“I always shop here when I need hardware for any project. Ace has never failed me as a hardware store. They have everything from screws, to mowers, to garden hoses. They have every bolt and nut you can think of in metric and standard. Surprisingly they also have decent snacks here. I would give this hardware store a 10 out of 10. They are like a mini Home Depot.”

“It is always a pleasant experience shopping here. There is always a good selection of goods to choose from the the prices are competitive.Sadly, I had a bad experience with their curb side pickup. We needed a heated animal feed bowl so ordered online for curbside pickup. It went fine except that the unit was cracked and unusable. It did not come in a box so the store employee should have seen that it was cracked and non-serviceable so I was disappointed in that respect. But we needed a serviceable unit RIGHT NOW for the animals on this sub-zero weather. We called in and arranged to get a replacement. The only problem was it was closing time in ten minutes. When I realized the problem we immediately turned the car around and were already heading back to the store. Not good enough. The girl on the phone said closing time was closing time and that was final. I said that was unacceptable. She did not ask how much time we were talking about, just closing meant closing. I told here this meant a bad review. She replied that I didn't need to be "unkind."This is a lack of customer relations understanding. It is not about the store. It is about the customer. I can see not accommodating 20 minutes beyond closing. I was talking about 10 minutes. But she did not ask about the time. But worse, I was being "unkind" in exercising my judgement as to what was reasonable. Maybe I was being unreasonable to ask for 10 minutes (which I did not get the chance to say). I will leave that up to the reader.”

“I run a light industrial shop down the road from this place. In the middle of a rush job on a Friday afternoon, a critical motor in my shop failed and I had that sinking feeling that comes before a long and painful wait for parts. To my surprise these guys had my replacement motor in stock for cheaper than I could find it online. Within a half hour I was back up and running. This is now my electric motor source. Thanks guys!”

“I showed up thinking they would point me in the right direction for the stripped out screw head for my oscillator. Instead they ended removing the stripped screw for me and helped me find a replacement. Even more grateful considering the employee cut himself in the process trying to get the old screw out.I felt the least I could do is right my first review ever and hope that his knuckles are feeling better. They definitely went way beyond what I was looking for. I can't recommend Ace hardware in Pinckney enough”

“Bouncing my star rating up again because I've had a lot of success with Lowe's so far this summer. From picking up to some really lovely flowers and hanging baskets for my garden this year to getting supplies I needed for a DIY container water garden/pond I've had a lot of luck here. They don't have a HUGE selection of water garden/pond stuff but I was able to find about 5 water plants (lilies, irses, and cattails) plus a small pump, a huge half Jack Daniel's whiskey barrel and liner for the container itself, and the piping and hardware I needed to put it all together. In the end I was really pleased with how it turned out. Plus, having this Lowe's with longer hours just up the street to run up to is super convenient. More than once I had I needed to head back up there to get a different size pipe or other item to make the water feature work and it was so nice they were open later so I could do that. And everyone here was very helpful to boot.”

“We've been shopping here since we moved to Dexter 10 years ago. My husband likes to get tools and hardware here and support a local business. I stopped in today for a terracotta pot and was impressed with the potting supplies. They have more stock than the big box stores in terms of different types of potting mixes and amendments. Their pots are mostly terracotta or plastic, and that should suit almost everyone. Their customer service is really what keeps us coming back. Every time we go in there we are warmly greeted and shown the items we are looking for.”
