“We have been using Tricon for a few years. I work with Matt Keough and I always have a wonderful experience with him. They are always extremely attentive to my requests. The quality of the apparel is top-notch and the design is exactly what I expect. I am always impressed with the quick turnaround time and the competitive pricing. The customer service is excellent and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Tricon to anyone looking for high-quality, custom apparel.”
“You know a store cares about its customers when it’s willing to make right wrongs they didn’t create.
I purchased a new luxe and had out of box issues that made it inoperable. Instead of making me go through the DLX customer service the store offered me the ability to choose any similar priced gun in replacement. Without giving details, it was more than a fair deal. Needless to say, that type of exchange for a lemon of a gun is enough for 5 stars… but there’s even more!
They managed to get the luxe fixed with parts that weren’t available yet to public and offered me the ability to purchase it. To remember my request and then follow through on it is a testimony to their customer service and care.
Lastly, their gun tech on hand does an excellent job of not only fixing issues but documenting them and walking you through what he did. For people who want to maintain markers at home and make sure things don’t get broken again this is invaluable. Especially on older markers like an Ego 11, Empire Axe and Empire Vanquish.
Got a customer for life and it’s to my benefit!”
“Friendly workers. Running shoes, clothing, and gear are all high quality.I give 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons. Mainly, there is no info on the shoes on the wall display. The Boston and Brookline locations list things like the model, stack height, and drop right next to the shoe. Cambridge really needs to do this.Secondly, the 3 shoes initially brought out didn’t match my foot scan at all. It was odd. But I did find a pair of Nikes I liked and was able to order them from Nike directly in the width I need. Note that width options are limited in most running stores. So I don’t fault Marathon sports for not carrying the wide.”
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Dan a few times. He managed to repair her stick twice with a turnaround immediately and when it was time for a new stick he worked with us to find the perfect stick. Very knowledgeable about anything lacrosse and very personable to chat with”
“Rented skis boots and poles for 5 days for $115! They have good clothes and socks in stock. The workers are super relaxed but also diligent. I would definitely recommend renting here or shopping for some things, though the store is kind of small. If you need some ski pants or socks they definitely have a lot of those things.”
“Phenomenal store with world class staff and equipment. Rich helped me and my son with new goalie equipment and he was terrific. Super knowledgeable and patient. Best hockey store around!!”
“Great selection of gear plus friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices are high but appropriate for the top-of-the line equipment they sell. Tip: go at the end of a season for sale prices.Mitch was awesome! He had expert knowledge of the equipment and was friendly and easy to work with. He also had admirable patience with my intermediate skier girlfriend who had a million questions about buying equipment for the first time. Give this guy a raise!”
“Excellent, knowledgeable staff. They take time and care to explain the products and how to best use, launder, etc all of the products. They host thought -provoking and informative events and serve the community in myriad ways. Their product quality, repair services, and sustainable practices enhance the value of every purchase.”

“This store is really worth five stars, the only reason I gave it four stars is it’s just a bit expensive for me, but if you need anything hiking snowboarding, outdoor clothes, jackets, pants, hats, backpacks really nice stuff they have it all they really do they have basically want Marshalls and TJ Maxx has plus a bunch of other stuff. I’m gonna keep this short. I would recommend this place to anybody!”
“They sold us non-matching skis. We went back with the receipt 3 weeks later and they refused to take them back because they were a matching set. At the end of the season they again refused them because the skis didn’t match. We never used them.
Update: the manager and I had a discussion and they’ve agreed to give us store credit. I’m happy with the overall outcome.”
“This place is great! Perfect for all ages! There’s at least 15 Lanes, I don’t know exactly, I just left for the first time. I’d recommend it to anyone! Weather your age 5-15ish they have slow speed pitching machines, also baseball pitching machines that probably go at least 80-85mph. BOOK AHEAD OF TIME! You’ll be way better off booking early because it does fill up on weekends, today I went with my niece, and I booked 1 hour. It’s $50 for 1 hour. Go and have a blast!”
“I couldn't recommend Fast Splits enough! Yesterday I worked with Linda on a wetsuit fitting for an upcoming triathlon I am doing on Lake Michigan. Linda is fantastic and I truly had a personalized experience! I haven't worn a wetsuit in the open water before. She took the time to teach me the wetsuit basics, fit me, made sure I felt comfortable in the suit including taking it on and off, and taught me about wetsuit maintenance. I could truly see her passion in what she does and I am grateful for all the time she spent with me. I am confident I now have an investment piece for years to come and I'm very excited about getting more into open water swimming now that I have the appropriate gear and education! Thank you Linda and Fast Splits! This is the place to go for all your multisport needs!”
“While they didn't have what I was looking for (replacement gunwales for an old Mad River Canoe), Marc very promptly answered all my questions, gave me a bunch of good advice and redirected me to other shops in the area that might have what I needed. This was over several emails where it would have been very easy for him to just ignore me.
Once I get this canoe repaired, I'll be happily shopping here for any accessories that I need.”
“WOW! What a great place to shop! And where do I even begin with Thomas! He was so helpful and friendly to me, really hope management realizes how great of a job he's doing!”

