“I love Harris Teeter. They have the quality and variety of foods at the level of the higher end grocery stores like Wegmans, but the lower prices of your Safeway's and Giant's. I especially like the seafood and meat counter as they have a great selection of really good meat with great cuts and then the fish selection is awesome and really good quality but when the stuff is on sale, it's like the less expensive stores. The deli is another place where they shine. Their store brand deli meats are good, but if you want the better stuff, they carry a large selection of Boar's Head products for a little more money.”

“Thursday 1/18/2024 I've always held Germantown Dutch market in high regard but after trying more of the Dutch market locations in Maryland (like Annapolis, Laurel, and upper Marlboro) my opinion has changed. If I was ranking all of the Maryland Dutch markets I've been to I would say: first Annapolis, second Laurel, third Germantown, and lastly upper Marlboro. I think Germantown Dutch market definitely excels in theirs pretzels & logs, their wings & wedges from kings bbq pit, and their wonderful carrot cake. My favorite items: carrot cake, carrot bread, cinnamon raisin pretzel, ham and cheese log, bbq wings, seasoned wings, ribs, and the potato wedges. The donuts are solid but their bakery in general doesn't really come close to the Annapolis one or the Laurel one. Also The ice cream is pretty mediocre, the fudge is decent, and the juices are okay for the most part. Overall, I still really like Germantown Dutch market but it's just not as good as Annapolis or Laurel and that's completely fine.”

“This Trader Joe's is my favorite grocery store to shop at. I have to give it 5 stars because of that, but it is not without it's faults.First of all, if you go later in the day, even a couple hours before closing, a lot of times they will be out of many items in the produce section, or very low with only the less fresh, lower quality ones remaining. Second, the parking lot is a bit of a disaster. Too few spots for the amount of traffic, and the lanes are too narrow.Other than that, they have great products at low prices, including many exclusive things you can't get anywhere else. I feel like with recent inflation, other stores have increased their prices much more than here. The staff is friendly and always willing to help, and they get you checked out quickly even during busy hours.”

“The best grocery store in the area and probably I've been to in my life. Hands down. After the remodel they have a fantastic selection of organic goods which is important. Well managed. They care about customers here. Daniel the store manager is a great guy too.”

“Great small market with lots of speciality items. We go there for Gypsy Salami! Owners are so friendly and helpful. Meats, baked items, chocolate, beer etc. Not a restaurant.”

“When I went into Weis I was looking for something quick and easy to make for my sister to snack on after a flight. I asked an employee, Sharon , if Weis had gluten free pastry dough or gf croissants. She may have been the nicest employee I’ve ever come across in a Weis. In any grocery store for that matter. She took time to to go look with me. Spoke to the frozen food guy. Walked me to the gf section and asked the grocery manager. Unfortunately day didn’t have it. But in all honesty at that point I don’t really care because she really took the time to help me look for something that I needed. She didn’t come across like I was a bother or it was too much to help me. I really want to thank her for being so kind and so nice. I wish there was more employees like Sharon.”

“PETER is the only one who knows and has proper knowledge of the meats. He goes out of his way to make sure the service is an A+. He even tells you what meats to choose for your recipe. He once cooked the meat for me to try on the grill. A+++ When PETER isn't there, don't even think about trying to get American style meats. He is the reason me and a lot of the newer generation and young adults go to this place.”

“This place is as authentic as it gets when it comes to Iranian market/food. They have a good selection of groceries and barbari/lavash bread in case you're doing your own Iranian cooking. They also sell kabobs and daily specials for other Iranian dishes. As an Iranian American, the food tastes familiar and warms the soul. It is reasonably priced and the portions are just right. Next time you're thinking of going to a certain kabob chain restaurant, opt for Caravan instead; you'll be happy you did!”

“Loooooove this store! Amazing selection of vitamins, produce, ALL products! They have all my favorites! I’m new to the area and so glad I found Mom’s! I wish they made their own hot soups or had a live salad bar! I’d be there everyday!”

