“I like this shopping center. It's nostalgic for me. It's nice to see there are many local stores not found elsewhere. The shopping is tight on parking. Overall, I like this strip a lot.”

“I needed compression stockings for my pregnancy and went to the compression department of this pharmacy and was assisted by Wilma, who was so caring, helpful, and understanding of my situation. She even offered to stay late one day so that I could pick up what I needed for the weekend. She helped me find the right fit for pregnancy and postpartum. Grateful for her help, kindness and dedication!”

“I moved away from Bethesda 6+ years ago, but still think about this awesome pharmacy. Narender was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Great staff as well. I highly recommend River Rx!”

“Best grocery store in Bethesda. Clean, good produce and meat. Always clean, a little more expensive than Giant or Safeway. Never enough checkers. Always have to wait for someone to man the customer service counter.”

“I I was on my way to visit my daughter and I'd stop by my doctor's office for some lab work and continued on my trip. My doctor's office called and told me I needed to start an antibiotic being far from my regular pharmacies that don't have a branch in that area I went to Glen echo pharmacy where they not only help me maneuver the getting of prescription from my doctor's office they called and checked did everything they could to help me I couldn't be any more grateful”

“I enjoy Giant Foods. Good prices, good selection of gluten free, dairy free, soy free foods. When I'm not in Central VA, this is my preferred place to get snacks and some Katz and Udi branded products. I'm staying away from the Schar brand since some of their items have gluten (croissant), soy (wafers) and dairy. I like the layout, things are easy to find and they have an easy to use reward program. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and they sell Chobani Extra Creamy Oat Milk.”

“I like this store, but there are some basic things it doesn't carry. Like whitefish salad, either acme or ivy city, and port salut cheese,. I also didn't see store brand monterey jack, orly cheddar, swiss, munster, mozzerella. The gouda selection is also lacking. They only have family size of most cheerios and lots of other cereal, which are too expensive. I like the seating area, which seemed fairly large and completely empty. There are 2 levels of parking on ground and basement, but you need to take elevator or stairs to get to store. No escalator. Unlike most safeways, the produce and deli/bakery are on opposite ends of the store. Usually they blend into each other. Generally good selection. Central location walking distance to bethesda row, bethesda shopping center, Bradley shopping center including strosniders, bradley food and drug, breads unlimited, etc.”

“My experiences with them have been good so far. They are responsive, professional and polite. If you are unhappy with anything here, come to CVS on Wisconsin Ave and you will be happy to be back here :)) It's relativity.”

“I have no idea where these negative reviews come from. Everytime I call I get great information, and when I came to pick up my script today I was told the team had figured out how to give me the lowest price possible - even lower than GoodRx. I couldn't be more pleased. Don't believe the naysayers. ?”

“The pharmacists are extremely knowledgeable and extremely willing to explain possible drug interactions. In addition, the front-line staff go out of their way to help their customers. I highly recommend this pharmacy.”

“I am so disgusted and offended with the negative reviews at this Safeway. I chalk it up to people who love to complain more than anything else. Regarding the self-service, There are ample cashiers who serve the customers but as you've seen with a grocery industry we are moving more towards self-service kiosk and there are people on staff to help others with any issues. The meat and fish are always good and the produce is for the most part excellent. The deli counter is first rate and the service is impeccable. There are a couple of people I for being cheerful and always willing to help. Namely Robert and Crystal. I walked in there in a bad mood and come out smiling after encountering them. These are hard-working good people and people should be ashamed of themselves for denigrating them. My only complaint is that the self-service kiosks sometimes fail but that's not a dealbreaker for me”

“Very decent parking and nice location! Customers seem very demanding, and employees are doing their best. Saw a woman checking out full cart of stuffs at pharmacy counter and she had to argue with employee over some coupon issues. The manager had to be called over while the line kept getting longer. I honestly believe the pharmacy check out should be for prescriptions only”

“The CVS pharmacy staff works really hard to do a good job and has always had my prescriptions quickly. I really appreciate the work they do for what often seems like a thankless job from many patrons”

“CVS can improve customer experience by hiring more people from underrepresented minority groups and paying their employees better salaries because these people go over and beyond to help all their customers with such care and compassion it is unbelievable!!”

“We hadn't been to this store for many years, since my mother had moved away from this area. We took advantage of being very nearby two days ago and we stocked up on a huge amount of non-perishable items - including some incredibly-delicious cornbread - plus spinach quiche, which we ate en route back to NYC. The selection of items throughout this (huge) store was *superb* and everything was organized really nicely. Also, the cashier was exceptionally friendly - and the manager who we complimented about the cashier was also friendly.”

“So amazing a sanctuary for all lovers of anything beautiful. The store had plenty of open and ready self check outs. There was also a wide selection of notebooks, pens, and aquifer all to make myself feel as if I am glowing. I chose to shop here with no regrets. If you need a good pen and paper, or if you like your hands to feel smooth this CVS is my go to. :) also I adore the round up donation. The idea to round up the coins is genius. i know together we can all do so much good.”

“This CVS has the nicest staff and the best customer service. Julius is the kindest manager with incredible patience. This has been a very very busy and difficult time and to still have so much compassion for me a stranger, made me so grateful this world has people like Julius. This is why the Sangamore CVS is a great place. It starts at the top. CVS should recognize that it’s employees are invaluable. Appreciate them all.”

“Need an RX filled in timely manner. Both Rockville CVS locations were less than helpful. On a chance stopped by this CVS location. The pharmacist was friendly, helpful and very efficient. Moved all our RX here!”

“This is an update for the incomplete review that was posted just three days ago due to a system glitch that I encountered! I was at the Wildwood Shopping center to stop into Sarah's Homemade Ice Cream. This CVS is located a few doors from Sarah's. I was in need of more of the Carmex brand lip care for-cold-sores product. It had been several years since I had to buy more as It is rarely ever used by me. However when I do it works great & fast! This CVS is smaller than the newer stores that are close to my house. The parking is easy as the Wildwood Shopping center has a large lot and it was a busy day just a few days after Christmas. The entrance to this CVS is "old school." It is not one where the sliding doors open when you approach it. There are 2 self checkout stations adjacent to the entrance. The checkout counter sits along the right side wall next to the photo department. There were at least 5 employees working in the store. I asked a younger store associate who was stocking the shelves where to find the Carmex product. She wasn't sure they had it but referred me to the manager. He was also stocking the shelves. He pointed me toward 2 counter top spinners found on the checkout counter. I saw Carmex lip care moisturizers on them but not the one I needed. That's when the manager called out to me to look in aisle #9. The cold sore and lip care product were in fact here but I didn't see the Carmex brand. Many brands of cold sore treatments were rather pricey (some over $20). I passed on buying any of it today but looked in the Christmas mark down section near the front of the store. I Found nothing of interest to me & I left the store. In general CVS has higher prices on almost everything than grocery store chain stores like Target, Giant & especially Aldi and lidl. They have a bigger variety of brand names though than I've seen at Walgreens stores! This is why using the extra care bucks and coupons is so important like the 40 percent off one I had planned on using today. Until next time be kind to each other. #cvs #pharmacy @yelpdc #friendlyservice”

“I’ve been going to this CVS for nearly a decade. The staff, and especially the managers, are really good folks who take pride in their store. I don’t use the pharmacy, so I can’t speak to that, but in terms of convenience and a welcoming vibe, this CVS has both.”
