“A local favorite. This is a regular stop for me at least 1-3 times a week, I love the staff and the selection & quality. Almost Always something new you can try ! Delicious glumkis made by the order. Support local!”
“I go there to shop for groceries for my in-laws. When I come out to visit, things are very easy to find. I do get their fried Chicken at their deli area and that's always tastes good”
“Feels massive compared to the other one in town. Wider aisles make it easier to stay somewhat distanced while shopping.
A year later, and I love how open this one feels still. Shelves are almost fully stocked each time I come in (which is also more of a what shipments they get in issue than a them issue).”
“Bought 1/2 beef from Ruehs Family Farm and they use Jerome Market for the processing. I had a great experience from both. The processing and packaging are very nice and the meat is fantastic!”

“My Husband and I have recently become familiar with Aldi and do approximately 95% of our weekly shopping there now. Its been so great for our family from a budget standpoint, but the food is also great! I have yet to be upset by anything we've purchased. Also, the store itself is so clean and easy to navigate. I also love the multiple options for self-checkout. We're working hard to do even more of our shopping there!”
“Really old store. But they keep it clean. Reminds me of the old east side kroger. Prices are okay. No self checkouts which sometimes can cause problems if it's busy. Some employees get annoyed if you use EBT cards (I do sometimes for someone I take care of). Plus side here is that Polly's is local, has alot of carts, bottle return, good produce and stock.
Parnell Rd store has selfcheckouts and it's been proven to make lines go faster. Please please Please give this store and vandercook self checkout. It needs to be done!”
“One can only imagine what it was like in Europe in the old days, where people went to the market, to buy foods a few times a week, as well as socializing with friends, neighbors, and children's parents. Covid has done a lot towards keeping us isolated. A repose from sitting and watching TV, is a run up to Polly's for Deli Lunchmeat, cheeses, Ora fresh baked cake. During my girls childhood, for 20 years I always ordered their birthday Cakes from Polly's, on Ferguson Road. What was so special? One could order Disney Characters on the cake, my daughter's favorite photo, a creamy whipped topping that wasn't terribly sweet. Much of the rest of the store allotted space for new or traditional world wide cuisine. It always had unique items. My younger daughter, whilst in her teens, refused to eat sandwiches without sprouts. Polly's, had them when no one else did. What more can I say? The best thing is to get off the couch in this icy cold weather, and take a trip to one of three Polly's locations.”

“Love this little stop. Every time my wife and I go to Brooklyn,MI either for MIS or just to go for a drive we stop here for cookies, muffins and drinks. Great little gas station with great snacks.”
“First time visiting this location and it was clean and well stocked which I've noticed is the norm across all Meijer locations. Easy in and out after grabbing what I needed!”
“Wayyyyyyy better than the Michigan center one. The one in Michigan center is a dump with no air conditioning and falling apart building and shelves. This one is clean, well stocked and has AC lol. And is near the Michigan center one. Might as well close the one in center and expand this one into a dollar general market like the one in Marshall.”
“We shopped here while on a vacation in Brooklyn, MI (Wampler's Lake). Bakery is pricey, and they could definitely stock more organic produce. The deli had some nice selections. I'm used to self checkout so going through the reg. checkout is a culture shock! If you sign up for rewards you get coupons at the checkout but make sure you tap on the "rewards" tab to get $1 off your total (which I did two different times). In the end it's the only market in town, so you have to be prepared to spend a bit more.”
“Don't judge a book by its cover. While it's a very old Polly's store and small the employees here are extremely friendly and they have a ton of stuff to offer. Prices are very good. I really like this particular Polly's. I'd go here over Meijer or Walmart anytime.”
“Since the remodel, it is very cramped and it difficult to find what you’re looking for. There are also a lot of carts and broken down boxes in the middle of a few aisles which make it even more difficult to navigate around the store. Other than that, I’ve been coming here since it was built and it’s very convenient”
“This is my go to store for the last nine years
Very friendly staff and I’m always in and out
Prices are decent on their fuel, especially if you use their card and fill up before you can save up to seven cents per gallon”
“I mistakenly left my change in the store recently. Im very thankful for the help I received by a very professional, very pleasant Miss Kassie Sheaffer who made sure I got my money back. Thank you so much young lady?”
“DG's are fairly interchangeable. This offers almost everything that any other DG offers with one big exception, they don't sell alcohol. So I am giving them an extra star for not having that garbage domestic beer advertised all over the building.
Never had a bad interaction with the staff. Relatively clean and stocked. If you need to grab some necessities quickly it's one of the better DG's in the area.”
“I had a great experience with Ashley
She went over and beyond and offered phenomenal customer service. This world needs more Ashley’s.
Thanks again for giving top notch service when I visited this store”
“Not every dollar general is the same. I will say that have more on the shelves than others do. The bigger ones have more items than the smaller ones but prices are the same. The staff is still the same nice and helpful.”
“I usually go to Dollar general for a quick trip when I need a few items but I always buy my toilet paper from here and the dollar general brand is way better than Charmin or Northern quilted if you get the right package.”
“Nice to have around for convenience. However this location should have 2 people running the registers at all time. There seems to always be a line at checkout. Plan on adding an extra 10-15 minutes of waiting to be checked out.”
“I was in the south side DG this afternoon (2/6/24) and whoever the young man working the register was deserves a promotion immediately. Wish I had caught his name, but he had excellent customer service skills, and just had that positive energy. Give him a raise and promotion immediately! I would return to this location just for the vibes.”
“I was driving by this DG and I thought I'd go inside to pick up a few things instead of driving into Michigan Center. It was fairly clean. The checkout employee was friendly. However, the greeting card selection was dismal. I don't think I've ever seen so many empty slots--but I found everything else.”
