KickHouse Hyattsville is such a beautiful and welcoming space! They were incredibly accommodating and honored our request to have a women-only class, even ensuring we had a female instructor. From start to finish, the environment felt safe, supportive, and inclusive.
Our instructor, Daric, was amazing—full of energy, encouragement, and expertise. The workout was a fantastic sweat session, paired with great music and a team that clearly cares about creating a positive experience for everyone.

“I had scheduled a body scan and ran very late. By the time I got to the gym, the instructor who was supposed to do the scan had left. However, Elena @ the front desk was so incredibly helpful by first attempting to reschedule me but when we couldn’t find a suitable time, she went ahead and performed the scan and told me to just ask any of the instructors for an explanation the next time I come back. This was above and beyond customer service. I have also enjoyed working out at the gym.”

Coach John led the class with energy and precision. His motivation was contagious, and I especially appreciated his attentiveness on the weight floor—he made sure my form was solid, which elevated the entire workout.
I will definitely be returning whenever I am in town.
One friendly heads-up: the bakery next door is dangerously tempting. If you grew up in Europe or simply have a deep love for fresh bread, consider yourself warned—it is hard to walk past without indulging.”

Something I think this studio does right is meeting where people are. It’s not just on the weight floor but also like do you have circumstances and are telling folks hey this is what’s up- they’re so willing to work with you. It truly does become a family. It’s almost 6 years of OTF and this studio gets it right. Takes a little drinking the OTF cool aid to get your moneys worth - I think like anything the more you invest in (emotionally, mentally) typically the more you can get back out. Love this place with every fiber of my being. ?
I love my H STREET OTF studio- the SAs are all great and knowledgeable and just great humans. SM Alex is a gem and every single coach is amazing. Love Liz, Sam, Chloe, Jeanette and HC PUMA. Phenomenal people that are passionate and truly get to know everyone. Been in and out with injury’s for a while and they help with modifications and are just compassionate people that know! No judgement just fun. ✨? plus these folks have the best music.”
“I really love this gym. This is no cookie-cutter chain gym. This is a unique neighborhood gym and all of the instructors and the staff are awesome. There are flowers planted outside, house plants in the bathroom, it's always very clean. The people who come here are friendly. The sauna is nice. The facility is never too busy, you will always get a machine. The classes are top-notch and offered at a good range of times. I've done several of the yoga classes and a sprinkling of other classes. It's inexpensive. It's easy to get to, with plenty of parking available. They also have a very easy to use app for signing up for classes.”

“When I came to Foundation Fitness it was the first time I had ever walked into a gym. The twice weekly sessions have been terrific. Ester is so very good at what she does. She is very focused on form and provides excellent feedback to be sure I am doing the exercises correctly and getting the most out of them. Ester is encouraging and positive and just a pleasant person to be around. There are never more than a few people training at any given time and everyone is very friendly. CJ (owner) is very responsive if you ever need anything. I am so grateful to have found this gym and to have been connected with Ester.”
“I love 9Round and highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something other than a normal, overcrowded gym. The trainers truly set this gym apart from everyone else. They take the time to understand your strengths and push you in a motivating way without pressure or judgment. I’ve been to gyms where the trainers make you feel bad for not hitting a goal, but that’s never the case here. At 9Round, I always feel comfortable, confident, and supported while still being challenged.
Also, the 30-minute workout format is a HUGE plus. I get a more effective workout in those short rounds than I ever did spending an hour at a regular gym. It’s efficient, intense, and fits perfectly into a busy schedule.
On top of that, the kickboxing skills you learn and the confidence you gain (especially knowing how to protect yourself in DC) make it completely worth it. I’ve never felt healthier or stronger than I do now, and I’m so glad I found 9Round!”

All it took for me to get a membership was just 5 mins of talk with Coach Aaron and the best thing that I was looking for which is “Real Craft”. “I've been coming to F45 for a bit over a year. I was pretty skeptical about it, but this gym has seriously exceeded my expectations. The coaches have been great about helping me progress and adjusting exercises for my long-standing shoulder injury. I've really appreciated the flexibility when it comes to things like pausing a membership for travel or illness, and the extra workouts and events the team offer.If you're not familiar with F45, some days have cardio classes, some have weights/resistance, and some are hybrid. The classes are 45 minutes long, which I appreciate because I can take a class on my lunch break.If you told me two years ago that I'd hang out with people I met at the gym, I'd tell you something about you being bad at predictions, but shockingly I've also made friends at this gym, even though this wasn't remotely my intention. Who knew! Anyway, if you're on the fence, I recommend you check it out, there's always a good intro offer.”

“I have always struggled to work out consistently until I found Fit360 about a year ago. While there is a wide variety of excellent classes, I’ve mostly taken classes with Brian. It is so evident that Brian loves what he does, and he genuinely enjoys carefully crafting each class so that it is as dynamic and effective as possible. Brian pushes you to grow, and this was the first time I was encouraged to be intentional about choosing my weights and challenging myself to progressively increase and lift heavier. It is high-energy, and each circuit is quick, which makes classes fly by. I cannot overstate how coming here has completely changed my relationship to fitness!”

“I visited Rec Mode for a trial class -- it was a great experience, from first emails to the class itself. Everyone there (Maxine, David, Coach Base) is kind and welcoming. The space is great, with a ring, bags, and room for cardio and strength training. Coach Base made sure class was extremely challenging but a lot of fun! “My favorite thing to do when I travel is to drop in to CrossFit gyms. I'm a CF nerd and coach for 8 years. I have probably visited around 20+ gyms and this is the best experience I have ever had. I was able to sign up online very easily. Right away the coach, Aman, welcomed me when I walked in the door and made me feel comfortable and explained all the housekeeping details of their gym. By the end of the class, he had also introduced me to every single person in their gym! He was awesome. I loved his calm demeanor about him when explaining the workout (I learned a few things from him!) , his classroom management was top notch and his communication on movement standards reflected true virtuosity in a lighthearted way. Aman and CrossFit DC is the perfect example of why anyone who tries CrossFit gets life changing results.”
