“McCutcheon's products are legendary throughout the DelMarVaPa area for their quality. I have never had a butter or jelly made by them I didn't enjoy, and they make the best Apple Butter I have ever had. This review is of the retail location. It's a quaint multi room shop, very country/farmhouse in style staffed by very friendly people who know their product well. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the products they sell. I got my Apple Butter along with smaller jars of Apricot, Peach, and Whole Cherry jellies. The hard part will be not opening them before I get home next week. Very highly recommended!”

“Great crunchy grocery store with an attached cafe and community space. Groceries are pricey, as you'd expect for the type of grocery store. They carry many specialty foods and brands. They also have a huge bulk foods section, and a place to buy liquid soap in bulk.
The coffee at the Cafe was just ok but my salmon bagel sandwich was great.”

“Great, GREAT Professional Store to shop at.
Everyone who works here goes above and beyond duty.
Very Pleasant and helpful staff.
Good Prices also.
The Manager has put a work order in to have the parking lot fixed because of the potholes, so please be patient and drive slowly....
Thank You to the Manager and to Everyone who works here.
GOD BLESS EVERYONE ?......”

“Amazing store!! I’m allergic to a lot of things and can’t usually find yummy things to eat at the bigger grocery chains, but mom’s organic market has opened my food options to so much!! The only thing I would wish for is more completely dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free options for things like frozen meals (especially breakfasts) but that is my only note really! Love love love this organic market!!”

“It is one of my favorite new stores to go to for Asian goods and products. They have a variety of things as well as a food court with at least 7 different places. I didn't sit there and count them.”

“I like going here because it brings nostalgia to me of all of the times I would go to the little Asian grocery store with my mom. They are not big. They don't have everything you need. But they have most of the essentials at a fair price. Cool little mom/pop store.”

“A great commissary, not as large as some, but better run than others I've been to. Staff is great: friendly, competent, and helpful. Meat section is particularly good, fresh produce is "hit or miss," so look at what you buy. My only real issue is that the store brand, "Freedom's Choice" is uniformly mediocre...but that's probably a DECA issue, and not this particular store. Otherwise, this store is a reliably great experience.”

“Good selection of natural/organic items. It definitely comes with a price, many things are expensive but you know that going in. Some things are reasonable, bread, glass bottle milk, and bulk items.

One time we did get bulk item and there were bugs in it! We did return it but it’s put us off of using the bulk items. I’m not sure if it’s ever cleaned or checked.

Glass bottle local milk is the best. Bring the glass back for the credit you paid for it. Also really nice selection of chocolates and sweets.

We don’t buy meat there just due to price.
Overall good it is a good specialty store. Cashiers are nice.”

“Great local store. Parking is close to door. Employees are very friendly and helpful. It is becoming my new regular store. Good cheese selection, bread not bad, Fruit and veg usually something new and items on sale. Use to shop at Weis but the employees here are happier and more helpful.”

“Fantastically helpful customer service, as always, with great product selections all around. (Including things I simply don't find elsewhere!)I'm also very grateful for their decision to make a designated clearance section in the back of the store! It's in a very nook-like location, out of the way, making it much more comfortable and convenient to actually browse the marked down items! I love shopping at this location and highly recommend it!”

“The meat here is incredible. I recommend this store to anyone who enjoys clean, quality meat. The representative there was also very helpful and friendly. He knew where everything was and could help me decide on how to cut the lamb I purchased. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you”

“Great Latino market in Walkersville. The cashier went out of her way to open the door for me and my baby who was in a stroller. They have a variety of foods from Mexico and Central American countries. They carry the best corn tortillas you can buy ( El milagro), fresh vegetables, herbs for Latino cooking, and basic staples like milk. So glad to have a Latino market close to Walkersville, Linganore and Thurmont.”

“We love this place! So grateful to have it in our neighborhood. The nicest people working there, especially in the deli and bakery. Couldn’t ask for a better grocery store.”

