“One of the smaller Ace Hardware's I've been to but it's definitely one of the better ones. The staff are always friendly and they know their store layout very well. They always point me in the right direction no matter how obscure of an item I need.”

“HF is my prime source for tools that I need now and probably won't use regularly. Nobody beats them at this game.
On the other hand, they won't replace DeWalt or Snap On for the professional contractor or auto technician. HF's niche is selling tools that work acceptably well at a very low price.
They also sell some tools of moderate to moderately high quality. These, too, are value priced relative to their quality.
On the downside, you'll typically pay extra for warranties beyond 90 days. But that doesn't matter if you'll only use the tool once, and especially if the price is so low you can buy it multiple times and still come in cheaper than the competition. HF prices often are that good. Definitely worth checking them out next time you NEED a tool to finish a job.”
“I’ve really had the best experience at this store. I’ve visited a half dozen times over the last year. They have a great selection- and the staff is nice and helpful. This last time- a lady helped me- I came in about a half hour before close. I have to drive an hour to get there- and traffic isn’t always kind. She helped me get the right coating_ and introduced me to carbide tools.I appreciate being treated well- and I love my new hobby. No amount of online shopping can replace when you get from visiting a brick and mortar store with knowledgeable staff that love the hobby.Within the first few days - I’ve already sold 2 pens, and the lady wants 3 more. Was looking for a particular item but the only one they had was the display. It was marked for sale at a discount, and they sold it to me at an even larger discount since the regular item was on sale. They even carried it out to my car for me and loaded it in. Great customer service.”

“Was helping daughter in GR do some projects around the house. First place i go to in any city is Ace. Nice to find this one not too far from her home. They had everything we needed from caulk, concrete patch, replacement bulbs for landscape lighting and picture hanging hardware. One stop shop. Helpful people always, professional. Always highly recommend Ace over big box stores.”

“Not Lowe's fault however their lumber and all lumber everywhere is under sized. Example...I needed a 1x8 random length. Thier sizes were between 5/8-3/4 x7 1/4. The only true size they carry is synthetic and steps. With that said the customer service is 5 star and willingness to help keeps me coming back”

“Rented the 11 pound demolition hammer, worked great at removing 2x2 ceramic tiles from my fireplace hearth. Previous owner set them with concrete…I tried using a chisel but it took forever to just get one up. Hammer removed them in 2 hours. Big mess but definitely worth it. Need some muscle! Service was excellent, cost about $ 50.”
