“Location was great. Downtown was about 20-25 minutes away, there were a ton of shopping outlets and restaurants about 10 minutes west of the hotel.

The first room I was given was dirty, I talked to the front desk and they were able to get me moved over to a clean room. My room was cleaned daily”

“I had a business trip and ended ip choosing this location. The hotel was great. Breakfast was great. The ONLY thing I wish I would’ve known is how ROUGH of a neighborhood I was in. Holy Moly. I had to walk to get dinner and run another errand. After dark do NOT go outside. I was threatened and screamed at the top of their lungs from the corner of the hotel for “walking on the dope street and not buying dope” and next time I better walk on the other side. I was beyond uncomfortable and was scared for my life. No joke. BEWARE.

Rooms: I loved my room! It was huge and the tub was amazing. I had the mobile accessibility room for the bathtub. Nothing fancy but I really need the tub rails at times.”

“I really liked Emery. Spy house cafe located in the same area. If you're looking to dress up for a nice evening gathering, good food and cocktails this is a great go-to or even just for coffee. Loved the architectural design.
Parking might be a bit tricky since it's located right in the heart of Minneapolis.”

“Beautiful hotel!

The outside was well-kept and appealing. The lobby was large and welcoming.

The room was the best part of the stay. It was spotless, large, bright, and comfortable!

The linens were crisp the beds were comfortable.

Breakfast was better than average. There were several options, including fresh fruit. It would have been nice to have a different protein other than sausage, which was served both mornings.

The only negative was the laundry facilities were unavailable due to repairs, so we had to use the laundry facilities at the adjoining hotel. It was nice to have that option, however, it was an inconvenience, and we were not offered a discount for their laundry issues.

Thank you for a nice stay, Hampton Inn.”

“My stay was for a staycation and it was perfect! The hotel is very clean and has a calm and welcoming feeling when you first enter. The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and overall wonderful to interact with! The room was very spacious and clean, had normal outlets and USB plug ins by the bed which was great along with many other outlets throughout the room in convenient spots which i find very helpful. The room service was quick and convenient. There are a lot of great amenities which is awesome. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel whether it be for a staycation, vacation, for a business trip, or whatever it may be you need a hotel for!”

“Showers could use bars, but the room was spacious and clean. I could stay in bed all day. The bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was very secure.Walkability: Food within walking distance. Light rail is also very close.”

“Very loud but that's kinda expected being in the heart of the north loop. The rooftop spa was packed at night, definitely more than the max capacity of 13. So we decided to try again in the morning, much better that time around. Rooms were okay, nothing to write home about but the brick walls were a nice feel. The drinks at the rooftop bar were very good, and customer service was top notch.

Rooms: Had a rustic feel to them, nothing too fancy though.

Walkability: Lots of places to eat/drink within walking distance.

Food and drinks: The rooftop drinks were very well made!!!”

“Stayed for 4 nights, was able to check in a few hours early. Room was clean and well stocked. I was very happy to see normal size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even body lotion instead of the usual travel size. Bathroom even had makeup remover wipes. Housekeeping was great and efficient. Breakfast was good, plenty of options each day. The pool was nice but definitely not as heated as I would have liked, it was barely luke warm. Hotel was located in a nice area, right next to the highway. The elevator was a little finicky which I didn't like but other than that, our stay was great.”

“Really cute! The hall is beautiful, the rooms are beautiful, the location near the university is convenient. Everything very clean and very well looked after. Finding a pool table and an air hockey to play and meet people was a very pleasant surprise! Highly recommended!

Rooms: Clean, spacious, well-kept. Beautiful.

Food & drinks: The hotel has a great restaurant and communicates directly with Starbucks. There is everything nearby (as always when you are near the university)”

“When traveling to Minneapolis this is where you want to stay! The staff is top notch and have always been super helpful when they can. I needed a late checkout beyond that of even the elite tiers and they were able to accommodate my request. This let me workout and shower before a late flight home. This is normally only something reserved for the top elites, but they checked room availability for the next night and approved the request. The rooms are all beautiful and that’s a perfect combination added to the nice restaurant which I’ve hosted clients at multiple times (never any complaints).”

“Booked a room here through Expedia that was supposed to have a patio. When we got to our room it did not have a patio. We called down to the front desk and they were able to switch our room, and also brought a new key up to us and helped us move our luggage to the new room. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! This was also during the time when they had an influx of an additional 90 guests due to flights being canceled at MSP. They stayed calm and accommodating. Our room was large and gorgeous and our private patio was nice, could use a little updating.

