“Mark’s Market is honestly one of my favorite stops! They have everything — BuzzBallz, liquor, beer, wine, candy, chips, ice cream, and all the snacks you could ever want. It’s the kind of place where you walk in for one thing and end up grabbing a few extras because the selection is so good.
The store is always clean, well-stocked, and easy to find what you’re looking for. And the workers are super friendly — they greet you, help you out if you can’t find something, and make the whole experience quick and easy. You can tell they actually care about the customers.
Whether you’re grabbing a drink, stocking up on snacks, or just stopping by for something quick, Mark’s Market has you covered. Definitely a great neighborhood spot!”

I've only been inside a couple of times, and always received service with a smile, and the owner was kind enough to give me the history of his store, and he trained his young workers well. VERY COURTEOUS. I recommend this store to any and everyone. And not very pricy. I bought some items from his store, and googled it to see the price in other stores, and I was so shocked at the huge difference. I will buy from them very often. This is hands-down one of the most unique cultural spaces in Detroit. Liquor Basket x Push Gallery is a one-of-a-kind destination that combines a neighborhood business with a powerful artistic mission. Even though I don’t personally drink, I visited to explore the art—and I was absolutely inspired by what I saw.
The gallery, led by Detroit artist Dominick Lemonious, creates a platform for local creatives to shine. The exhibits are bold, thought-provoking, and deeply rooted in Detroit’s identity. It’s clear this space is about more than just aesthetics—it’s about storytelling, community, and honoring Black Detroit voices through visual art.
Their current exhibition “Community First” features a range of talented artists whose work captures the spirit and resilience of the city. It’s welcoming, meaningful, and something everyone—no matter your background—can appreciate.

“The hot food here is priced very reasonably and delicious. Some of the men behind the liquor/store counter can be rather grumpy and snippy for no good reason. The man who cooks the food and occasionally behind the glass at the register is very pleasant and usually very nice. I recommend the food here for certain. They have an ATM that is under 3$ to use and has 20s and 5$ bills so if you press other at the ATM you can withdraw in increments of 5$”

“Arguably the busiest/quickest service gas station/convenience store in the area. Wide selection of beverages and snacks to chose from. I love the selection of tobacco products the store carries. Also the man behind the counter is one of the most friendly people you can ever meet he goes by the name of "Jack" everyone seems to know the man behind the counter referring to the place as "jacks" instead of the name "Sunoco". I had to try this place out for the fresh daily made subs and I also recommend you try the Italian sub it is my favorite and has become a daily lunch for me as it is not to pricey and amazing quality! My co workers were the reason I chose this place and and boy were they right about this hidden gem. I definitely recommend this place to everyone that is in the area. Fast and extremely friendly service and good deals especially for a pricey area in downtown Detroit. Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00-9:00 Saturday 9-around 6 Sunday closed.”
