​I just left Alma’s Hi-Fi Stereo in Royal Oak, and man, what a phenomenal, unique place. This isn’t just a retail shop; it’s a masterclass in how a true specialty business should be run.
​I spent some time hanging out with the crew today and specifically caught up with Paul. We didn't just talk shop or look at gear—we had a great, wide-ranging conversation about audio, life, navigating change, maintaining true quality, and spotting real business opportunities. It’s rare to find that kind of depth and substance anywhere anymore.
​Woodward Avenue used to have a broad range of high-end audio and video options back in the day. Today, Alma's is all that stands, and it is completely obvious why they are the ones who survived. They haven't compromised on the craft, the gear, or the human element.
​If you appreciate premium sound, legacy quality, and dealing with professionals who actually care about the experience, this is the only spot left that matters.

“Today I was at Seven Eleven around 3/3:30 and the atmosphere was great Mr. Groovy was there and a younger guy maybe late thirties to mid forties was really kind he was willing to pay for a few items that I didn't have the money for so he paid ten dollars for the items that I really needed or wanted, I told him I'll definitely pay him back but he's like it's not necessary and went about his way, I've seen this younger or middle aged guy a few times and he seems cool, I just wanted to tell him thank you and to the cashier I wanted to say thank you for being such an cool groovy guy I'll definitely be coming back because of this amazing experience.”

“I absolutely love this 7‑Eleven on Crooks Road! Their Slurpees are top‑tier—I swear I could live on those things—and the Big Gulps are always ice‑cold and perfect. This location is especially convenient because it’s right next to Subway. I often swing by to grab some desserts, snacks, or whatever catches my eye, then head next door for a sub.
The store is clean, the selection is great, and it’s an easy stop whether I’m craving something sweet or just need a quick drink. And did I mention how much I love their Slurpees? Seriously—so good.
Overall, this 7‑Eleven is a reliable go‑to for snacks, drinks, and quick stops. Highly recommend!”

“Very helpful and courteous staff. Our last visit (9/23) was with Caitlyn, who was so helpful and patient with us. She was extremely knowledgeable about the current deals available and how to arrange our product and service orders to get the best value. She took extra time to check availability of devices at other nearby stores and presented several options for payment and financing. This is a busy corporate location so be sure to make an appointment online before you go or you are likely to have a long wait. By far our preferred location to deal with.”

“Never had an issue here. I work right down the road and always stop by to get my hydration drinks and the occasional snack.

Sometimes it's a bit dirty, but that's to be expected when Slurpees are involved and a school is just a couple yards away. I'm not one for small talk and the lady that works in the mornings and the gentlemen in the evenings are always nice and seem to pick up on the vibe that I'm quiet.

Great deals, especially with the 7-Eleven rewards.”

“The representative who use to be a manager but now works in business department is phenomenal. I previously worked with an unprofessional business manager name India at the Southfield location. She made the experience horrible and wasted my valued time. But Kevin ended up reaching back out to me , he handled everything quickly and professional. I’m very appreciative of his help and dedication to provide splendid customer service. He didn’t require recognition, but I want to say thank you and job well done.
