“I always shop here first to support local small business. One day, getting prompt help from staff, we looked together for the proper size C-channel, but couldn't find the right one. I purchased one that I thought was right from a big box store, but they would not cut it in half as I needed (2) four foot pieces from the 8ft. aluminum stick. On a hunch, I swung back by to ask the gentleman who helped me previously at Keck's, if they had a tool that would cut the aluminum and to my surprise, he did not hesitate to cut it for me. I was dismayed to find it wouldn't work for my intended use and due to the help I received on my first trip , I went back to Keck's to ask for his advice. Without hesitation, he took the pieces from me and in the back room applying ingenuity and the right tools, he modified the aluminum pieces for me to allow me to use them. The interesting point is that I didn't purchase the channel from Keck's, and he would not take any money from me for the (2) separate times that day he spent helping me out. WHO DOES THAT ANY MORE? Great store and very special service! I continue to go there first for my hardware needs.

“I'm probably as mad about tools as men are.
And when you're looking for a tool, you do your homework.
I'm not going to say everything they sell is going to be the tool you drop in your cart...you gotta do your homework.
However, I've bought a lot of things from Harbor Freight, drill press, couple hand drills, bench grinders, couple vises and sure I'll be back looking.
Just do your research and buy smart.
Good prices, the store I go to assistance is helpful and friendly.
They have a membership card that you can get to save even more.

“I typically go to the Ace on Ecorse Rd. as it’s closer to our house, but after realizing they didn’t carry an item I was looking for, I had to run to the one on Eureka. What a difference in customer service! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and asked if they could help find anything. They knew just what I was looking for, and exactly where it was located in the store. While browsing for another item, another staff member rushed over to help and took the time to help locate a specific screw I needed. A+ service and extremely friendly. This will be my go to store moving forward!”
“This is my place the staff is helpful and this is where I'm able to get my feed and everything I need. I also want to say my basement flooded and I would have never thought of TSC as the go to place for that. Thankfully I was there picking up a regular order and staff was able to show me that they do have pumps and different equipment you would expect to see at a hardware store so if you are shopping around for certain hardware check them out. Tires as well”

“I've had multiple visits to this Lowe's store the past 2 weeks, and I have to absolutely give credit to John. I'm not sure which department he specifically works, however, during my first visit, I brought my dog Essie with me. He seen me walking around knowingly that I needed help. He kindly asked if he could assist me. I explained to him (in female terms) what I needed. He directed me and walked across the store to show me where I needed to go and found another associate in that department to help me. During our walk across the store, we had conversations about dogs, etc.
He was beyond helpful and went above and beyond his requirements.
Yesterday, I had to go back and return an item and purchase a different one. This time I was alone. He again, walked over to help assist me. I thanked him again for helping the time prior and stated "you may not remember me", but he immediately did. He said yes, last time you had Essie. (My dog). He remembered my dogs name.
That was the best personalized customer experience that I've ever received before. He was helpful, friendly and a very knowledgeable person to encounter at a home improvement store. Which is very important being a female and not very knowledgeable regarding home improvements. I hope that he is recognized for his outstanding service that he provides, as I truly believe he's a huge asset to Southgate Lowe's.”

“Trager I've used everything to smoke from the egg to the electric or super basic charcoal grill. This have ben fun. Im using a lot more wood pellets compared to woodchips. So take that into thought before u get one. I spe t about 40 on pellets already this summer. Which is about 10 times more then I've ever spent. Lol but a big fan is has a fan so chicken skin gets crunchy. which was an unexpected bonus.”

“I am beyond impressed with Saw and Specialty Corporation (SawSpec) in Romulus. I'm a hobbyist woodworker and noticed that my Ridge Carbide and Festool blades weren't cutting as well as they used to. I could pay to ship them off and lose them for weeks, but I decided to keep it local, and I'm so happy I did. I got my blades back in less than one week for way cheaper. Their customer service is incredible (Odette is amazing), and my blades look brand new.”