Rooms: We had a patio suite with a pull out couch. The room was super spacious and provided us everything we needed. We will be going again and booking that room with an adjoining room for my birthday celebration.”

“Hotel was perfect! Our family of 6 stayed here and we had plenty of room for all of our kids! Felt like our own little "apartment" for the weekend! Kitchen was fully stocked, room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and accommodating. We loved the outdoor fire pit, and the location was perfect! Easy to get to, and just a quick 15 minute drive to downtown, which is what we needed. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Will stay here again!”

“I ended up switching rooms because there was this high pitched ringing that the front desk attendant, Erin, even said would drive her nuts. The new room was apparently chain-smoked in, but Erin was so sweet and gave me a full can of air freshener as there were no other available rooms. Also, their parking garage (that you pay for) doesn't fit all guests so I ended up parking in the Hospital parking lot across the street. Erin did put in a note that if there are rooms that open that I will switch rooms to a less smelly room. And they don't provide continental breakfast. If you would like breakfast at the hotel it will cost you $12 for horrible looking eggs, dinkylittle sausages, 1/2 fried potatoes and some cereal. If you would like internet that is faster than a tortoise, you will need to pay extra.

Rooms: They are fairly spacious, included a microwave, mini-fridge, TV, and coffee pot. Just a stand in shower, no bath tub. My 2nd room had a broken frame around the mirror and smelled horribly of cigarettes.”

“Wow, let me tell you what amazing service I received from Danielle Wade. Mrs. Wade the front desk guest service representative from Tru Hotel went a step above to WOW me as a loyal guest. Not only did she went a step above but she gave me 110% amazing guest service. This is what I look for when I stay at Hilton Hotel's. Thanks for treating me like I was a VIP...”

“As expected room, service, amenities. Visited in March so no crazy events. Three blocks from blue line light rail and US bank stadium.Rooms: Nothing special but temperature regulation was a bit annoying, either too cold or hot and thermostat adjustment would completely reverse.Nearby activities: Several nearby stadiums and venuesWalkability: Minneapolis is rather small downtown so 1 mile to city center is niceFood & drinks: Lots of options the further along the water you walk”

“For a 2star hotel it was better than expected...High dusting needed and heater units need a good cleaning.

Food and drinks: Breakfast was free and limited.”

“Stayed prior and it's been remodeled since. Everything looks great and modern. The only thing I noticed was that the great room is STARK white. It didn't feel as warm and cozy as it had prior to the remodel.”

“Every inch of the hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a "standard" hotel breakfast, but everything was cleaned and well-stocked. “We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. The hotel is very well managed, clean, and organized. The room was quiet, and tastefully updated. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, offering many fresh selections. We were here on business, and the location is central to everything. To find such a well run, affordable hotel in center of Minneapolis was great. We will stay here again. Highly recommend!”

“Hygiene. Just being able to see a room is clean is a whole lot of comfort to me. Staff being attentive to help when something goes wrong. Even being transparent about the process to sort a problem if something can’t be fixed immediately. Having a peaceful stay!”

“Very high end place. Very exquisite hotel. The history of Foshay was a very interesting place to see and read of all the ups and downs of the owner. Truly was a rags to riches back to rags again story. Observation deck has an awesome view of the surrounding buildings and beyond. I love that they displayed everything, and I mean everything. Like the Pardon from the President! Come and enjoy a bit of history and see the view from the 30th floor. Once there on the 30th floor, you walk up 2 things of stairs. I hope you enjoy this gem. It took them 2 years to build. Just think about that a moment. Now a days it takes some people 10 years to fix a pothole! ?? ?”

“Rooms: Went for destination wedding for my grandson. They accommodated everyone with ease.

Walkability: Convient to nearby stores and restaurants

Food & drinks: Great breakfast buffet”

“The customer service, room cleanliness, atmosphere quietness, most room accommodations, etcetera, were all excellent. The only bad point, and it was enough for me to leave 1 star off, was that the bed in the "wheelchair accessible" room was too high for someone confined to a wheelchair! So had to sleep in one of the room chairs for the night - NOT restful sleep. Do better!

Noteworthy details: Beds are kind of high, so beware if you are dependent on a wheelchair.”

“Everything was good except that I had to wait for an hour after travelling, during the check in as I was early (2 PM). Lot of breakfast options but the bagels were hard as rock, must have been wrapped properly, the fruits should be cut into even more small pieces and also cooked oats must have been placed instead of packets as people might not have time to cook in the morning, I was in a rush to my office and had to grab a banana for this reason.”
