After one session with Carley, our Airedale looks like a dog instead of a sheep, plus she seems happier and proud of herself. 216 Colfax Avenue North, MinneapolisI typically groom my two dogs myself but have been recovering from surgery while they've been enjoying the hot summer and getting extra stinky from it. I decided rather than wait til I could do it myself to get them full service baths and could not have been more pleased with this experience. The communication leading up to the appointment was quick, friendly, and clear. They even accommodated a last minute time change for me. They treated my dogs with patience and care- working well with both my older gal and young sassy girl, and didn't push either past their comfort level while still providing an excellent glow up. I appreciated the details they shared of how the groom went, and also that they had lots of treats in the lobby for me to choose from to reward the girls after (they each got a jerky treat but they sell bubbles, plushies, squakies, and even leashes/collars). The perfume was a very nice scent and not overwhelming. They even picked little bows/bandanas that matched my dogs collars/leash. So cute! I am a fan and will return.

8094 Morgan Cir S, MinneapolisI first came to Best Friends about 6 months ago to put my dog Xenio down. Which they were nothing but accommodating, kind and very compassionate about what they do. Then a couple weeks ago I brought one of my other dogs Klein in for a second opinion on what has been making him sick since September. They were very determined to help figure out what was wrong. We didn't get the chance to complete his workup before he passed. So when they found out they were very sympathetic for what I had gone through once again. I couldn't thank them enough for being there through both my rainbow dogs.

They helped her stay as comfortable as possible and stayed in touch with me throughout that difficult time. I just brought my current dog in for vaccines and everyone treated him like he was a star. Southdale Pet Hospital
3910 W 70th St, MinneapolisDr Adams and her staff are some of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever met. My wife and I called the office hoping for a same-day appointment due to our dog starting to experience persistent vomiting spells. Not only did they call us back almost immediately, but they were able to see her within two hours of us calling. Dr Adams is extremely thorough and has excellent bedside manner. On top of that, the service she provided was significantly better than what we had received a day earlier at an urgent care. Additionally, the price of my dog’s intake appointment, medications, and follow-up appointment was cheaper than a basic exam at our previous vet. Unfortunately our sweet baby ended up passing away due to complications from her illness (myasthenia gravis, mega esophagus, aspiration pneumonia, and probably cancer). When Dr Adams saw the death paperwork from the emergency vet we had taken our dog to, she called almost immediately to express her condolences. I am confident in saying that if my wife and I ever get another dog, we are going to bring them to Southdale Pet Hospital.

The Minnehaha Team has been there through every moment of my childhood pets, and now they support me as I care for my very own cat and dog with confidence and independence.
Over the years, I’ve built incredible trust with the front desk staff, the assistants, and the doctors. They’ve treated our pets like family and they’ve treated us like family too. We particularly have a great bond with Bobbie and Dr. Soule.
We feel like the staff has always shown up with compassion, professionalism, and absolute genuine care. They LOVE our dog Marzipan, everyone genuilnly greats her and hopes she's doing well. Even new empoleeyes we meet fall in love with her and it's very hearwarming.
I honestly can’t believe I haven’t written this review until now! I feel awful since they’ve earned it a hundred times over. If you’re looking for a vet who will walk alongside you through the joys and heartbreaks of pet ownership, this is the place. Something I really also value, though, is how willing and quick Kenwood vets are to be part of a more integrated approach to a problem involving specialists or urgent care external to the clinic. They are always interested in and invested in the best outcome for our pets and that is deeply appreciated. On this occasion, they gently guided our Greyhound mix through x-rays for an upcoming visit to a rehab clinic and affirmed the preliminary injury diagnosis given by an Urgent Care vet. I value my relationship with all of the vets and staff at Kenwood.

Dr. Burk was compassionate, non-judgmental, and exceptionally knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. She truly cares from the perspective of a pet parent, taking the time to explain every option clearly including treatment plans and costs so we could make informed decisions and decide best course for our family. She checks in often and is always open to questions or concerns, which made an incredibly difficult time feel much more manageable.
Over the years, I’ve had pets with complex medical needs, including a cat with early kidney failure and another with severe heart complications and frostbite (stray) and I have worked with many veterinarians. I can honestly say I have never experienced a more caring, supportive, and dedicated vet.

Everyone there is super friendly and while they may not know my name or my wife's depending who is at the desk, they DEFINITELY know my dog's name every time she walks in the door and greet her before she can even get all the way in. They pay attention to what she does that day and who she is playing with and give nice updates at the end of the day or a longer stay. It's clear they care about the little ones in their care. It's also nice to be able to peek in on the video and see her during the day.

We are driving home right now from a week trip we took in GA. It is an 18 hour drive. We took Ember with us because we felt she could handle it. We stayed with my best friend and she has 4 dogs (two big, two small). Ember was INCREDIBLE! My best friend was amazed and so proud of her. I never thought this was possible. Ember has been through every medication, we were feeling so defeated. She could not even go out for a walk without losing it. It is so fulfilling to be able to take my baby girl with us pretty much anywhere now. Thank you all for everything and helping my baby be her very best self! ?

Do not come here if you are in a rush. This one man model operates one order at a time and though dusty is efficient, if you are pressed for time and it's early this may not be the stop for you.
That being said it there is a wait it's worth it. The espresso is dynamite. The Estrella machine and the barista using it are both dialed in perfectly. The prices are crazy given the current economic climate and the burritos are banging.
One of my favorite stops when I'm in the area.

We started with the lentil sambusa, which was shatteringly crispy. Incredible texture.
But the real star was the Selam combo. It came with three meat-based wots (stews), a few lentil/corn, and salad and pickled cabbage. Served with injera, a super spongy and fermented soft bread for ripping and dipping, the whole thing was just a sensory and flavorful delight.
I will admit the service was a little inattentive as they were busy with prep work, and the restaurant is decorated like a HomeGoods. But I feel like that's part of the charm.
The food more than makes up for it. It was absolutely fantastic.

I have been bringing my two dogs (medium and small sized) to Downtown Dogs for 1 1/2 years and have had nothing but 10/10 experiences. At first, I was a little shocked by the price but it quickly became clear to me it is worth every penny. It is obvious they truly care about all the dogs and their well-being. The staff is always friendly, kind and all seem to enjoy their jobs. I love that they give me updates of how my girls days were and who they played with at pick up!