“Great place to do grocery shopping! Prices are fair, often lower than other grocers and quality is first rate. Friendly efficient staff, self service checkouts are also available. Plenty of parking in a secure location. 5 stars!”

“The Pharmacy is fabulous and always tries to help with cost and give advice- my favorite Pharmacy in my area.
The grocery store unfortunately is one of my least favorite and I only pick up things when I have to go to the pharmacy as the people are not nice and I would rather drive further to get nicer people.”

“Great for organic foods & cheap prices on households. They are constantly changing the household stuff but you can't get most of it anywhere near Aldi prices.”

“The older people are tired most of the time and the younger ones seem to be following too. Other than that, the store usually has professional staff and what I need, besides never having real mens razors like Gillette or Schick, but thats been years and Ive lost hope a long time ago. I’m fine with, not every store is perfect. I just go to Giant to get razors.”

“The Deli staff was quick, friendly and professional. The shelves were stocked. The only drawback is that there was only 1 human cashier. Started out 4th in line; were 7 people waiting when I was done. The cashier was quick but 1 person can only do so much.”

“Enjoy shopping here. Better prices and selection compared to PA so it's worth the trip for most part. Very congested both inside and in parking. Terrible traffic which seems on par with every parking lot in that area. No flow. You'll be tired of people and driving afterwards.”

“Great shop, owner is very nice and personable. When I arrived "late" on a night he closes an hour earlier in winter, he came back so I could pick up my order.Clean, good selection, ask about Polish favorites.”

“This is a small Military Store used by Soldiers and Federal workers. It is a place where the Troops can pick up beverages of all kinds, accouterments for their uniforms, health and beauty products, etc. The staff are always friendly and helpful. It's worth 5 stars, but falls short because of size.”

“Hi! I’m a FIRM believer in giving credit when credit is due AND acknowledgement for a GREAT work ethic (very rare these days). VALERIE is quite fantastic. I live in the neighborhood and shop at the New Design Giant quite often. Whether she is checking people out or at the self checkout area, she has always been most helpful and seems to always “go the extra mile” to be of service in any way she can. I SO appreciate this and I’m sure others do too. Like I said, I’m in the store often so to see this consistency and to take notice of it and then prompt me to write a review, well, that should definitely be a sign to management. Be kind to her and please give her recognition she deserves!! This means a lot to employees - don’t forget that! Thank you Valerie for trying and making a difference!!”

“Weis feels far more connected to the community then any other grocery store. Their meat prices are excellent, prices are in line at least with others. Several workers at mine know shoppers and talk with them.”

“I never tried their food but I heard it's really good and I've been there once and by looking in the inside is amazing. The service is great and when I said hi in Korean and she even responded to me.The ambiance is very wonderful and it's like I've been talking about it all day me wanting to go back again. It showed some kpop bands in items like BTS and other people I know. The H Mart is like the best place that I've ever been to.”

“This location had what I needed and had no difficulty in finding my items in the store.

The only concern was the lack of open and ready to check out lanes that were open, especially when I had fridge and frozen items in my cart. I didn't wait in line too long, but I feel that this location needs to either hire more cashiers or consider setting up a couple of self check out spots for customers.”

“I found pretty much everything I needed, the store was clean, and the prices seem reasonable to me. I have two complaints: I felt cold in there, as if the temperature was set at 69 degrees or something, and, like other places, they didn't have enough human check-out clerks. They had only one. If I'm buying more than about 10 items, I don't want to do it myself, because almost invariably there's some problem. Adding to that, although I don't necessarily count this as a downside, they don't provide bags, unless you want to buy theirs. I knew that, going in, but had forgotten to bring mine. Didn't realize it until I got to check out, but then had time to run to my car and get the bags I keep in there for that purpose. None of that will stop me from going back, as there is more to like than to dislike, and it's a convenient location. In fact, it was my go-to grocery store for years and years.
I should add, for those who care, that the restroom is somewhat strangely located. To get to it, you go through a section where employees work, suggesting it was an afterthought. But it's otherwise fine, and I don't frequently need to use it.”
