“Always one of the best prices for the FH's area on gasoline. Plenty of pumps, a convenient car wash right next door. Just a great in-and-out gas station. Pumps are clean and operating. Keep the water buckets full and towels most of the time. Great store with all that you would need.”

“Honestly, I only stopped at this station because I needed gas. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. It was modern-like new construction, updated with high-end neon signs, clean, organized, and super friendly family-like staff. It is very apparent they take pride in their business. I make it my practice to only buy gas at the same station. I left there feeling like family. So now I have 2 gas stations. I really like this place. Thanks guys.”

“I was waited on bby Brandi. She was very sweet. I had to get to work and my card wouldn't work. I only had 4 dollars. She added 6 more of her money out of her purse. I will pass 15 gas stations to come here. Great prices, better customer service. Both rare!!”

“I live in this area, and I prefer this gas station. As a matter of fact, I was riding a bike with my dog, and grand daughter in a bike trailer. I needed air in a tire, and didn’t have any cash on me, I asked the owners adult son if he would give me the change, and I’d bring it back. And sure enough he absolutely did.”

“Usually has the best gas prices around. Inside store is clean with friendly staff. Be careful walking back out - cars drive through very close to entrance doors.”

“Experience was good, but google needs to put a correct phone number on their page. Ethanol free gas was the reason for my visit. Would have been easier to locate if I could call.”

“The service here is pretty good. Always seems to be pretty clean inside. The prices of their gas is usually a little bit cheaper than some of the other places around. They do close earlier than some other locations nearby but at least the air pump is on at night. I do definitely Prefer them over the shell gas station across the street. People at the shell gas station can be pretty rude sometime.”

“As you might have read in my other reviews, I only rate restaurants in cities I travel to in the United States and some in my hometown of Montreal. This is not really a review but more like a good karma thumbs up for the proprietor of this business. The story goes like this. I was in Detroit for business the last few days and had to pay something with cash and I needed $300. I stopped at the first gas station I saw that I figured would have an ATM and this was the one. I tried to get $300 but it would only allow me $200. I pressed and the money came out. I tried for another $100 but it would only give up $20. I tried another credit card and it would also give up only $20 to that one as well. I called over the man at the cash and we quickly figured out together that the machine was probably out of cash and only had $20 left inside. He then kindly offered me $100 from the cash if I swiped my card, no charges added. That was real decent of him and I accepted. We made small chat, we're both immigrants, what I was in town for, bla bla. Just a nice, simple chat. I took the $100 and went on my way. It was a 10 minute drive away on a main road to where I had to go. I arrived there and after about 10 minutes more, went to pay the $300 to where it was owed. As soon as I opened my wallet, I saw I only had$100 and realized that I never took out the $200 from the bottom of the ATM. The person I was going to pay told me the money was long gone and not to bother going back. Being as stubborn as a donkey in the village that refuses to be ridden, I payed her no heed and jumped in my rented car. I made the roughly 10 minute drive in about 6 minutes, driving through red lights. I arrived at the gas station and as soon as I went in the door, I saw a lady at the ATM but no money in the drawer at the bottom. I wasn't about to start calling her a thief (it crossed my mind) so I just put my face down and was about to ask at the cash if someone had miraculously given in the money when the guy at the cash saw me and said, '' I have your money''. I thought he was joking until he showed it to me. I really couldn't believe that he was that honest. He knew I was from out of town from talking with him earlier and could have easily said he had no clue. He told me I was lucky that I told him the ATM was empty and after I left he went to fill it and saw the $200. He also told me that since I had told him where I was working at the trade show, he was going to come and give it back to me if I hadn't shown up by noon (this happened around 9:30am). All this being said, I just anybody who might read this and happens to be anywhere near this gas station, to go in and tell the owner Tony that the guy from Montreal not only told him thanks 1,000 times but in my small corner of the 'net, I publicly thanked. Tony, my new found friend, you are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could give you more stars but 5 is the limit. Ciao.”

“Some people saying this place is ghetto or sketchy. It's a gas station not a 5 star restaurant in a white washed high end neighborhood lol. Like chill. I've live near this station for 3 weeks, and already the owner knows me by name, very kind to me everytime I walk in, always tells me the sales going on. Which in my experience isn't the norm so 5 stars for this place seems pretty fair. Doesn't take much to go beyond the small amount of just having the necessities, but they do it. So 5 stars.”

“I feel like a lot of the bad reviews here are talking about a different Speedway. Someone mentions the one at 8 mile and Farmington. This is 12 mile and Halsted. It's not perfect, but I'd say it's an above average gas station. Well lit, and in a nice area. The worst thing I can say is that sometimes the car wash is broken or down for maintenance and I have to come back another day.I go here all the time and have never once seen anything that made me concerned for my or my family's safety.People talking about it being dangerous must either be talking about the wrong station, or they've lived the most privileged and sheltered life ever and are just scared of most humans.”

“I like this place. I live not far from there and drive, and sometimes run, to get the newspaper most mornings. All of the folks at the register are polite and accommodating. I was helped one Sunday morning when my car battery died. The sole, very nice young man on duty went out of his way to get me going again...unusual. The older man outlined in an earlier post is always kind and courteous. My Dad had a gas station when I was growing up. These folks emminate that vibe....they care about their reasonable and courteous customers . Glad they are there. (For those who criticize the place....sometimes you reap what you sow.)”
