“We were eating nearby and saw this place and decided to go in and check it out. We saw the Afghan naan looked good and it was only a couple dollars. I don't have much information about the rest of the store but this might be the best bread we have had regardless of price.Now we make sure to stop by whenever we are nearby. The bread with potato filling is also very good, not sure what it is called. The employees we have encountered there are all very friendly and helpful.”

“Patel Brothers in Montgomery Village is one of the best Indian grocery stores in the area! They have a great variety of groceries, fresh vegetables, and all the essentials like rice, flour, masalas, and condiments. The store is clean and well-organized.
I really like their freshly made chapatis and parathas, and the snack section is amazing samosas, puffs, pastries, and many more Indian treats. Everything tastes fresh and authentic.
A great place to shop for Indian food and ingredients. We always enjoy coming here and will definitely visit again whenever we get the chance!”
“Amazing store!! I’m allergic to a lot of things and can’t usually find yummy things to eat at the bigger grocery chains, but mom’s organic market has opened my food options to so much!! The only thing I would wish for is more completely dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free options for things like frozen meals (especially breakfasts) but that is my only note really! Love love love this organic market!!”

“Lidl is a fantastic addition to the area and the prices are outrageously low! They have a great store brand and some brand name items (way more brand names than Aldi), if you care about that. I buy the store brand.
I have completely switched all my grocery shopping to this store and I use their app for savings. Very easy and free app.
The store is always well-stocked unless you go on Sunday after 5:00 PM. It's a popular grocery shopping day, and like all stores, they'll run out of a bunch of things by then. The produce is limited but it's very affordable and there's always a sale.
Don't sleep on the bakery section! The plain croissants are AMAZING and only 79 cents!! Wayyy better than Starbucks or Panera for 1/4 of the price. Everything from the bakery has been incredibly good.
The checkout lines are managed very well! If there's more than a few people in line, they always open another line, always. You should bring bags and be prepared to bag your own groceries.
Every now and then, they run out of carts and you have to grab one from the parking lot. Still worth it to me. The parking lot is very big but for some reason, they made the 'aisles' way too small and the parking spaces even smaller. I have a tiny car and it is still a bit of a struggle. I see large SUVs that don't have a prayer of fitting in a spot. But, there's always extra parking so you can take up more than one spot if needed.
Ultimately, a very good discount grocery store and totally worth shopping here to save $!”

“The Deli staff was quick, friendly and professional. The shelves were stocked. The only drawback is that there was only 1 human cashier. Started out 4th in line; were 7 people waiting when I was done. The cashier was quick but 1 person can only do so much.”
“Hi! I’m a FIRM believer in giving credit when credit is due AND acknowledgement for a GREAT work ethic (very rare these days). VALERIE is quite fantastic. I live in the neighborhood and shop at the New Design Giant quite often. Whether she is checking people out or at the self checkout area, she has always been most helpful and seems to always “go the extra mile” to be of service in any way she can. I SO appreciate this and I’m sure others do too. Like I said, I’m in the store often so to see this consistency and to take notice of it and then prompt me to write a review, well, that should definitely be a sign to management. Be kind to her and please give her recognition she deserves!! This means a lot to employees - don’t forget that! Thank you Valerie for trying and making a difference!!”

“For the diaspora living in Maryland, this shop is a cure for homesickness. Here we can get typical Indonesian foodstuffs and dishes. We can even request what we want to make. Every Saturday and Sunday they sell dishes and cakes such as chicken noodles, dumplings, nasi Padang, pempek, meatballs, lemper, croquettes, klepon etc. There is also a small booth that makes food with different menus every week, such as typical Bangka sweet martabak, typical Jakarta gado2, kangkung noodles, etc. You really have to come here because as far as I know this shop is the only Indonesian groceries store in Maryland. Hopefully the shop can be enlarged so it can accommodate more customers.”

“Wonderful store with friendly employees. A solid selection of uncommon foods and flavors. A bit Goya heavy on selection but there are still authentic imported items. Fresh Bakery items are a gem. Some things are a bit pricy but I get it. Small store, expensive items.”

“This is the nicest HT I have ever been in! So very clean, beautifully stocked. You can tell they take pride in their store,it shows! I moved from VA to MD and a 25 min drive was the closest HT to me,but I will definitely make the drive back there after this pleasant experience.Everyone was smiling and very helpful.
