“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Genevieve. Every time I visit the store, she is welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help, but during my most recent visit she went above and beyond anything I expected.
Genevieve took the time to listen to my concerns about stress, weight gain, hormones, and overall health. Instead of rushing the conversation, she asked thoughtful questions, shared her knowledge, and helped me understand possible factors that could be contributing to how I was feeling. She explained the benefits of an alkaline-focused approach, printed out information for me, and even helped me create a simple plan for what to eat, what to avoid, and where to start.
What impressed me most was how much she genuinely cared. She made me feel heard, supported, and encouraged. A month later, I was sleeping better, feeling better, and even fitting into clothes that had become too tight.

“Max Pecherskyi was great. I come to this location pretty often and he consistently stands out. He’s always fast, friendly, and keep the line moving even when it’s busy. I’ve noticed they stay calm with difficult customers and still manage to be polite and helpful. It makes the checkout process way smoother than at most places. Employees like that really make a difference in the overall experience. Love to see him every time I come in.”
“Large selection of groceries and a good bakery. Near a lot of other stores in the area. It can get a little busy on weekends, but checkout is always easy. The facility well is organized and kept clean. Big parking garage connected to the store. Some local buses pass through.”

1. One of the best if not the best Asian store located in Gaithersburg. This place offers a lot from different cultures such as Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and etc.
2. They not only sell food but sell products like rice cooker, utensils, pots, and much more.
3. Fast check out during a weekend

“While driving home from the h mart, I saw the sign for the Patel brothers grocery. Out of curiosity, I decided to check it out. Beyond the groceries, what caught my attention was the little kiosk with different finger food/appetizers like samosas. There are so many different varieties.
I didn’t recognize other items but definitely the samosa were amazing. Since then I always stop by to get some samosas when visit the H mart next door”
“I have enjoyed seeing this place growing from a much needed Ethiopian store in the Gaithersburg area, to a authentic Ethiopian restaurant. I have enjoy both take out meals and / or dinned in. Wonderful decorated with beautiful Ethiopian paintings in there cozy space , The menu has one of the best Ethiopian meals I have ever enjoyed.
They have a varity of things in the store section. Ranging from Ethiopian clothing, spices, Ethiopian bread, organic honey and so much more. Amazing customer service.

“Hi! I’m a FIRM believer in giving credit when credit is due AND acknowledgement for a GREAT work ethic (very rare these days). VALERIE is quite fantastic. I live in the neighborhood and shop at the New Design Giant quite often. Whether she is checking people out or at the self checkout area, she has always been most helpful and seems to always “go the extra mile” to be of service in any way she can. I SO appreciate this and I’m sure others do too. Like I said, I’m in the store often so to see this consistency and to take notice of it and then prompt me to write a review, well, that should definitely be a sign to management. “I've only been here once but it was exactly what I was looking for. Very authentic and hit the spot. A little expensive if it was for one meal, but the time I saved not attempting to cook this was worth it. I had the beef and potatoes, rice and beans and actually had two meals worth so it was definitely worth it.”

“I shop here every 7-10 days to buy food for my family childcare home. I must include whole grain food on the menu at least once a day. I used to be able to buy Multigrain Cheerios here, but for some reason Aldi (at least this one in Gaithersburg) doesn't carry it anymore. Bummer. I also have a hard time finding the whole grain mini bagels and the WG brown rice that Aldi used to stock all the time. New manager who doesn't find the nutritious benefits from whole grain products?? But I do like the savings I get when shopping here. I feed 7 of us so I rarely have less than a full cart when checking out.”
“I shop at Aldi, but I go to Lidl because have more name brands; a bakery where you can buy fresh croissants, donuts, rolls and breads; a nice selection of imported foods from all over the world; and usually have a big selection of cut flowers and plants. The produce section is extensive and offers more options than Aldi. They also have several aisles of tools, household and garden products similar to what you would have found at Big Lots. I always check the freezer section for amazing treats and imported foods, and typically see something I want to try.”
“This market is highly recommended, It is a very clean store and the owner is very pleasant and corteous with a very nice welcoming his clients. The store carries a variety of international groceries .Thye also serve take out hot food Lebanese style and Persian style. Above all the store is very organaized and deserves a 5 stars rating.”
“For the diaspora living in Maryland, this shop is a cure for homesickness. Here we can get typical Indonesian foodstuffs and dishes. We can even request what we want to make. Every Saturday and Sunday they sell dishes and cakes such as chicken noodles, dumplings, nasi Padang, pempek, meatballs, lemper, croquettes, klepon etc. There is also a small booth that makes food with different menus every week, such as typical Bangka sweet martabak, typical Jakarta gado2, kangkung noodles, etc. You really have to come here because as far as I know this shop is the only Indonesian groceries store in Maryland. Hopefully the shop can be enlarged so it can accommodate more customers.”
“I want to take a moment to sincerely thank the manager and security team at this Giant location. During my visit today, there was an intoxicated man speaking very inappropriately to me in the store. The staff handled the situation with professionalism, kindness, and care.
What meant the most to me was how they repeatedly checked in to make sure I was okay and felt safe. My safety was clearly a priority, and they went above and beyond their job responsibilities to ensure that.
