“TC Latino Grocery is a great find in Traverse City.
You can grab fresh food or stock up on bulk items, and the variety Latino grocers is genuinely unique—stuff you won’t see in typical grocery stores. The standout though is the candy selection—easily the largest variety of Mexican candy I’ve come across.
No-frills, authentic, and worth a stop. Definitely pop in if you’re nearby.”

“Do not judge this general store\\restaurant by the exterior of the building. This general store has been in the family for 180 years and at one time was the only grocery store between Detroit and Mackinac Island. The owners are a delightful couple who have been running this place for the last 27 years walking in the door is an nostalgic trip into yesteryear. unbelievably they have amazingly delicious sandwiches and soups, pizza, homemade bread and pastries as well as groceries from Band-Aids, baked beans, as well as alcohol, candy, coffee. They offer the cutest, cozy little dining area with antiques in every nook and cranny. I cannot stress to you how much of an incredible experience we had here. The owners, the food, the history, the ambiance and the fellow customers all Make This a must see stop if you’re ever in Traverse City on your way the Old Mission Point Lighthouse Park At the 45th parallel. I will advise you that this is not an experience to expect to hurry through. Soak it in and enjoy the incredible food and trip back in time.”
“Been using Olesons West for 25 years. The staff is excellent, they carry everything I need, the pharmacy is top-notch! Like any local store right now, they do have occasional staffing issues, but make up for it with general customer service. Prices are a tad higher, but not over the top. Clean, organized, and well-stocked. I highly recommend them!”
“We shop for their farm raised Bison given it has lean, yet tender, and tasty flavor. The have all the produce and other groceries you need, but we typically shop for the Bison meat cuts and ground meat. We also got a smoked Bison soup bone as we enjoy the stock from the roast and want to try the soup bone to further flavor the roast and stock.”

“My absolute favorite store downtown. I’ve never once had a bad experience here. The staff is always friendly, and the store has this rustic, pirate-apothecary vibe—I’m not sure how else to describe it, but I love it. If you’re looking to make a curry or any dish that requires a lot of hard-to-find spices, this is the place. Not to mention the huge selection of medicinal herbs and delicious unique teas. “Love Aldis. Great place for something different. Very nice cheeses and meats. Great self check out areas . I don't like self checkouts but they have many so you don't have to wait long to check out. Easy parking. Bring your bags or boxes to bag your grocery. They used to charge a 25 cart fee. Just Snag one take one in from the lot . Not sure if they charge still.”
“Me and my husband, along with my sister and her husband, were gifted tour gift cards and we absolutely loved it! Our tour guide, Clover, was so fun, passionate, and engaging, and her love and excitement for the history of this place was contagious. As a Traverse City native, I was shocked by how much I didn’t know about this crucial piece of the town’s history. 10/10 would recommend, whether you’re a local or from out of town. We had a wonderful experience and learned so much!”

“Easy in and out... Once you finally reach a pump. The lines here are ridiculous. Most of the time the savings isn't worth the wait but once you do get to a pump you just scan the QR code, pump and go. If only it didn't take fifteen minutes to get through the line.”
“I really like Save-A-Lot because they make buying groceries or affordable. Remember though it is a smaller store and a very limited supply of brand name groceries but so far with my experience the quality has been just as good. Don't look for things like a dedicated pharmacy, bakery or deli department. I enjoy the fact that besides prepackaged meats they have an actual meat department selling fresh meat.”

“Today I was getting a Pickup order, and my car died. The nice young ladies loading my order offered to contact the Tire dept to have them jump my car, and one stayed to make sure I could get home. A nice young man came out immediately and jumped my car, and got it going. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated the staff for going above and beyond to help me! I made it home safely!
