“Not a big 'supermarket', but they have the essentials. They have some really good meat & deli products such as marinated meats, deli meats & cheeses, a nice selection of greeting cards, some local merchandise, etc. They also carry a large selection of beer and wines.There's also a full-service Post Office counter in the store, so that's a plus too. It's nice to have a local market, especially one that has a really GREAT owner/operator. Carlos is a very personable and very accommodating local store owner! Just what a small town like Paxton needs.”
“Premium quality Mediterranean market with a nice selection of prepared foods, refrigerated and frozen items, olives, olive oil, pastas, breads, cheeses, spices, fine wines and desserts. Convenient parking next to the store and physically handicapped accessible (ramp). A wonderful complementary market to nearby Bahnan’s (that is more focused on Middle Eastern foods).”
“Lots of choices of authentic polish specialties. Many fresh made items including breads and pastries. English seems to be a second language for many staff, but we worked it out. Store was very crowded with customers, but everyone was polite, patient and waited their turn at the counter.”
“This store is absolutely one of the cleanest grocery store! I mainly drop in for the freshly made soups and chili/especially the chili. The selections for ready made dinners are fantastic with a large variety to chose. I never do a complete shop there because it's out of my price range. But the chili and soups are Mmmm! and I never had a bad ready made meal. So Thank you cleaning staff and the entire work force...you folks are on the ball?”
“We have been to their butcher shop multiple times in the last few months and all of our experiences have been top notch. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about everything they sell. I asked for help in cooking a prime rib for my family and it was perfect!! I have asked for suggestions on other poultry and pork alike and have not been disappointed. It feels comfortable when you walk in by how u are greeted by staff. They are attentive to their customers by being engaging in conversation about what they are looking for today and how can they help you. We also go to their Deli that serves Boars Head products! They are also very friendly and eager to help you with anything you want. We order ahead as we travel from Hudson to W Boylston to go to S&S ! It's so yummy and my family will continue to shop here. The stores are both bright and clean! I'm impressed! Want to come to the Hudson/Berlin area!! Thank you for such great service and food!!”

“Well, where do we start? Downtown Worcester has had a decreasing number of options for grocery shopping. This is true especially for those with limited budget. There is one good steadfast exception however, and that is Gala Foods. This is a nice little market that ticks many boxes. It's proximity to both Downtown as well as other peripheral neighborhoods. It's also very affordable and offers many options for a range of shoppers. The fresh food section is excellent and has options you won't find in those main stream stores that aren't so close by. This makes Gala a win for Worcester and it's diverse residents.”
“Friendly and helpful staff, delicious coffee, super fresh doughnuts, muffins, and other hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. Got 2 coffees and 2 doughnuts for $5 and some change, very happy!”

“This store was better than I expected. I have visited the Goldstar Blvd location and was less than impressed there. The staff were helpful and pleasant with finding things I was looking for and found someone who could understand me better when it was needed. They didn't have everything I was looking for though. Their prices were pretty good. You will need your own bags or pay for theirs. The self check out noticed the weight of my empty bags when I put them down while paying. The store was nicer looking inside than I was expecting and well stocked with what they did have.”
“They had more vegan options than I thought they would, and several that I hadn't seen elsewhere. We recently moved to the area so despite it being more expensive than Market Basket, this will be our new regular grocery store. (The nearby Price Chopper may do in a pinch, but just isnt as nice inside.)”
“Great little local spot. They have everything you need in a pinch. Obviously, you're not doing your grocery shopping here, but if you need something quick, whether it's a prepared meal, deli meats, marinated meats to cook for an emergency family gathering (speaking from experience) beer, etc. they have you covered.”

“You can find almost everything there. Just don't buy their fruit!!! Bought a precut watermelon and when I brought it home to eat it, it was like biting into the sole of a shoe!! No lie. The rest of the fruit I bought was like eating a sponge. Other than that, the rest of the things I bought were ok. I will never buy any type of fruit from them.”
“I went to the grocery store for my first time and had an excellent experience. I went in the middle of the day in the parking lot had plenty of space. I entered the trailer and was still able to find a few spots where I could park upon entering everything was festive and Set up for the holidays. Everyone was extremely friendly and all the shelves were stocked properly. Not a single complaint.”

“I have been to stores that sell Vietnamese products, but there is a general situation that fresh seafood is very unhygienic because it is not stored in a glass cabinet, the store has a very smelly smell. When I go to buy food, I feel that the store is not hygienic. It is recommended that the manager should put fresh seafood for sale in a glass cabinet to ensure hygiene, especially seafood products. The 3rd time I came here on a Sunday and found the store smells too bad, the rice place is very dirty and unhygienic.”

“Delicious fish and chips and this time We tried the platter! Yum!! Fresh and well cooked!!! I don’t know if they forgot the coleslaw or it’s different now but We ordered 4 dishes: 2 fish and chips and 2 platters and we didn’t get any coleslaw. I will ask next time because this was unexpected. That’s my reason for the 4 stars”
“Awesome place, owner is a great guy and they have a larger variety ranging from Spanish foods to toiletries. If you need anything chances are they have it! Hours are convenient for people who need to get something early or grab something late u forgot!. And they are still open Incase the previous reviewer made an honest mistake . They are still right on Belmont st Worceste, just names changes to three Js”

They have amazing customer service and get to know their regulars well! “Today was an extremely hard day at the office for many of my staff. (local medical office) We called last minute to order some pizzas and explained this to the person at the pizza shop, they spoke with the manager to get approval to take a last minute order. They were able to accommodate us and we are most appreciative! This truly helped our staff moral and I can not thank the staff and management at the pizza shop enough for making an awful day a little more bearable!”

“They have the best prices. They don't have a lot of brand names or different items. I go and get all my basics there. They have the best prices for napkins , paper plates & paper towels & toilet paper. Better than Walmart, which is where I used to go. I noticed today that quite a few items were lowered.
