City Tails Pet Grooming
20 Tremont St, BrightonI’ve been bringing my dog here for a few years and they have been consistently wonderful. They are so gentle and caring with him, and he’s always relaxed and happy in their hands. Every groom looks great, and they work efficiently without ever feeling rushed. Their prices for a full wash and groom are very fair, and the kindness they show every visit means so much.

Happy Pet Care
151 Sutherland Rd, Brighton100% recommend for local cat owners! So much more affordable than boarding and it was so great to know that my cat was well taken care of at home while I was out of town.

Big Dog Walkin'
162 Chestnut Hill Ave, BrightonI have been taking my dog to BDW for several years and they have always taken great care of him. Having this resource in my neighborhood makes it feel like a community. We mainly use the slumber party service and it makes me happy to know he isn't holed up in a crate while I'm away.

From Scratch-Authentic Italian Pizzeria
2 Tremont St, BrightonWow! I don’t have words. My dish had wonderful bold rich flavors that I couldn’t get enough of and the dessert I would have eaten seconds and thirds. This place truly is from scratch. My nephew brought us here for a early dinner and I can’t thank him enough. It’s a local family place with lots of love and passion that goes into there food. From the husband in the kitchen preparing these amazing dishes to his wife and daughter taking care of the guests. Highly recommended.

Ziggy's
583 Washington St, BrightonThe pizza was very good quality. The fact that it was thin crust brought out the flavor of the pizza sauce, which was exceptional. I ordered two slices and an iced tea. After I paid, I wanted to switch to water, so he gave me back the difference. I wouldn't have known, so I really appreciated the honesty. Nothing better than that, so I'll be due for a return visit. Thank you, Ziggy's!

The Stockyard Restaurant
135 Market St, BrightonPlace had always been more solid than the downtown spots. Recently my server hooked up up with extra olives in my martini without asking. I’m in love.

Tasca Restaurant
1612 Commonwealth Ave, BrightonTasca delivered an incredible dining experience from start to finish. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The paella was outstanding—perfectly cooked. The oxtail was incredibly tender and full of deep, savory flavor, while the rabbit and duck were both cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully.
The wings were crispy, flavorful, and a great starter. The lamb meatballs were juicy and delicious, and the lamb chops were perfectly cooked with amazing seasoning. Every plate was thoughtfully prepared, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.
The service was attentive, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the entire meal exceeded expectations. If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality food with a menu full of standout dishes, Tasca is absolutely worth visiting. I can’t wait to come back and try even more from the menu. Highly recommend!

Notch Brewery & Tap Room - Brighton
525 Western Ave, BrightonGreat beers! They love to specialize in European style beers. I’m a huge fan of their Czech pilsner. It’s a good Biergarten to meet up with friends and grab some drinks.

Pavement Coffeehouse - Brighton
415 Western Ave, BrightonReally nice coffee shop! Plenty of parking, with a decent amount of space inside, though all the tables were taken on a Saturday morning. But still got my coffee pretty quick and sat outside which was nice. The cappuccino and the pain au chocolat were both very good!

Yamato
117 Chiswick Rd, BrightonGood all you can eat sushi restaurant. The rice to fish ratio isn’t as good as normal restaurants, so I do recommend going for dinner and getting sashimi, and just adding the amount of rice you want.
The restaurant now takes orders on tablets, which leads to more accurate orders.
They usually accommodate allergies well. They had gluten free soy sauce, though I do not think they are a gluten free establishment.
Street parking is parallel and can be hard to find. You may have to drive a few roads down to park, and walk back to the restaurant.

The Cat Connection
167 Chestnut Hill Ave, BrightonMy partner and I adopted a yin-and-yang pair of short-haired sisters from Cat Connection about 4 months ago after learning about them via a referral. They were in good health, spayed, shots, no diseases and are thriving now at home. We are so delighted with them every day. When we adopted them it was easy and the staff at Cat Connection were helpful and friendly. I think back fondly on their adoption and it prompted me to write a late review.

Gifford Cat Shelter
30 Undine Rd, BrightonThis was where I adopted my cat 10 years ago! We definitely made the right choice in adopting him.
Assuming the rules have stayed the same, if you want a kitten you have to get 2 so that they keep each other company.
No kill shelter! Staff lovingly care for the cats
