food to grab on way to work, hot drinks, soda, breakfast pizza, icecream bars ...etc.
I do not need to cook the food. When you are done eating. You just throw the paper or wrappers away. So you have no dishes to wash!”
“Food is good....usually.. Hope you don't like it or our community. There's a McDonald's down at Exit 48. We'd prefer you go there and save us the further descent into Urban Sprawl and squalor too many support and can't seem to correctly identify as continued human error.
Basic local convenience store serving decent Sandwiches and Pizza.”
“Stopped by today on my way home from work went in got a sandwich and a drink. The owner was in the store and was super nice to talk to. The sandwich was great and i will be going back for sure”
“I've only been twice and treated well each time. There was a little bit of a line, but they're the best price in town, consistently. As J walked out, there were people waiting to get yo the pumps. With it was a little larger, just no room.”
“friendliest Rusty Lantern I think ive ever been to. The day I came in there was a young lady working and she was very helpful and nice when I needed assistance, keep up the good work Stephyn!!”
“I have nothing but good things to say about this place as a truck driver. Awesome showers, Great driver lounge, Free parking. Alot of my pickup and drop locations are only a few miles away, so the location is prime. Big truck stop amenities with a small town feel. Every staff member interaction was friendly and met with a smile.”

“CVS has a good selection of products, some of them surprising for a pharmacy. My concern is that many of their prices are very high, such that I'll only buy on sale.”

“Its accessibility and wide variety of products, including snacks, drinks, and fresh food options, make it a convenient stop. Overall, Cumberland Farms serves its purpose as a quick and convenient stop for gas and everyday essentials, especially for coffee enthusiasts and those seeking fresh food options at the New Concept Stores. However, potential visitors should be aware of possible inconsistencies in app functionality and customer service depending on the specific location.”

“If you want a snack late on Christmas night in Freeport, this is going to be your place. This Circle K was sold out of most things late that evening (likely, from others in my position), but I was able to rally together a sausage breakfast burrito and a packet of extra sugary honey roasted peanuts. The employee on call was very friendly. Would recommend dropping by if you are in a similar position!”

“Great traveling in and out location, easy interstate stop no wait. Great stop and amazingly friendly cashier. Bathrooms were outside, but after working 2 years for a gas station, they were very nice for outside access bathrooms. Bathrooms are also unlocked unless in use which was awesome!! No going in to ask for a key and waste time.”

“The drive thru pharmacy is great! Very quick and easy...got a print out for 2019 purchases and a refill in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, we had to go directly TO the pharmacy because the Walgreens (in this Southern Maine area anyway!) new phone system is a runaround and ridiculous! This is a complaint I've only recently experienced, but had heard from numerous people recently, even employees of Walgreen.”
“The crown jewel of Pownal’s celebrated downtown district. Keeping us locals gassed up and supplied with cheap coffee and snacks. Recently renovated and upgraded to include a bigger selection of local beers, which if you’re gonna gentrify slowly, that’s just the price we’ll have to pay.”
