If something you need or desire isn’t available in the store, and it’s brands/lines Nauti Paws carries, ask and they may be able to order it for you. Very good return policy for items that didn’t fit, or your baby wasn’t interested in, or refused to eat. Somethings are reasonably priced and of good value and some are over-reaching, overpriced, and poorly assumed to be useful. I find they are competitive with Bev’s Pet Supplies and slightly for expensive than The Grooming Place Pet Store.They track your purchase history in their system every visit.Nauti Paws is better than other small pet businesses with their bathing room, inventory and client purchase history management I’ve patroned across the bridge and up and down the Eastern Seaboard when living in NC.There is a different clerk or store rep or the owner there every time I return once every 3-4 weeks. Some other competitors have consistent staff with a wide knowledge base on different species and breeds, as well as products. This and some higher costs of some products are the primary weaknesses keeping NautiPaws from being the best on Kent Island and competitive with our creatures

1520 Postal Rd, ChesterI recently took my pug bestie, Hazel, to Bay Area Veterinary Hospital in Chester, MD to get updated on her shots and flea & tick meds, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the front desk staff to the vet techs and Dr. Hendler, everyone was so kind, professional, and clearly passionate about animals.
The communication throughout Hazel’s visit was excellent—Dr. Hendler explained every step of the exam, discussed Hazel’s vaccines and preventive care plan, and made sure I understood what to expect next. The follow-up summary afterward was detailed and super helpful.
It’s clear this team truly cares about their patients and takes pride in offering top-quality veterinary care to our local community. I’m so thankful to have such a caring, communicative, and thorough veterinary team right here in Chester! ?

Chesapeake Veterinary Hospital
102 Country Day Rd, ChesterOur puppy is one year old now and it was about time to get established with a local vet. I have never really had a good experience with a vet in the past, so I was anxious to pick the right one. Chesapeake Veterinary Hospital made a great impression on me right away. I had filled out a new patient form online and the very same day, I received a friendly call asking if I wanted to schedule an appointment for my pup. They had great availability. I expected to be waiting for a while for a new patient exam but they got me in right away! On the day of my appointment I was initially nervous to discuss costs. I have had a vet in the past tell me, “Welp, your dollar, your dog,” and have been shamed for questioning whether “routine” tests were really necessary, and for wanting to shop around rather than to have all of the things pushed on me and being told the prices later. With Chesapeake Vet Hospital, this was the total opposite of that, and this interaction helped to ease all my anxieties and to give me a new hope for a trusted relationship with the vet team. Our vet tech (unfortunately don’t recall her name but she was wearing maroon scrubs) was very warm, sincere, and my pup instantly warmed up to her. She listened to my concerns and even printed out estimates for heartworm meds from their online pharmacy (which turned out to be more affordable than both Chewy and Petco!) Not once during this experience did I feel pressured whatsoever. The veterinarian did a thorough exam and stayed after with me to chat about any questions or concerns I had. I felt that he took quality time to educate me, and I appreciate that. Before the heartworm blood test, the vet tech came back in with an estimate to make sure it was okay with me before we proceeded. A huge sigh of relief. My pup and I will most definitely be back. Thank you, Chesapeake Vet team, for giving me peace of mind.

2651 Cecil Dr, ChesterHeidi is amazing! I had been told by a previous trainer that my dog was untrainable. Not so with Heidi. We have two little dogs who were not housebroke, Heidi helped us and they now let us know when they have to go out! No more messes! Additionally, they no longer run out whenever the door is opened and have learned not to eat anything that just drops on the floor. Life is so much easier and relaxed without worrying they will eat something poisonous - like an onion or avocado - that drops or worry about them running across the street when someone comes in. Heidi is wonderful with our dogs and has been a great help.

Whenever I have had an emergency with my fence (like my husband digging where he shouldn't), Lester has immediately taken care of the problem! Could not be more pleased with the service provided.

200 Castle Marina Rd, ChesterWe found Sugar Doodles when biking the Cross Island Trail. This was a great stopping point to take a break and treat ourselves. The ice cream and coffee were excellent and the service was very friendly. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.