“This is the best grocery store in Mount Airy. The prices are ok, but the sales are good and the rewards program is excellent. There are always plenty of employees, and plenty of cash registers open, each with an actual cashier. There are few grocery items I can't find here. It's a solid selection, typically well stocked. The produce and meat departments are well maintained, as well as the bakery and deli. Definitely my go-to grocery store in Mount Airy.”

“I am very picky about the quality of meat that I buy. I have gone to various halal markets around Virginia, Maryland as well as PA. I found the quality of goat and chicken to be outstanding at Madina Market. Their prices are always lower than others and quality above their competitors. Their Customer Service is very friendly and helpful. You feel home when at store.”

“Very good Latin store love the fresh mango and the store is very clean. All the staff is friendly and it when I step in I feel like I'm back home in my country shopping in a local store.”

“Everything here is great, except that it took 15 minutes for soup to be put in the microwave... But other than that, so good! They just seem busy, and need to hire more than the one lady working in the kitchen. Cute couple. Always friendly!”

“Major respect to Hortense and her partner for having a welcoming store that's well lit, with culturally tailored products (no useless quality products), friendly demeanor, nicely organized with good memory of where the things are when you ask. The product choices range from trusted brands you may recognize from home countries and also local artisanal foods or tonics.Well done! Can you believe it? An hour later at a larger African store in the same area, I asked the shop keeper where something was and he scrunched up his face & said: "What?! Pepper sauce?? No we don't have. "The Baltimore made pepper sauce was in jars right in front of him. @_@ What a difference!Go Hortense, your family shop is definitely needed.Haha”

“The store appears to go out of its way to stock what those in town need or ask for. The expanded pantry item’s section is notable compared to others. The staff really stand out as above and beyond. Always friendly and always professional. Too often the staff seems short handed or challenged to multi task between restocking and cashiering.”

“This place is almost dizzying...there is so much to choose from and so many treats to tempt you, from fresh baked goods to bbq to cakes as big as a hatbox. We had great home style lunches in the cafe with big piles of beef and delicious potatoes and slices of pillowy cake to take home and eat later. Is it rude to say that everyone on staff is dressed like they're in "Witness"? Probably, but they were also lovely, gracious, and patient with the throngs of people lining up to buy hams unlike anything you find in the supermarket, and chocolate turtles the size of actual turtles, waffles piled with fruit and whipped cream, Easter bunny bread, and cheeses, and fresh flowers, and dinette sets. I wish I could be here every day. Prepare for a wait to get a seat in the restaurant, and the possibility of sharing a table. It's a place to be nice to other people, so scoot over and make room, and just enjoy your coffee.”

And they wanna get like a snack or a drink at a store. Also, their prices are just great. Like it's like when I'm shopping there. And I find a bag of chips. Turns out that bag of chips. Is 1.90 what a great deal some are $1? Bags of chips.”

“This location shows promise. The parking lot definitely could be improved. Aside from that the selection was nice, shelves were full and organized. I loved that it was very clean and the bakery section had fresh items and good bread and apple turnovers I really enjoyed. I spent half than I usually do going to other places and came away with much more, especially with inflation going on. The fact that they are able to keep prices so low to moderate for brand name items is a welcomed addition to the area. This is definitely worth checking out at least once to compare to other places if you have the time. I just revisted this location last night and it's still a great place to shop for groceries. They might not have everything you want in every area but they have carefully chosen what sells well in each department to give you a wide variety of both in-house brand items and some name brands sprinkled in. This is still a nice option to have and Aldi's is right across the street. It's typically pretty busy here but the shelves are well stocked and staff helpful when called upon. The aisles are spacious enough for people to come and go without any congestion and the bread is very fresh most of the time. The atmosphere is that of what you would expect from a grocery store similar to Aldi's.”
