Royal Paws Dog Grooming LLC
10560 France Ave S, BloomingtonWe live in Chanhassen, but still make the drive to Bloomington because Royal Paws is awesome! Our Golden Retriever and Great Dane absolutely love the groomers.
You can tell this isn’t just a job for them. They genuinely love dogs. They’re patient and gentle and our dogs actually get excited when we pull into the parking lot, which says everything.
Their communication is great, too. They keep us updated, let us know if they notice anything, like an infected ear or suspicious spot on the skin, and are always easy to reach. The prices are super fair, and the dogs always come home clean, happy, and smelling amazing. It’s rare to find people you trust this much with your pets, and I’m so grateful we did. Thank you for always loving our dogs!

Pet Care

Nova Veterinary Clinic
9056 Penn Ave S Suite 200, BloomingtonBy far the best vet clinic I’ve been to! I have a dog and a cat who have gone to Nova for about 2 years. The entire team is excellent, they truly care and can usually see us within 24 hours if something is urgent. The clinic is also always clean and the atmosphere is calm. With all things considered, I feel they are reasonably priced for the experience myself and my pets get. I can’t recommend this clinic enough!

VCA Bloomington Animal Hospital
8830 Lyndale Ave S, BloomingtonMy fur baby had a horrible ear infection in both of her little ears. They took her examined her, diagnosed what type of ear infection it was. Then provided me with medications to treat her with and very clear understandable Aftercare directions. also their follow-up is amazing. The vet there was a absolutely phenomenal.
she really really loves animals, and made sure that even though I am a student and don't get paid very well. I was able to get what I needed for my dog, to treat her properly, at a price I could actually pay. Which they did not have to do. Would like to thank all of the ladies that day that I seen that helped me and my fur baby?

Pet Sitting & Training

Bloomington Obedience Training Club
8127 Pleasant Ave S, BloomingtonI am on week 9 of Flyball class with BOTC and honestly can't say enough good things. There was a waitlist to get started and it was well worth waiting.I dawdled a lot to start class because her biggest quirk from when I got her at 8 months old is an aversion of going through doorways and entering buildings. It is particularly bad when involving places that dogs frequent. We have worked a lot on building her confidence (no pun intended) but dog-centric indoor spaces are still a big challenge for her. I didn't want to ruin her confidence by trying to engage her in a class to early. However, within the first 2-3 classes she was completely comfortable with going to and from the building and she earnestly looks forward to class now.The class is small and tailored to each dog's level and strengths. The instructors not only care about teaching Flyball, but also are thoughtful about how the sport affects your dog's health overall. I was very impressed seeing how they handle their younger dogs with respect to their development and longevity. I am on the waitlist to start agility as well. I was told it may take 6 months, but if the agility instructors have the same consideration and passion about fostering my dog's well being as the Flyball team does, then I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere.

Mall of America®
60 E Broadway, BloomingtonThe Mall of America is a very fun space. It has every kind of store you can imagine, four levels of stores and eateries. You can access the light rail from inside the mall, you can use it to go up into the city to any of the ball stadiums or any place in between. It has a large amusement park inside the building in the middle. Give yourself a half a day to check it all out. I would imagine the locals love it in the winter.

NorthStar Tavern
5101 W 98th St, BloomingtonNorth Star Tavern absolutely crushed it for our group! We had our reservation double at the very last minute and they not only accommodated us, but were able to get us in earlier too. The host who helped coordinate everything was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. I really wish I had gotten his name because he made the whole experience so easy. And Riley, our server, despite being a Packer fan ?, was fantastic. She handled our large group like a pro and gave us excellent service the entire time with a smile on her face. Also…that Brussel sprout salad is an absolute banger. 10/10 all around!

Snuffy's Malt Shop
1200 W 98th St, BloomingtonThe food is absolutely wonderful. Kids and adults alike in our group were very happy with dinner. Our group of 11 was handled easily, even though we didn't warn them we were coming- we only waited about 5 minutes.
Our server, Olivia, was outstanding. The fries were hot and fresh, the root beer floats perfect, and all the sandwiches made perfectly. And the bathrooms were clean, too.
Should you go here for a delicious , relaxing night out? Yes. Very simply, yes.
We just moved here, so the prices are different, but not too far out of line, I think, considering

Amazing food , amazing service
Please ask questions if you are not familiar with the food , they will explain what it is and if it is spicy .
If you aren’t use to herbs spices be careful as flavorful food will have these things..
(Get water or a juice as a drink to accompany it .)
as soda usually increases spice sensations
Price was $ 20 bucks a meal , entree ,with rice and side and with a drink. Fair price if you eat anywhere in mall of an America.

Smack Shack
3801 Minnesota Dr, BloomingtonThe atmosphere was relatively casual although several people were in dresses and suits for a private party. Attire ranged from shorts or jeans to dresses and suits. The outdoor patio is welcoming. I stopped in without reservations on a Saturday night and was seated immediately. Entrees are in the high $30 or $40 plus range and everything else is a la carte. I had a garden salad, the salmon with risotto, and the key lime pie. My service was excellent even though I was dressed a little grubby since I spontaneously stopped in on my way home after running errands.
