“If you are considering the Community House to host your daughters wedding reception, you are at the right place!Loved every interaction with the staff. The Chef is amazing and all the guest were happy with the meals, portion size and the service.Kassie was a delight to work with and as the Mother of the Bride; I'm proud of the event/and I'm still getting feedback from the guest on how much fun they had. I also, was able to enjoy every minute of the reception, while the staff took care of each and every guest. I was left to dancing and have fun! Thanks to the entire Staff!”

Everyone I met there was fantastic – friendly, down-to-earth, and always happy to chat. The Farmington Elks Lodge is a fantastic place to connect with some truly wonderful people. Whether you're looking for a casual gathering or a chance to expand your social circle, it's a perfect option.I was also impressed to learn about their dedication to supporting veterans and giving back to the community. Their commitment to social responsibility is truly admirable.Overall, my experience at the Farmington Elks Lodge was outstanding. “I LOVE Manresa Jesuit Retreat Center. It is one of those "thin places" where one can so much more readily feel a connection to the Divine. The spiritual exercises of St Ignatius, and the overall spirituality of Manresa, feels inclusive and graceful, while also earthy and practical. This has been an important place for me to learn about the above. I also adore the library here and the small book "shop." It is always a comfortable place to stay. I am so grateful to have been able to come here on retreats.”

“This place is a community gem.The only food bank in metro Detroit that is 100% kosher certified.Run entirely by volunteers I believe. They are dedicated and work hard and will usually go the extra mile to serve the clients.Good to know:Must sign up with them first. They have weird hours and are closed on Jewish holidays so make sure you check before you come. You can only come once a month but they really hook you up, it’s not like other food banks that give out mostly non perishables. The items they distribute vary by availability but include chicken, ground beef, cheese, baked goods from bakery, eggs, toilet paper and household goods, baby items like formula and diapers plus various produce items and non perishables.”

“I am content living here. I feel safe and secure. The building is kept clean at all times. Majority of staff is very pleasant. I love my balcony. Only thing I wish was available is an in unit washer and dryer. I hate going to laundry room. However I do highly recommend this community for seniors. I do not participate in function, but they do have plenty to enjoy.”

“Great club, great cause, and great people! I joined Clarkston Rotary to become more involved in Community Events and give back to the Community of Clarkston and surrounding areas. I couldn't be more proud of my youngest daughter who is now involved having started her own Interact Club at Clarkston High School. “I went to the Grand River store looking for a bed for my niece. Shawndale was very helpful, he moved treasures out of the way so I could get a good look at the merchandise. He made sure I was aware of all of the pieces (railings, mattress supports) that went with the bed. Very nice, clean, well organized store with a friendly staff! I will be back!”

“It’s hard to find a team of people who works harder and loves bigger than the crew at Camp Casey. They show up and serve families who are in the thick of the unimaginable. Childhood cancer shouldn’t be a part of any family story, but when it is, Camp Casey is there to show support through fun, community, and a space for families to make positive memories. They’re gold!”

“I like this location and frequently stop in here to donate. Having said that, truly miss the old staff. The man taking donations is nothing like the previous donation employees who were polite and very helpful. He's rude and lazy. The cashier (I specifically asked her name because of this reason) Sherry is a nasty old woman. I have witnessed her at least 10 times being rude to customers or bad mouthing other employees to a customer. While on the other hand changing prices to cheaper amounts for certain customers. I actually complained to the store manager, Angela about Sherry and obviously nothing has changed. Seems she doesn't care what happens at the store. Other then a few bad apples the employees here are wonderful. But what do you expect when you have a clueless manager? Store 5 stars, prices 5 stars, most of the employees 5 stars, 1 star manager and the employees that are bad... Are REALLY BAD.”

“Looking at the Fox2 piece on Gesher Human Services, I thought what a great resource. Then my takeaway is why put Phyllis Scripsick on as the spokesperson? Her right eye is completely covered by her hair. Very unprofessional in my mind. Why?”
