Even better, I feel good about my money staying in my community. I like that they make loans to my neighbors. I wanted to bank Black, but the Black-owned banks didn't offer the services I needed. Banking locally in Prince George's County is banking, Black, for all practical purposes. I'd rather keep my money here than at some giant corporate bank that survives on taxpayer handouts.”

“I came to the NFCU on Feb 6, 2024. Deposited a tax refund check and experienced a small set back with the image reading through the ATM. The next day I noticed the check was not pending. I called NFCU spoke with several associates and was told that a check had to be reissued. However when I went into the branch and spoke with Ms. Terri Kipp (branch leader). She went above and beyond to make sure I did not have to wait another 7 to 10 business days to receive my funds. I hope management knows she is a real asset to the company.”

When I do go in the reps are always very nice and helpful. Keep in mind the hours are limited but there is another NFCU nearby in Odenton (same shopping area as WEIS, Chesapeake Dental, Transformations gym).”

“This has been my bank for many years now. I actually opened my first account with them in high school. There's something comforting in knowing I'm banking with a federal credit union. I bought my first car and used them for my loan. I've done a lot of big financial life moments with them. They have a few "sister branches" that you can go to if you don't want to go all the way to dc (if you're not a local). The customer service is hit or miss, but for the most part they get the job done. I had one issue with a lady named missy when I was trying to get the title back for my car after paying it off. She was very rude and I ended up calling a manager to get it settled. Other than that situation i like banking with them. The location is beautiful, can't beat being in a senate office building! !”

“Update on the service that I received at the Glenarden branch of Navy Federal Credit Union. I received a call from the Branch Manager Michelle who wanted to reach out to me because I had sent a online complaint. The Manager wanted to know what happened with the member representative Aerial at the branch. I had explained that the member representative stated that she couldn't accept my $10 in coins for deposit and stated that they had to be wrapped. I pointed out that the $10 in coin consisted of $8 in quarters, $1.10 in nickels and .90 in dimes all of which could not be wrapped. The Manager stated that the member service representative said that I didn't want to give the employee the coin and had a change of heart. "This make no sense because I wouldn't drive out of my way to make a deposit and then have a change of heart and then make a complaint". Needless to say the Aerial lied to cover up her incompetence! . The Manager assured me that Navy Federal Credit Union does take coin that can not be wrapped and that the employee has been advised that she was in error for communicating the wrong information. I just wanted to Thank the Manager Michelle for addressing my concerns so quickly!!! .”

“Far and away the easiest place to deposit, store, and withdraw large amounts of cash for considerations, mobile yoga and dance services, and quick real estate transactions, in the entire, and I do mean entire, greater Washington DC metropolis. I would go so far as to say there is no better place on the East Coast for Lobbying. You don't have to have the cash on you for long, ha ha, with 100 muggers across the street and 435 located up around the bend. The bills are a bit new and crispy, but they pack readily into fanny-assed candy a** packs, and the locals are more than happy to help you move these because they sell them back to their own government for more than face value. Don't wander too far by car. Recommend going on foot. to the bay, and renting a speedboat.”
