We’ve given baths to our terriers and even trimmed their toenails, but I’ve learned there’s nothing like a professional groom. After one session with Carley, our Airedale looks like a dog instead of a sheep, plus she seems happier and proud of herself. We’ve already booked her next appointment and we’re ALL looking forward to it.

Then a couple weeks ago I brought one of my other dogs Klein in for a second opinion on what has been making him sick since September. They were very determined to help figure out what was wrong. We didn't get the chance to complete his workup before he passed. So when they found out they were very sympathetic for what I had gone through once again. I couldn't thank them enough for being there through both my rainbow dogs.

Everyone who works there truly wants the best for my pets and I have been so grateful for their thoughtfulness, particularly when my previous dog was going through her final days after a cancer diagnosis. They helped her stay as comfortable as possible and stayed in touch with me throughout that difficult time. I just brought my current dog in for vaccines and everyone treated him like he was a star. While the reviews that led us here were mostly glowing, there were a couple that said their experience was rushed or impersonal. That could not have been further from our experience. Dr. Donald had reviewed all of Mabel's history, performed a comprehensive exam, and discussed her condition (Mabel had pneumonia - she's okay now). She was thorough and straightforward, didn't talk down to us, and made sure we understood everything. That's what you would expect from a good vet. What we didn't expect was that she took time to get to know us as pet parents. She was warm and friendly throughout, and spent probably double the amount of time we would have expected. This is the best vet experience I think we've ever had.

The Minnehaha Team has been there through every moment of my childhood pets, and now they support me as I care for my very own cat and dog with confidence and independence.
Over the years, I’ve built incredible trust with the front desk staff, the assistants, and the doctors. They’ve treated our pets like family and they’ve treated us like family too. We particularly have a great bond with Bobbie and Dr. Soule.
We feel like the staff has always shown up with compassion, professionalism, and absolute genuine care. They LOVE our dog Marzipan, everyone genuilnly greats her and hopes she's doing well. Even new empoleeyes we meet fall in love with her and it's very hearwarming.
I honestly can’t believe I haven’t written this review until now! I feel awful since they’ve earned it a hundred times over. If you’re looking for a vet who will walk alongside you through the joys and heartbreaks of pet ownership, this is the place. I’m endlessly grateful for the years of care, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I send so much love to the team and hope you know, YOU MEAN SO MUCH TO US!

Something I really also value, though, is how willing and quick Kenwood vets are to be part of a more integrated approach to a problem involving specialists or urgent care external to the clinic. They are always interested in and invested in the best outcome for our pets and that is deeply appreciated. On this occasion, they gently guided our Greyhound mix through x-rays for an upcoming visit to a rehab clinic and affirmed the preliminary injury diagnosis given by an Urgent Care vet. I value my relationship with all of the vets and staff at Kenwood.

Dr. Burk was compassionate, non-judgmental, and exceptionally knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. She truly cares from the perspective of a pet parent, taking the time to explain every option clearly including treatment plans and costs so we could make informed decisions and decide best course for our family. She checks in often and is always open to questions or concerns, which made an incredibly difficult time feel much more manageable.
Over the years, I’ve had pets with complex medical needs, including a cat with early kidney failure and another with severe heart complications and frostbite (stray) and I have worked with many veterinarians. I can honestly say I have never experienced a more caring, supportive, and dedicated vet.

Everyone there is super friendly and while they may not know my name or my wife's depending who is at the desk, they DEFINITELY know my dog's name every time she walks in the door and greet her before she can even get all the way in. They pay attention to what she does that day and who she is playing with and give nice updates at the end of the day or a longer stay. It's clear they care about the little ones in their care. It's also nice to be able to peek in on the video and see her during the day.

We are driving home right now from a week trip we took in GA. It is an 18 hour drive. We took Ember with us because we felt she could handle it. We stayed with my best friend and she has 4 dogs (two big, two small). Ember was INCREDIBLE! My best friend was amazed and so proud of her. I never thought this was possible. Ember has been through every medication, we were feeling so defeated. She could not even go out for a walk without losing it. It is so fulfilling to be able to take my baby girl with us pretty much anywhere now. Thank you all for everything and helping my baby be her very best self! ?

From day one, it brought me instant relief knowing I didn't have to worry about him being home alone and that he was in such great hands.
We mainly use daycare, but the few times we've needed boarding it's also been a great experience. My dog is always so excited to go -- which says everything you need to know.
The staff is absolutely amazing and genuinely care about the dogs. I have complete peace of mind knowing he's well taken care of, happy, and loved. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place they can truly trust with their dog.

My dogs had been in the country for 6 years (one of which can be reactive) and not socialized. I was anxious to move back to the cities and how they would react to all the other dogs. Emma helped me with an initial training and takes them on group walks with no problems! A true dog whisperer. I'm so grateful for all her help. They are thriving in their new environment and I totally credit Emma for this.

My friend and I visited for some morning bevs, and they were delish! I got a small caramel iced latte, my friend got a medium iced latte with some fun flavors too. We both thought the taste of their espresso was great and it compliments their flavors perfectly! I enjoy how they charge different amounts for different sizes for flavors, because most places charge one flat rate regardless on how much actual flavor you want/need.
The prices are fair for their drinks, baked goods are priced a littttle high in my opinion, but still tasty. Banana bread is fire, brownie is just okay. I'd take a whole loaf of the banana bread. Gas. Liked this place so much that I got a shirt too! Only $25!
The vibes and atmosphere of this cafe are so lovely. They have an amazing indie jazzy chill pop playlist that they play in the background. Huge kudos to whoever made this playlist because it's so nice and relaxing. They have a garage here to open and let sun & fresh air in. This does let some bugs in, but not too many. I may or may not have murdered a few mosquitoes during my stay. Theres a nice bench outside to sit at too!

Order: espresso black, Iced Latte, the boss breakfast burrito.
Do not come here if you are in a rush. This one man model operates one order at a time and though dusty is efficient, if you are pressed for time and it's early this may not be the stop for you.
That being said it there is a wait it's worth it. The espresso is dynamite. The Estrella machine and the barista using it are both dialed in perfectly. The prices are crazy given the current economic climate and the burritos are banging.
One of my favorite stops when I'm in the area.

3860 Minnehaha Ave, MinneapolisSelam was absolutely delicious as my first full on experience with Ethiopian food. I've had similar cuisine in the past, but never the full presentation of meats and vegetables with injera.
We started with the lentil sambusa, which was shatteringly crispy. Incredible texture.
But the real star was the Selam combo. It came with three meat-based wots (stews), a few lentil/corn, and salad and pickled cabbage. Served with injera, a super spongy and fermented soft bread for ripping and dipping, the whole thing was just a sensory and flavorful delight.
I will admit the service was a little inattentive as they were busy with prep work, and the restaurant is decorated like a HomeGoods. But I feel like that's part of the charm.
The food more than makes up for it. It was absolutely fantastic.

I have been bringing my two dogs (medium and small sized) to Downtown Dogs for 1 1/2 years and have had nothing but 10/10 experiences. At first, I was a little shocked by the price but it quickly became clear to me it is worth every penny. It is obvious they truly care about all the dogs and their well-being. The staff is always friendly, kind and all seem to enjoy their jobs. I love that they give me updates of how my girls days were and who they played with at pick up!
