βA few months ago I closed out my old bank account & decided to open up a new one with citizens & I have to say Iβm very impressed with the customer service & easy set up of my new account I came in a few weeks ago and made a deposit with Elise and she was very friendly :) I enjoyed speaking with her & she answered all of my questions concerning deposits, withdrawls and the ATM process. I didnβt know you could make a check deposit at the ATM now you learn something new everyday. I like this location itβs close to home and itβs very big and spacious!

βGreatest little credit union out there. They definitely stand out where most dont. The majority of the staff at this branch are bilingual(Spanish) and they really do have an eye out for YOUR best interest. If you stop by you must go directly to the legend himself, Raymon Sanchez with his 10/10 service. He definitely went way above and beyond. Couldn't be happier with the service and overall experience with this credit union. They definitely have that small town home feel. They definitely dont see you like just another number on a sheet. They were able to work with my situation and didn't quit when most would have. I simply can't recommend them enough. Thanks guys!!β

So if thatβs the reason youβre thinking about joining this bank, do yourself a favor and donβt.*update: Jessica Sionni, office of the chairman, remedied the situation when i went to close my account due to the above circumstances and she was extremely polite and helpful, unlike the first representative I spoke with. I did eventually end up receiving my $300.adjusting my rating from 1 to 4 stars, as the original customer service representative experience, time wasted, stress and frustration are still taken into account - would be narrow minded to base a company off of one employee though, and I respect upper management following through without me ever having to reach out again.Jessica is the only reason iβm still a member of this bank, though, and will now remain a *happy* and loyal customer. Valuable employee - so valuable I went out of my way to change this rating to reflect how much she improved my overall experience with this bank and if I was solely rating her it would be five stars (I donβt typically write reviews unless itβs amazing or terrible and although this experience/review started off terrible, if it werenβt for Jessica, it wouldβve stayed that way and I am very appreciative)If youβre doing a promotion though, I highly suggest you call Citizenβs and ask every month if youβve done what youβve needed to receive that, and *record the conversation* because i was misinformed that I had completed what was needed when I called one month in to the promotion, when that was not the case. βService is always good, friendly & helpful but the walk-in ATM is right on the busy street with people constantly walking by which is a bit unnerving. Additionally if you have to go into the bank, you have to park in the back and walk around the corner to get to the front. But it is about the only branch left near me in Detroit. I donβt think they care about Detroit accounts, so I may have to make some changes. ?β

βInteresting. Super high security. Buzz in sections to screen for weapons. Delayed entry. Everyone is behind locked compartments and cubicles. Makes me wonder if i am safe in the parking lot and entrance/ exit. Otherwise the employees were pleasant.β
