“Had an issue with my online order via the app and called customer service. Only on hold for a minute before I spoke with a very nice lady who immediately gave me the store phone number. Laura at Oxen Hill knew about my order as soon as I gave her the number, confirmed that it was being prepared and adjusted the order quantity for me. Felt like I was dealing with my local hardware store rather than a big box store. Thank you! Can’t wait to finish my project!”

“I love Ace Hardware AdMo in DC and Payne Ave in St. Paul, Minn. In fact I have yet to experience an Ace Hardware I didn’t love. They are knowledgeable, helpful and happy employees making every trip to Ace a happy, fast, fun experience while doing an errand. Who says that about big box stores?”
7934 Fort Hunt Rd, Alexandria VA 22308
“I bought a Weber Spirit E435 from Village Hardware a few weeks back and highly recommend it. Jim and Rick helped me find the right one, delivered it, helped me get everything set up, walkthrough of maintenance, and even hauled my old one away. It was more than you'd hope for and I really appreciate how easy they made it.”

“Logan Hardware is the best hardware store in the country. Period. You will not find a more helpful or more organized staff anywhere else. Also, their inventory is extensive; they always have exactly what I need for anything, home improvement or otherwise. Need lightbulbs? Logan's got em. Need 72 mason jars? Logan. Need a crisp soda on a hot day? Yes, you guessed it, Logan Hardware has it all. My wife teases me about how excited I get whenever I make plans to pay Logan Hardware a visit, but how can you not get excited with such an incredible place!?”

“I had such a great experience at Ace Hardware, all thanks to an employee named Brian! I came in trying to figure out the right materials for a home improvement project, and honestly, I felt a little overwhelmed by all the options. Brian noticed I was struggling and immediately stepped in to help. He was so patient, walking me through the different choices and explaining the pros and cons of each one in a way that actually made sense. He asked good questions about what I was working on so he could point me toward exactly what I needed, instead of just handing me the most expensive option. It was clear he genuinely wanted to make sure I left with the right materials for my project, not just a quick sale. Customer service like this is hard to find these days. Brian went above and beyond, and it turned what could have been a stressful shopping trip into an easy, even enjoyable one. If you're heading to this Ace Hardware and need help, ask for Brian — he clearly knows his stuff and genuinely cares about helping customers get it right. Thank you, Brian, for your patience and expertise! It made all the difference.”

“I love going to the store. They have a lot of great things and the employees there are very excellent and customer service even when I can’t go upstairs someone comes down to help me to make sure I have the right thing I like to thank you👍🏽”

“A hardware store like they used to be! You can get pretty much anything you need here. They also have a plant shop attached. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, I have always had positive experiences and left with everything I needed (and then some ?). This place is a DC classic and I highly recommend it for household needs.”

“Frager's is the best hardware store in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. I only needed a couple of screws & a washer, yet a Frager's staffperson spent as much time seeking the right screws as if I was buying something really expensive.”
1240 Upshur St NW, Washington DC 20011
“The nicest folks. My dog is obsessed and I’ve always been impressed with their customer service. Much more than a hardware store as well. I’m always pleased with how often they have something that I otherwise would’ve bought online.”
1623 17th St NW, Washington DC 20009
“I’ve purchased a ton of paint from this Benjamin Moore and It’s always been a great experience. Their customer service is top-notch and a huge shout out to John in particular! The street was recently blocked off and I had purchased over 20 gallons of paint to pick up. I was able to find parking a few blocks away and John loaded them up in a cart and brought them directly to my car and helped me load them up. Now that is Outstanding customer service and it truly made my day.”

“Just discovered this place today and I’m amazed! Charming, friendly, and both practical and whimsical. My kids could spend hours here and my husband and I are just as entertained browsing. Will definitely be back!”

“The couple times I’ve visited, the staff at Bill’s Ace Hardware has been very knowledgeable and helpful. When the store didn’t have a specific item we were looking for in stock, Sam was very helpful and called a few other stores to check if they had it in stock, and asked them to confirm the item was on the shelf (rather than just in the system). It was much appreciated since it saved us the drive for the store that didn’t have it, and we knew which of the two to go to.”

“The best! Always has the random tool or hardware I need last minute in a panic. Plus key copies and paint! Essential to the neighborhood. Staff is always helpful and friendly”

“Absolutely delightful. Never had such an easy experience shopping at a hardware store. The staff were lighthearted, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed like they enjoyed their work. I was in and out with exactly what I needed in under 5 minutes.”

“I recently revisited after moving away a couple of years ago and had forgotten how much I love the Glover Park Ace. From the outside and when you first walk in, it looks like it's going to be small with limited products, but it's surprisingly large considering its location on Wisconsin. They've used every inch of the space to stock a wide selection of products while keeping it well organized and tidy. I do a lot of home maintenance and home improvement projects and the staff here are awesome - super friendly and always nearby and ready to help.”
9005 Woodyard Rd, Clinton MD 20735
“Wonderfully friendly people. Helped me out with a car key issue that both AutoZone and Advanced Auto Parts couldn't. I tried two instant key maker machines at Safeway and Lowe's which were both unsuccessful and my fix totaled out a low price and no time at all. I should have went here first but, I'm glad I know now because my first visit here will bring me back for sure! Thank you!!!!!”

“My recent visit was made noteworthy by the exemplary service of your staff. Robert assisted me in locating specific components with a level of thoroughness and alacrity that is truly commendable. His expertise ensured that my requirements were met without delay. Additionally, the pleasant demeanor of the front-desk attendant added a layer of genuine hospitality to the experience. It is clear that your team prioritizes both technical proficiency and client satisfaction.”

“It has been awhile since we have been to this wonderful hardware store. It is the same friendly place we remembered back in the 80's. A kind young man named George helped me right away to find an air filter. They were located a way up high so he reached up there to bring 2 down very carefully. Thanks so much George and Cherrydale Hardware store!”

“They are always helpful and very professional and knowledgeable about the different professions. It's far better than sitting in Harry Homeowner/ Home Depot for two hours to get a box of screws lol !”

“I really like Harbor Freight. Good prices and good selection. However they lost a star from me over the last 2 visits. As an insider member I get frustrated when I have to produce a coupon for special insider deals. I give my phone so you know I'm a member. Just give the deal I've gotten 20 messages about that don't include a bar code.”
8228 Richmond Hwy A, Alexandria VA 22309
“I should not be allowed to go to the store I recommend Harbor Freight but do not expect to go for 1 item and walk out with just the 1 item, its more like a 5x or 10x.”
4501 Baltimore Ave, Bladensburg MD 20710

“Quick unloading some drivers say overnight parking ?️ but you might want to call and ask if they have overnight parking because they have a gate so i don’t know if gate closes or not because you don’t want be out of hours at night in this area because is almost impossible to find a place to park in the east coast unless you like getting tickets ? for making new parking spots any where you like ??”

“I love this place! While I hate having the good folks who work here slave over my frequent piddling requests for a matching bolt or two (anyone recall the search for a metric equivalent to a #1 that was 2mm in length?) I always buy my bulk nut and bolt purchases here to compensate. THANK YOU!”
