“My friend’s car started yelling at us with some random error code, so naturally we Googled nothing, understood even less, and rolled up to Jiffy Lube hoping someone would just… fix the vibes. We definitely came off as two dumb girls with zero car knowledge. Is it the oil? The brakes? Mercury in retrograde? Who knows. Deonte was an actual angel in a Jiffy Lube uniform. He could’ve told us we needed blinker fluid and a flux capacitor and we would’ve nodded and handed over a credit card. But he patiently explained what the error code meant, what needed attention now, and what could wait. 10/10 will be returning the next time a dashboard light blinks and we start spiraling. Big thanks to Deonte and the whole team for not judging us… and not scamming us.”

“We have been taking our cars to Gary and his team for several years now. They have never failed to provide uncomparable service, with fair and clear rates, as well as detailed descriptions of proposed work. And most importantly they keep track of what our car services our car has had done and what it needs and have always kept an open line of communication via phone text and email.
Here's another small but huge thing for me: a few years back my daughter and I were on vacation and had an issue with my car's starter. We were 4 hours away from Preferred but I called them anyway. I spoke to Todd (a dream!) who quickly diagnosed the issue over the phone. Because they keep such accurate records of our vehicle he was able to tell me when that part had last been addressed and explained why it may have been an issue now. He even offered suggestions for how to find a reputable shops for the repair as well as parameters for a fair pricing.
How is THAT for service?
We have referred many friends and neighbors to Preffered and will continue to do so. I cannot say enough good things about them.”

“Our go to for our lexus car oil change and tire rotation with Andrew. They also did our 30k miles routine and bought new tires at 55k miles. A one stop shop indeed. Best price in the area. They are open on some Saturdays for appointment only. Parking can be tough but the service is exceptional!”

He figures out exactly what needs repair, does it perfectly, charges a fair price and never, ever upsells. “Amazing amazing place! Comes highly recommended from folks around NoVa (also Falls Church award program best auto repair shop 2022, 2023, 2025). It’s a family-run business + extra hands on deck. Felix was at a Honda dealership for several years before opening up shop. I came in with a rattling/wobbling car at highway speeds and tire issues, also checking for general issues since my car’s a 2009. All was double-checked, everything I wanted fixed was done well and my car drives so smooth now. I also feel they are honest and trustworthy because not only were fixes only done as I gave permission, but I also called another garage I know to verify their ballpark prices for fixes — they were almost exactly the same as Felix Auto Service’s quote. 10/10 will go back for future care issues”

“Winkler provides EXCELLENT, PROFESSIONAL, HONEST service! It was the ONLY place that ACCURATELY diagnosed and fixed the issues causing my check-engine light to be on and my car to flunk DC inspection. Three other highly rated shops charged me diagnostic fees; one claimed to have fixed the problem (it had not) and the others gave me long lists of supposedly “urgent” repairs that would have cost megabucks and, as it turns out, would NOT have addressed any of the actual problems. Luckily, I called Winkler. Jeff, Winkler’s manager, was incredibly professional, patient and helpful. He immediately questioned the pricey fixes the other shops had pushed and assured me Winkler would get to the bottom of and repair whatever was going on. And it did! As promised, Jeff and his team thoroughly inspected my 2008 Honda Element, found the real culprits (missed by every other shop), repaired everything for a very reasonable price and kept in touch with me every step of the way (so there were no surprise costs at all). The result? My car sailed through inspection and runs better than it has in years. The bottom line: Winkler is the ONLY place that took the time to truly solve the problem, and it did so with integrity, expertise and fairness. I HIGHLY recommend It for outstanding quality, honesty, fair pricing, and professionalism. Winkler is the only place I’ll take my cars from now on!”

“One of my car’s had a dead battery. I thought it was the alternator. I had it towed to this shop. The mechanics, Eddie, was super helpful and called me almost immediately to let me know that it was in fact a corroded battery. He didn’t beat around the bush. He kept it very open about cost (which was fairly priced), and within a few hours of having my car towed to their shop, the car was fixed and we were back on our way. Will definitely recommend this shop to friends and neighbors and use them for future”
“Mark and the team there were SUPER helpful. I stopped in just before 8 pm because a tire I had just replaced somewhere else was having an issue. They fixed it up quickly and also addressed a brake light issue for me, which another mechanic had said would cost me hundreds of dollars to fix! It turned out to be a much simpler fix and they saved me a ton of time and money. Professional, kind, and would highly recommend. Will be bringing my car back here for service for sure.”