“I live in Connecticut and our Patagonia location recently closed. While visiting Boston I decided to walk in and ask about some wear and tear on my decade old nano puff jacket. Knowing I’d be without a jacket on a cold night if I sent it in for repairs, the team kindly offered to swap it out for me and send me on my way in a brand new jacket. They confirmed my old jacket would be donated. I’m so glad I invested in a Patagonia jacket and I’m grateful for the amazing staff at this location.”
“Great customer service experience! I was greeted by multiple people on the way in, and a great sales associate helped me to find what I wanted! And I love my shoes -- I would definitely go back next time I need gear!”
“It was my first time at Marathon sports today, and I was completely blown away by their service. John really took care of me and was very knowledgeable. I understand now why I was recommended this place. No other businesses compare.”

“Hilton's Tent City in Central Square, Cambridge, is a hidden gem that deserves all five stars! This great little store boasts a team of helpful and knowledgeable workers who go above and beyond to assist customers. One of the standout features of Hilton's is their frequent discounts, making their prices often more affordable than big-box retailers like REI or Patagonia. This makes it a go-to spot for budget-conscious shoppers without compromising on quality.Speaking of quality, the recommendations and product selection at Hilton's are unparalleled. I recently purchased a pair of shorts based on their recommendation, and I must say, I'm thrilled with my purchase. The shorts are not only stylish but also durable, ensuring they'll last me a long time.If you're in Central Square and in need of outdoor gear or apparel, Hilton's Tent City is the place to go. You'll receive top-notch service, great prices, and quality products that won't disappoint. Highly recommended!”
“This was my 1st time with Oriental Gateway & it will NOT be my last. I ordered my 1st Black Belt "Pr Force" uniform with the Tang Soo Do midnight blue trim. The lady helped me verify I was ordering the correct size--she was right!--. She did warn me that I would have to wait because it had been very busy. It was not only worth the wait but they made sure I received my uniform before the tournament where I needed to wear it. Thank you, Oriental Gateway! You're great! I'll be back again!!!”
“Jon is very knowledgeable and has a great selection of racquets and gear. He’s very direct which I like. Has strung my racquets for at least 10 years. Support businesses like this one if you want expert help.”
“The staff here are unfailingly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It’s always a pleasure to come to this store. They’re never pushing their products and they’re not snobs about their gear. It’s not what you’d expect! It’s better!”
“incredivle service! Diana, the sales associate was so perfect with my 4 yo son as he picked out his first pair of soccer cleats! she raced him around the store and got him so excited! that kind of personalized customer service was exactly what small business is all about! thanks Diana for getting him psyched!”
“Unbeatable quality and supreme attention to detail. Owner Mark Doherty and the entire staff know everything there is to know about supplying the hockey player in your life, boy or girl, kid or adult. Go to the best there is at Dynamik Sports. You won't regret it!”
“Love this place. For someone like myself who always has questions, it's great to be able to ask someone knowledgable about the products. Also their prices are almost always less expensive than Amazon. Something you very rarely hear anymore these days.”

“I love this skate shop! Craig is such a professional. He really knows his craft. My daughter recent got a new pair of edea ice fly skates and a new pair of Gold seal John Wilson Revolution blades at another location and needed her blade mount adjusted. Craig got us right in and adjusted her mount perfectly, efficiently and accurately. Her left skate feels so much better now. Thank you so much Craig!! We will be returning to your shop again soon. I highly recommend this place and Craig!”
“Steve killed it today. I showed up at 11am on a Tuesday and the store was busy for a midweek day. Nonetheless Steve picked the ideal set of options for me in minutes and the first one was the winner. Walked out 30 minutes later with the most comfy shoes I’ve ever run in. Wallet was a bit lighter though :)”
