“Logan Hardware is the best hardware store in the country. Period. You will not find a more helpful or more organized staff anywhere else. Also, their inventory is extensive; they always have exactly what I need for anything, home improvement or otherwise. Need lightbulbs? Logan's got em. Need 72 mason jars? Logan. Need a crisp soda on a hot day? Yes, you guessed it, Logan Hardware has it all. My wife teases me about how excited I get whenever I make plans to pay Logan Hardware a visit, but how can you not get excited with such an incredible place!?”
“Fragers is my go-to hardware store. I am not a DIY person as a routine, and need assistance and guidance when undertaking some house projects. This visit was due to a bathroom vanity that needs repair. The Ace staff helped me match paint colors and gather the tools I would need. One of the stain colors was a bit off (the label showed a different color than the contents) but everything else was perfect.”
“A hardware store like they used to be! You can get pretty much anything you need here. They also have a plant shop attached. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, I have always had positive experiences and left with everything I needed (and then some ?). This place is a DC classic and I highly recommend it for household needs.”
“I’ve purchased a ton of paint from this Benjamin Moore and It’s always been a great experience. Their customer service is top-notch and a huge shout out to John in particular! The street was recently blocked off and I had purchased over 20 gallons of paint to pick up. I was able to find parking a few blocks away and John loaded them up in a cart and brought them directly to my car and helped me load them up. Now that is Outstanding customer service and it truly made my day.”

“The level of customer service here is excellent. I have a retrofitted grooming van with all kinds of custom hoses and fittings. One of them broke and I had a major leak. I explained my problem to Mike and he was able to retrofit a toilet supply line, a hose barb, and clamps to create what I needed. He cut and fitted everything on the spot. I will be coming here for all my hardware needs in the future.”
“I just purchased a Weber grill from Village Hardware during a brief in-store visit. The salesperson was really helpful in process and set up assembly and free delivery for me. I called back to confirm that I would have the needed parts to attach the grill to my natural gas line and was assured that I would.Rick assembled and delivered the grill this morning. He had the extra adapter that I needed for hook-up. He took time to thoroughly explain functions and maintenance and answered all of my questions. He even shared a recipe. “My experience with Ace Hardware is solely from where I grew up in CT. This is a lot different, in a better way (I guess that’s a subjective thought). I was “used to” an unorganized place full of actual hardware from a-z as well as a lot of indoor/outdoor paint and a paint mixer. In short, I was used to Ace hardware being targeted at real handymen in the midst of a project and in need or something very specific.This store is like “a little of everything” for every part of your apartment. It’s walkable from a lot of apartments around here, and it sells all sorts of things you might need in your apartment (you don’t need to be a handyman or hardcore DIY-er to find a bunch of useful things). A huge variety of things you might need in a pinch. Granted, most are really overpriced, but I wouldn’t complain because it’s all about convenience and location. If you complain about the prices, go ahead and drive into Virginia, lose an hour of your day and walk up and down a huge store. Overall, the convenience and variety in this store is worth slightly higher prices. Nice people, as well.”

“This is a small neighborhood hardware store but they keep an impressive array of hardware, tools, paint, garden, and "lifestyle" items for most DIY projects. Where the big box stores are geared to accommodate contractors, Annie's aims for the individual and their residence. Staff is always friendly, the store is well staffed for their size so there's always someone available for questions or assistance. I really appreciate a hardware store that can still operate in the neighborhood without leveling 15 acres. Factoring in my time and general frustration with large box stores, the prices for a quick trip down the street are competitive with other options.”

I always check here first for general hardware supplies. While a small store, they surprise me with the abundant and varied supplies they do have on hand. Their friendly, knowledgable staff are always ready to help.
Today, I suddenly needed spray foam and spare keys. They had both.
Last week I needed window and door insulation, they had it.
Wood stain for furniture? Yep, they got it.
Car ice scraper? Yep, they have it.
I needed a special fuse for my electrical system. They didn’t have it. Nor did I expect them to have it. Yet looked just in case they might have it.
What a great addition to the neighborhood!”

Don't let the name confuse you - they don't just sell door closers (and dam, they have a lot of them) - they carry many security products and low voltage as well as locks.Mike, the sales rep was awesome and was willing to wait for me couple of minutes after closing as I needed an item (that non of the other suppliers in the DMV had in stock locally) to finish a job.Another big plus is that buying from them you support a local business.Thank you guys”

“Quick unloading some drivers say overnight parking ?️ but you might want to call and ask if they have overnight parking because they have a gate so i don’t know if gate closes or not because you don’t want be out of hours at night in this area because is almost impossible to find a place to park in the east coast unless you like getting tickets ? for making new parking spots any where you like ??”

“A Harbor Freight store serving the Alexandria area was needed for a long time. Like any other HF, you will likely find anything at this store as you will at another HF and at great prices. My only complaint about this location is the parking lot, as this shopping plaza was built when the area wasn't so built up. Getting in or out of the lot during rush hour can be a wait, and on the weekends parking can be difficult due to the other businesses.”

“I placed an online order for a grill to be assembled in store and picked up so that my family could enjoy a cookout on mothers day. Unfortunately when the grill was picked up by a contractor of mine and delivered to my house, I noticed that the grill was assembled incorrectly and was also missing pieces. I contacted the store and asked to speak with a manager. Without hesitation I was transferred right away. The manager that came to the phone was Davion (Operations Manager) Davion listened to my situation, apologized for the inconvenience and immediately jumped in to action in efforts to turn my a bad situation into a positive guest experience. Talking about going above and beyond to ensure a customer is taken care of. Davion made sure that a brand new grill was assembled and delivered to my house within hours allowing my family to enjoy mothers day with out missing a beat. This was even more special because my grandmother is 97 years old and everyday is important to our family. This is a prime example of what outstanding guest service looks like.
